Well Cottage is the perfect ‘Home from Home’. Bridgette and Neil are excellent hosts, welcoming, friendly…and they provide a superb breakfast! They only have three en-suite rooms, so are able to give all of their guests very personal attention. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. It was lovely to wake up to birdsong every morning, as that was all that we could hear. The location of Well Cottage is the lovely village of Ewan, which doesn’t have a lot going on; no pub or shop, but it is only 8 minutes drive to Cirencester, and less to Kemble, which have lots of both; but it is quiet and peaceful and only two minutes walk to the Thames Path. The garden at Well Cottage is also a delight, sitting on one of the many garden chairs on a sunny evening is a delightful way to end a busy day.
Absolutely nothing!

This stay was absolutely amazing. It started with a patient communication since we arrived later than planned. Then we had a very pleasant first impression from the warm welcome from Neil. The room was much better looking than in the photos and had a nice view into the garden. Everything about it was pleasant and comfortable. Breakfasts are superb. You get to choose from 3 basic options but can combine them. Orange fresh, smoked salmon, nice selection of quality jams and marmelades, and more. Plus there is conversation, if you want. The breakfast room is a definition of tranquility and it just about completes the relaxed picture of the whole stay. The owners very much enjoy serving people and talking to them and I found out a lot about the area, tips on what to see and the life in the UK thanks to that. And I loved their humour, so light and yet so on point. I am not exaggerating when I say that this was the best stay we had in the whole UK after travelling the distance from London over to the Scottish highlands, and that's saying something.
Keep in mind that I am nitpicking here. The shower hose is hard to operate since it's confined to this little shelf. And parking isn't exactly easy when the lot reaches its capacity, or at least for me it wasn't since I was getting used to the rented car.

Loved absolutely everything about this delightful B&B. On arrival we were greeted by Neil in such a warm friendly way, it felt we were coming home to family. The room was comfortable and well equipped, shower had good pressure and the bathroom was warm. breakfast was very tasty indeed and made with locally sourced ingredients. Bridget and Neil took time to chat to us and their other guests breakfast and, in my opinion, were excellent hosts. For me who lives in a city but is a country girl at heart, looking out the window each morning and seeing sheep in the field was a real treat….good for my soul. Would love to come back, maybe in the Summer to make the most of the gorgeous countryside and Neil & Bridget’s hospitality.

The breakfast was excellent! not too much and not too little as it came but we were always asked if we wanted anything else and if there was anything more they could do for us, Bridget and Neil were the perfect hosts. I asked if they had any English mustard on the first day we had breakfast which they didn't but they went out and got for me and the next day it was on the table. my wife and I Really enjoyed our morning breakfast chats with Bridget and Neil, they were lovely to chat to and interesting as well as being warm friendly and engaging. Bridget and Neil were very knowledgeable about the Cotswolds and were able to give us some good tips and a bit of local gossip! The location was perfect for what we wanted, a peaceful location and a great base to explore the Cotswolds.
There was nothing to dislike!

Very nice clean and comfortable room, which had enough room for us, though the bathroom was a liitle small. As its situated in a small village its very quiet. Its not near anything else and so you have to drive to get anywhere, especially as the village pub is closed at the moment. It didn't help the main road that our SatNav dent us on was closed due to flooding. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice and always offers of more. Our hosts were a very friendly couple, who would help with any information we required.
The room and the breakfast. The quietness as well.

This was a perfect find within a stone throw of a nearby wedding venue. The owners were an extremely hard working couple dedicated to making guests very welcome . The facilities entailed parking and an extremely clean and well managed accommodation. The breakfast was cooked to a high standard to meet individual needs. We enjoyed three night’s stay which was found to be well above all expectations . Strongly recommended. Value for money . Thanks to Bridget and Neil .. excellent hosts
Nothing to add .

We are definitely planning to return! A big thank you to Bridget and Neil once again for making our stay so memorable. – Zsofia & Jerome

Everything….nothing NOT to like!! Welcoming hosts, clean, comfortable rooms, freshly cooked breakfast, tranquil location…..perfect for my needs.
I was travelling with friends in their hire car, so transport wasn’t an issue. If you choose to stay here, (and I highly recommend you do!) you will need a car because of its location, also as there are no eateries in this village, you will need to drive if you choose to dine out in the evening. NOT a complaint, simply sharing my thoughts.

Well Cottage is a lovely family run B & B in the heart of the Cotswolds and is a great base from which to explore this beautiful English countryside. Neil and Bridget were fabulous hosts and we would definitely stay there again.
The shower could have been a bit bigger as my husband had a bit of trouble fitting in it but it really didn't spoil our stay.
