I ended up staying for 4 nights instead of 3 and also booked again for later in the year. The first 3 nights I spent in Corfmullen. It’s a beautifully decked out caravan with a very comfortable bed and plenty of storage. Ian and Rich the hosts know how to make something so simple look so nice. It has its own outside seating area with fire pit tucked away in woodland at the bottom of the garden. Breakfast is included in the property in a converted barn unlimited tea and coffee, bread and cereals. If you want to bring more there’s plenty of appliances to cook on. An air fryer, 2 camping stoves, a microwave and toaster there’s even an ice machine! A big breakfast table and a seating area should you want to watch tv! The shower is clean and very good powerful and hot but also this year they are utilising an outside barn for outdoor showers! There is even a compost toilet for those brave enough! Last night I stayed in a pod Fistral with a cute metal 4 poster bed and a small fridge and a table with outdoor seating. Did I mention all the beds have electric blankets and they’re put on for you ready on cold nights! There is also free wi-fi which is very good. 15 minute walk down the lane there is the local pub called the pheasant good food and beer awaits! Thanks guys for a wonderful stay and see Walter in the year!
There is only one shower atm so when it’s summer and busy there’s probably a wait for it however they are building more! It would be a biggie in busier months I guess. Don’t be put off by the lane driving down it’s a bit lumpy in places but take your time and it’s very easily accessible.

The pods were absolutely amazing, they were all warmed up ready for when we got here, the heared blanket was the best and was needed in this cold weather, we had to turn it down because it was so warm in here, the breakfast bar was lovely, plenty choose from plus I loved the honesty box and how you could get extra snacks and food for a small price, I also liked the story of st newlina and how you have a statue of her at the spring, The owners are very nice and welcoming, they make sure your ok and don't come around annoying you every 2 minutes, all in all it was a perfect home from home retreat for us, we will definitely be back in the summer when I visit Cornwall again
The rain but that wasn't anything anybody could help

I had a king pod travelling alone. It was incredibly quaint and comfortable. The hosts Ian and Richard were very nice too.. I think more showers might be appropriate for the number of guests when full.. as I found it off putting getting in a shower full of the last person's suds, etc.. I'm too ocd for that and something I will definitely take into account should I go glamping again.. I also borrowed a kettle for my stay. The breakfast area was a couple of minutes' walk, and no doubt I would have spilt most of it.. so yes, I'd suggest kettles, too.. your left to do as you wish, and I enjoyed that.. would I go back? Absolutely I would, and I highly recommend it here.. thank you for a great break..

A gorgeous venue, a real hidden gem! The yurt we stayed in was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The beds were so soft and the electric blankets made it extremely cozy. Your own personal fire pits outside are an amazing addition, and you can purchase all you need at the shop on site. It may be a shared bathroom but it never felt like it. All other guests were extremely clean and respectful plus there are more loos about if occupied with a shower. The guys running Penhallow are 10/10 and would return for banter with Ian ANY DAY! The free roaming chickens and chick's are adorable and lovely to see. Really loved absolutely every second of our stay and already planning an even longer return as It's a lovely escape from every day life
The road coming in is very rattly as it's quite pot-holey but if you drive slowly and carefully you'll be fine

An excellent 'rustic' glamping experience. Good to reset the mind and appreciate life. The hosts were very friendly and helpful but didn't impose themselves in any way. So much done on trust here and I hope people don't abuse the trust. As Rich said "it's nice to trust people"..and indeed it is. We're nearer 70 than 60 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our pod was compact and felt very comfortable and cosy. Wifi was a benefit. We came away with our batteries recharged!
It wasn't a problem for us but I guess only 1 shower might be a problem if site is full. Drive slowly and carefully along the lane.

Friendly and warm welcome from Ian with a tour of the beautiful site and facilities. Breakfast room well stocked with breads, fruit, fresh eggs, jams and marmalade, a choice of cereals and teas or coffee. Access to fridges for own supplies Beds comfortable and warm with electric blankets Seating outside with fire pit Honesty box with a well stocked choice of snacks, toiletries, ice cream, marshmallows for roasting etc! Shower room and toilets spotlessly clean Perfect peaceful location but the cockerels will be your natural early morning alarm clock! We didn’t mind this at all and loved to see the chickens roaming! Fantastic value for money
There was nothing we didn’t like and will return! I would definitely recommend to family and friends who are looking for a break away from the towns and cities.

It was cosy and nice to be also around wildlife…woken by cockerels was actually nice and it made a pleasant change to our usual hotel stays. This was our first time glamping. Not sure we could do it for more than a few nights but would do it again for sure!. We met briefly a couple of times the guy who runs the glamping site and he seemed a nice guy, thank you. Sorry we didn’t get chance to say good bye and had to hand the key to we believe a friend/the yoga lady?.
The only thing I would say could do with improving is the single track road from the country lane to the property. We’ve never known so many pot holes and not sure how we got back up to East Yorkshire from Cornwall, with so many lights on the screen in the car!…which had to go to the garage to be fixed!…suspension etc. Other than that road, we would definitely stay again and would recommended. :)

Our stay at Penhallow House was absolutely lovely. Set on a farm with friendly animals all around, it offered a serene and beautiful atmosphere. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, adding to the charm of the whole experience. The glamping tent exceeded our expectations with a super comfy bed, undercover heating for cooler nights, and mood-setting lights that created a perfect environment. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into making these accommodations both comfortable and enchanting. Highly recommend for a unique and relaxing time.
Just some tips for improvement: there was light coming into the tents in the morning, and we had brought only one sleeping mask with us. It would be useful if the accommodation could provide spare ones. Similarly, with earplugs—having the turkey and chickens around us on the farm was so lovely, but they start their day crowing way earlier than our anticipated wake-up time haha- So, it would again be useful to have some spare earplugs in the accommodation for that reason!

This is a bit different! Glamping might not be for everyone but it really is great fun indeed. Lovely rural setting but within easy driving distance of Newquay and Fistral beach. Very quirky but very interesting too. The on site self service breakfast room is joyful and good. Hens wandering about the place and I reckon that contributes to the delicious eggs. I would highly recommend but be sure you are comfortable with the idea of glamping first. And then embrace it fully, you certainly will enjoy it!

Penhallow House is just gorgeous. It was my first time glamping and I absolutely adieed it. The bell tents are so boho and cosy. The heated blanket is *chef's kiss*. The hosts are wonderful and the daily dose of homemade muffins which are a different flavour every day we're the icing on the cake. Oh and the mother hen and her 8 little chicks were just adorable. As was the friendly guinea pig. I can't wait to go back.
Nothing. It was perfect!
