We are so happy when we enter the unit. Very tidy, clean n in order. We love everything in the motel. The kitchen at it,s designated area( best with dish drainer ), the spacious toilet ( best if the water pressure is stronger ) and the comfortable linen ( bed could be too soft if u are not young ). We were given room 1 which was just beside the road. I thought it would be noisy but surprisingly not. Overall, we are really happy staying here. Too bad we only stay one night here. My children wish we can stay more night.

Good location close to central Oamaru and the Victorian Quarter. The motel unit we stayed in was at the rear of the property in a quiet location therefore no road noise. In addition, the unit appeared to have been designed to prevent airborne and impact noise from attached units which is a big plus in terms of having a good nights sleep

It is very handy to dining in and takeaway food options , the room was very comfortable and spacious and the beds comfortable.

I was disappointed with the shower the shower head kept falling down not holding its position and I had to take it off completely to shower, having said that the water pressure was excellent

We were made welcome by a very nice man at reception. We were in a 2 bedroom apartment at the back of the motel and found it to be quiet and comfortable and excellent value for money. We ate out so only made tea so cant comment on cooking facilities. Sheets and towels were lovely.

The location was perfect, we did not partake in the breakfast as we where moving on rather quickly in the morning. We will certainly rebook there again

Absolutely nothing we were very satisfied with our room and the location of it around the back of the office building. Nice and quiet and peaceful

we didn't have breakfast and never do when we stay at motels. The motel was quiet and restful for us.

It was a bit too far to walk to the centre of Oamaru, however, we did find a very good taxi operator who charged us a much lower rate to get into and back - ring around for the taxis.

Nice little motel. Spotlessly clean, roomy, comfortable beds, good shower, quiet, good parking. Only a short drive to the town centre. A special treat was a morning visit from the cat from the next door property, who stayed for breakfast and graciously tolerated our adoration.

Room had seperate bedroom from living area, which is really an upgrade from the usual bed in lounge room motel rooms. Also, the carpet was pretty new and loved that. The bathroom was also modern and stylish.

The only thing I can think of is a fan (ceiling fans or a standing fan) to circulate the air, otherwise I couldn't improve it.

Lovely Friendly Staff, were a pleasure to deal with. Extremely accommodating.

But Colonial Lodge Motel has been Amazing and gave me faith in human kindness again, this was my last stay for our trip and has helped my mindset more than the realize, just by being kind can change a lot for a person, and due to their kindness I feel I will have a good day. They need to update the local restaurant menus as they are over 2 years out of date.
