The cooked and non-cooked breakfasts were excellent. I had poached eggs, which I adore, and they were done perfectly. Brown toast was granary and delicious. Tea was good and plenty of cold drinks were on offer too - my partner doesn't drink hot beverages. I am a vegetarian, and there was an excellent choice of foods, including fresh fruit. My partner eats meat, and he was very happily catered to. The room we chose was at the top of the house, but that made it quieter, and the views were excellent. It was a particularly hot weekend, but there was a fan, and we brought our own too! There were fridges on each landing. The ensuite was huge and immaculate. Because it is a guest house, the bedroom was cleaned, and the bed was made while we were out each day. Perfect. We walked everywhere, although I used a wheelchair to walk around the gardens.
There was nothing that we didn't like!

I booked this place last minute for a hike I had at Dinorwic Quarrey - I was really pleasantly surprised by the single occupancy rooms, they had a double bed, en-suite bathroom and was decorated in a really homely and cosy way. Mine was room 8 which had a view of the hills and cows which I liked. The Bed and Breakfast owners were really kind and lovely and made my breakfast for me early because I had to leave earlier for a booked hike. The full English veggie breakfast was hot and tasty. The car park is on a slightly steep hill, but it’s a short hill, you could also park just outside and take the steps up. Would book again if I had a hike in the surrounding area.
Maybe the bathroom is quite small for the single occupancy room but it’s also meant to be for 1 person so I’m not complaining.

This is the fourth time we have been to this B&B as we find Andrew & Gill excellent hosts. Nothing is too much trouble; their knowledge of the area helps with you deciding what to do each day. Breakfasts are second to none! Rooms generous and you have everything you need and more. Only a short walk into Conwy.
There's nothing that we don't like. As I say this is the fourth time we have been and no doubt will be returning next year! If I'm pushed I would say that the house is on a steep hill so it's not suitable for travellers with mobility issues but then it states that on the website 🤷♀️.

My friend and I traveled to Conwy for hiking and sightseeing, and we were absolutely fascinated by our stay at Bryn Derwen — it was one of the best experiences ever! Let me just list all the things we found amazing: - the mountain view from our first-floor room (the guest house is situated on a hill), - the cleanliness of the room, the bathroom, and all the other facilities; the house is also pretty and beautifully decorated, - the hosts, who are very nice and helpful, - the breakfasts! They offer different options, and all of them are freshly cooked for you by the host, - the little things, like fresh milk, all the toiletries that you might need, and the hosts' eagerness to meet your needs and provide tips. Thank you for such an enjoyable experience!
Nope, nothing to write here, it is perfect as it is :)

We had a fabulous stay in Andrew and Gill’s beautiful manor home. The location is excellent, with a stunning view and just a 10 min walk to the heart of Conwy, and the hospitality was second to none. Andrew and Gill were so welcoming and gave lots of great tips and recommendations. The breakfast was exceptional!! Highly recommend - we would love to come back.
A minor point of personal preference m, but I’ve noticed when staying in British accommodation that it is rare for bedding to have a top sheet. The pillows also didn’t have a protective casing - just the one pillowcase exposing the pillow underneath. I find this a bit uncomfortable and not as hygienic/breathable as I would like, although I can’t fault the cleanliness of the place overall.

Bryn Derwen is located just outside the town walls and thereby easy to walk into the centre. The owners were very hospitable. We had a top floor room which was spacious, comfortable and with a well-equipped bathroom and a lovely view out of the window.
We knew from the details that Bryn Derwen's house was built on a hill and you needed to access the car park at the back by driving up a fairly steep hill. Driving back down unfortunately was tricky at the bottom because of the level of the bottom of the drive and the car's front bumper did get scraped. After that, we parked in one of the two spaces at the front of the property. Be aware that there are a number of steps to climb up to the property.

This was our second stay at Bryn which is conveniently placed for walking into town and to visit our relatives. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful and their B & B is spotless. There is a good variety of cold food available at breakfast and the cooked-to-order full welsh is extremely tasty. There is tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities in the bedrooms and fresh milk is available from a fridge on the landing. There are two parking spaces on the road in front of the B&B and further spaces up a steep drive behind the B&B.
There are a lot of steps from the road to the front door of the B & B and a few down from the rear car park making this venue unsuitable for those less mobile but don't let this put you off it is a really nice place to stay.

Location was fantastic, easy to get in and out of the city. Good communication from the hosts, easy check in and check out.
The driveway to the parking was tricky, and whether you park street side or in the lot behind there's steps and a hill to negotiate either up to go in or up to go out. If you have walking difficulty, might be an issue. We managed. They could also use a sitting room for guests to gather in the evening: we were two couples, and sadly neither room was large enough for all of us to be together when we returned to the house. It would have been nice to have a common area, such as the dining area, open for us to just sit and relax.

Bryn Derwen is situated in an elevated position position on the east side of the Gyffin valley with views westward of Conwy mountain. The centre of Conwy is within easy walking distance, which saves the problem and expense of parking. Our room was comfortable, very clean and well equipped with tea and toiletries and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was outstanding: a piping hot and beautifully cooked full Welsh treat, ideal to fuel a day of activities
Everything was excellent and we will visit again if we stay in Conwy.

This accommodation in a grand old manor is absolutely perfect - one of the best B&B we have ever stayed in! It deserves an even higher score! Great location less than 10 minutes walk from the city centre, bus stop & train station. With a lovely mountain view, our room was quiet for sleeping even with the window open, immaculately clean & had everything we could want. Andrew & Gill were very welcoming - friendly, helpful & efficient. Our chosen vegetarian breakfast was delicious. We loved our stay here & recommend it 100%!
