If you’re visiting Edinburgh and want to be right in the heart of the city, Point A Hotel is hard to beat. The location is perfect and you can walk to many of the city’s attractions and soak up the vibrant atmosphere. The rooms are spotlessly clean. However, the pricing is quite reasonable for the quality offered, my mornings weren’t as peaceful as I’d hoped; the noise from the cleaning staff made it hard to sleep in, I also think the staff could be a bit warmer and more welcoming. After all, Edinburgh is a city that greets tourists from every corner of the globe, and that first impression counts.

Great location. Very clean and modern. Lovely breakfast. Great facilities. Would definitely return and recommend. Such a wonderful inner city location. it is a perfect hotel, very eco friendly and has everything you need in the reception area, umbrellas, water , snacks, tour leaflets, a vending machine of essentials, beautiful furniture and cosy fire places. Staff are very friendly. I really would score it 10/10. 5 stars.

The rooms are small but that's expected in such a wonderful inner city location. I can't say there was anything I didn't like, it is a perfect hotel.

Location great and very clean and modern.

We didn't take the breakfast option, but there were no Tea or Coffee facilities unless you paid for a cup of tea.

Great location. We only stayed one night but it was only a short walk to everything we wanted to see with great transport links. Room was very clean and comfy. Shower was excellent. We would definitely recommend it to others and would stay again.

The reception staff were non attentive, they didn’t give us any information regarding our stay eg when and where breakfast is check out times etc, despite 3 staff members all stood talking to eachother by the reception desk. We also saw them being rude to members of the breakfast staff, in front of guests which was very unprofessional. It also came across that it was inconvenient for us to check out. This was with different members of the reception staff each time. They did not create a welcoming atmosphere for us which was very disappointing.

Perfect for what was needed for a long weekend stay to explore the city. Great location, able to walk into the centre with some coffee options on route. The room came with a smart tv which you can chrome cast to by your phone which was excellent, plug socket by the bed, modern and clean bathroom and bed was comfortable.

The room isn’t the most spacious and only one side of the bed had a plug socket, although minor not the best for couples/friends who would ideally like a plug socket each!

The hotel is clean and modern. The staff were friendly and helpful. Their was a couple of bits if dry food on the sofa and the windows were very dirty, which was a shame because we had a lovely view. The thing I found most inconvenient was the fact that there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. If you want a hot drink you have to go down to the foyer and pay for one. If I wanted a drink late on the night when I'm in my pj's I am not going to be walking downstairs. Think that really needs rethinking . Breakfast was lovely. Fresh pastries, cereal, yoghurt and fruit. Really nice and fresh .

Everything was nice and clean. Staff was always happy to help, nothing was wrong. Location of the hotel is really great. You have smart TV in your room with Chromecast and Youtube. Hotel offers really fast internet connection.

Comfort is limited, but it is a cheap hotel so you can expect that. Especially the size of the room surprised me negatively. No closet, nothing. Really just for sleeping. Breakfast was really basic but good. Especially the sweet and savoury pastries were delicious. Unfortunately the breakfast offer is so limited that on the third day we already went to the city for breakfast. Also I have to mention only one electric socket next to bed and none electric socket in bathroom.

Location is excellent, easy to get to from the airport via public transport as just a short walk from Haymarket and within easy walking distance of the sites e.g. Castle, Royal Mile etc. Lots of bars, restaurants, shops etc nearby too so very convenient for a short stay. The staff are all really helpful and friendly and the lobby/restaurant area is bright and welcoming. We didn't include breakfast in our booking but did eat here during our stay (plans were changed due to Storm Eowyn!) and we found the continental breakfast to be good value. Room was clean and quiet, with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Rooms are on the small side but perfect for a couple and a short weekend break. There are no tea/coffee facilities in the room which we did miss.

Very good hotel for people looking for cost benefit. If you will just sleep and take a shower it is a very good place. Walking distance from the Royal Mile. About 10 minutes easy walk. Close to the Royal mile you will need to go uphill but not a bad one . Bathroom really clean. Beds Ok and room clean. Be aware that some rooms have no window so make sure you look at it when making the reservation. Rooms with windows are much better. I would definitely stay again as the cost and benefits overcome any disappointment you may have.

They clean the room and change towels every two days. For me it did not bother but for some people it might be a problem...Room is not too big and there was no wardrobe however they have place to hang clothes on the walls. This might bother some people but for me it was OK.
