Really nice mid-range hotel in Furnas that is walking distance to the fumaroles and other attractions in town. The room we had, while a little bit tight, had a nice balcony that overlooked the town and the surrounding hills of the caldera. It was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good, and it was nice to have a fancy coffee machine available. The views from the dining room are spectacular. Also, the bar that opens in the evening has an outdoor patio, which is fun if the weather is nice. There's some resident pheasants nearby that announce their presence, which I haven't heard since I was a boy and a nice experience. Parking is limited so if you come in high season you may need to make appropriate arrangements. The staff were prompt in responding to questions in the Booking chat. They really made the experience for us in Furnas very enjoyable and I highly recommend other travelers choose this hotel if coming to the area.

+Absolutely amazing staff – Tania is a star! Her energy, positivity, and insider knowledge made my stay unforgettable. She shared the best tips on what to do, where to go, and what local food to try – all with a big smile. Tania was honestly a highlight of my trip to São Miguel – the first local who radiated such genuine, welcoming energy. With her ideas and attitude, I’d say she belongs on the Azores tourism council – she gets what travellers need and love! +Room 205 was lovely and warm – heating worked perfectly, making it super cosy. Later stayed in Room 325, which was much colder and quite hard to warm up, to be honest. + Huge, comfy bed! A 2m x 2m mattress that felt like sleeping on a cloud. And the pillows? Pure magic – I need to find out where to get them! + Pool table available to be used for free. You have a huge potential as a hotel- try to find a niche to fill, for instance with serving only local food and promoting it in such way.

-Breakfast could be improved a bit – instead of cold ham, consider grilling it for a warm bacon-style option. As for the sausages… well, I think you’ve noticed how many are left untouched after each breakfast 😄

Such a wonderful hotel, with wonderful staff and a wonderful view over a wondeful little town!!! We came to stay 2 days and here I am on Day 6 writing a review! The hotel is really cool and has everything you need for such a good price. The room is really comfortable with a massive bed and a balcony you can just spend hours on in the sun (when it shines) admiring the view, or even watching the rain is quite relaxing. Breakfast is a huge buffet of everything you could need with coffee machines and orange juice as well. Best of all is the staff. Tania on the front desk is simply a bunde of joy and will enthusiastically give you all the info you need about the island. All the rest of the staff say hello to you as well... I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Good location with great views. The staff were very friendly and professional. The room was cozy, clean with a very big and clean comfortable bed. Bathroom was very clean and good size. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice of food. Parking spaces available. Very close to visit the attractions.

Very steep end of the road so just be careful driving up.

Hotel was comfortable, quiet, stylish and light. All bedrooms and public rooms have a wall/sliding doors of glass to take in the sub-tropical view down the 'valley' - and framed by palms at the hotel. Lots of comfortable sitting and lounging areas inside and out (all with the view). Pleasant bar. Pool/snooker room (no view!). Swimming pool was larger than expected from the picture - small but adequate to swim in a circle. Good breakfast: standard range, but all good quality and fresh, with some changes day-to-day. Buffet constantly topped up. Bedroom, unlike most hotels, had two comfy (and stylish) arm chairs, as well as balcony furniture. Firm, but not hard, bed. Good wifi. (Best we had in the Azores). Parking at hotel (mid-May) fine. Easy walk (10 mins) to restaurants, along attractive residential street. Friendly and pleasant staff. All in all, loved it. Marketing types would call it a bijou, boutique hotel!

Very nice hotel. The room was big with its own bathroom. I loved the big bathtub! And the view from the balcony (3rd floor) was so beautiful. I highly appreciate that there was a cattle with two cups and tea (black and green) as well as a big beautiful bottle of local mineral water in the room. The tea and water were refilled every day when the maids cleaned up the room. The bedding sheets smelled fresh and the bed was big and comfortable. There was also an extra blanket if you feel chilly. There was a really nice chain of lights attached to the wall behind the bed that gave a cozy light. Additionally, there were two table lamps on each side of the bed and a big room light. The balcony had two curtains, one see through curtain to keep insects out and a thick curtain to keep the room dark at night. They did a good job. A second pool was being renovated while I was there which should be ready to be used in July 2023. I didn't get to use the pools because the weather was too chilly and sun and rain alternated too often, so I preferred the hot springs in the city instead, but in the peak of summer they would be really nice to have. The hotel was super quiet and the staff was friendly and speaks fluent English and French. I really enjoyed my stay. I don't understand why this hotel has only 1 star. It should be at least 2, if not 3. I highly recommend this place.

The only thing that might bother some people is that in order to get to the hotel you have to walk up a small hill. It's not really an issue and I think it's worth it because it means you get to be in a quiet place.

This hotel is located on the outskirts of Furnas and overlooks the town itself. Easy walking distance to the main attractions: Terra Nostra gardens, Poca da Dona Beija hot springs, restaurants like Miroma (serves an exceptional cozido das Furnas), & Calderas Square (Largo das Caldeiras). Spotlessly clean, has WiFi, a pool (which I didn't use with hot springs so close by), and a bar. The 10 euro additional charge for breakfast (which they warn you in advance about) is well worth it.

Bathroom was a bit dated and the shower head didn’t stay up properly and water went all over the floor.

We really liked the location - it was quiet and calm but also really close to the center and all the restaurants. A lot of parking spaces and nice breakfast (especially all the fruit).

The toilet and bath would love some renovation.

Wonderful view from the balcony, nice in the sun with chairs. nice breakfast hall/bar, building with a lot of character. Comfortable bed, good breakfast. Friendly staff! Feels like a place with a lot of potential.
