Overall I was really happy with our 1 night stay. Good price, clean room, nice owner and staff. Close to the beach and Tesco if you need groceries for the beach. Breakfast was charged separately but it was good too. Bed mattress was too soft for me, but I think it's a personal prefference. As others mentioned before the water in the shower might be tricky, but we didn't experience any problems really as I think we showered before everybody else came back from the beach. Hotel car park is limited and spaces are really narrow, so if you come with kids it's better to park on the road. I might use this hotel again in the future for short stay.
Family room on the top floor- I was aware of that thanks to the reviews here, so it was OK for a 1 night stay with 1.5 year old toddler although I think I need to mention that it is not very safe with open windows as they open from the bottom (no air con). TV didn't work at 5am but we didn't ask anyone to fix it that early in the morning, we just red daily news online (no big deal for us really).

The overall presentation of the hotel is good. There’s a large bar area and the restaurant/breakfast room is well-appointed. The bed in our room was comfortable but soft so bounced a bit when turning during sleep! The bathroom was very modern and clean.
We had only one towel each provided (no hand towel). The shower was good but only an overhead rainforest style one so take a flannel if you wish, as one is not provided. There were no glasses for water. There was a lovely, three part bay window but the curtains (on poles) didn’t cover the window well and were not blackout, so the room was very light. Luckily, I wear an eye mask!

A clean, comfortable & well maintained hotel. Staff are friendly & helpful. Our room was spotless. Bed & pillows comfy. Giant TV on wall. Bathroom was spacious with toilet, shower & wash hand basin. Walkable distance to town centre (but it is all down hill). This is our 2nd /3rd visit here.
Having to pay to park BUT this is a pet hate of mine anywhere I stay! To be fair, Cecil Hotel charge £10 per stay which is acceptable to keep car off road & trying to find a space to park. Also June 2025 - large building being built next door so got woken by the building works next door - stayed Wed & Thurs nights.

The bed was comfortable, there was a good size too. The staff were happy and helpful, it was a decent size room with tea and coffee making. There was a good size bar area and selection of drinks.
The bathroom needed to be cleaner, the floor especially, to get any hot water we had to run the water for upto 5 minutes. The breakfast was ok a little dried up, not the best. I didn’t like that we had to pay £10 for parking, but was given no assurance I could park in their parking area. There was bags of rubbish left outside our room for a day, and the hallway carpets needed to be vacuuming.

We have stayed in this hotel before in 2019 , however it has been re-furbished , and everything was like new . The room we had was lovely , spotlessly clean, warm ,comfortable beds, large television, quiet, well set out, very nice decor . Top marks, the lady who booked us in at the hotel was very freindly and helpful, when she saw us she offered to put us in a different room on the ground floor . I am 73 and my wife is 70, but we are both fit and healthy, so we were quite happy with room 20 . We don't eat Breakfast so we booked room only . As we had been there before, we knew the location which is Great for the town centre, the beach, the pier, and the lovely park in the centre of town . We would Highly Recommend this hotel, and we would definately stay there again . We were very pleased and couldn,t fault anything, and it was Great Value for Money . Thank You Cecil Court Hotel First Class.
The only thing that could have been better, would have been warmer weather, as it was January, we had Sunshine, but being winter it wasn,t very warm , but it was lovely and warm in the hotel . Brilliant.

Very good location. Clean and comfortable and friendly helpful staff. Very limited parking which cost £10 but we did get a space and left our car there during our stay. Breakfast was okay. Overall I consider the hotel good value for money although the parking situation could be a problem for some people.
Apart from the parking which there’s nothing really that can be done about the only other minor criticism was with breakfast. It came with tinned tomatoes rather than fresh and the sausage had little taste. But there was a good choice of cereals, bread and drinks.

The lovely lady on reception was so helpful and accommodating, she changed my room as I have trouble with stairs so she put me on the lower floor. She was very cheerful and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable and had everything you would need. Shower was good, plenty of hot water. Great value for money.
Felt quite cold, there was no heating on, it was a cold, wet, windy day, was told it was on a timer, but I arrived at 3.30, went out at 6pm and still no heating, when I got back at 8pm my radiator in my room was barely warm so I felt chilled, it could only have been on an hour or so, this time of year heating should be on a lot longer. It didn't spoil my stay, but it should be addressed. The bathroom in my room was a bit small, sink was tiny, had to fill my kettle with the glass as couldn't get kettle under the tap, you wouldn't be able to have a proper wash as so shallow.

Arrived way before check in time to ask if I could park at the property and return later to check in. Was met with a lovely, friendly smile and told that I could check in there and then, but would need to wait till a bit later to actually go up to the room (which was perfectly fine with me as we were heading down to the beach anyway) The staff are really helpful and so friendly, you feel very welcome here. The room was lovely and clean with comfortable beds. We were pleased to see 3 extra pillows in the wardrobe but unfortunately the pillows were very lack lustre so even with 2 each, they weren’t enough. The property is in a great destination for heading to Bournemouth pier, only a 10 minute walk.
The only thing were the pillows not being full enough but this wouldn’t stop me from returning.

I had a warm welcome from the receptionist and the hotel owner both very nice. Everywhere was clean to a good standard and the room was also very clean and a good size. It was comfortable and so was the mattress. Bathroom also great well stocked with the necessities inc shower gel. Tea coffee decent kettle and hair dryer. Enjoyed my stay. Location also handy to the town and there's a pub and corner shop within a 2 minute walk of the hotel

We like the location of the hotel and the Goat and Tricycle pub is just around the corner which is a great bonus. Our room was clean and comfortable. We didn't sample the breakfast as this was not included in the price and it had to be confirmed by 8pm the evening before so we opted to eat elsewhere. The location is good to walk into the town (we usually walk from the train station and stop to say hello to the Bournemouth goats en-route!) It's not too far from the sea front and that is a lovely walk. The hotel kindly allowed us to leave our luggage with them whilst we went shopping and colllected them at the end of the day.
No hand towels in the en-suite and the water temperature from the power shower was a bit variable but otherwise okay. Would perhaps sample breakfast next time but can't comment on food
