The cleanliness and vinyl floors were nice. You could visibly see how clean they were. Shower products smelled divine and were local. Bought some for home online. The ability to bring my large dog was the reason I chose Wayfinder. Parking was ample, there are areas to walk the dog, apparently there is a pool onsite that I may have missed or is outside and closed this time of year (March). I was grateful to have breakfast & coffee on-site in the morning.

A couple cons- no bureau in the bedroom. A longer stay would’ve created a challenge to share 5 hangers between two people. Really the only suggestion I have. Was a little pricey at $600+ for two nights, with $100 of that dog fees. If rates go up in the summer I wouldn’t be able to afford to stay again.

The one thing that I would love to highlight is the customer service. The staff at Wayfinder impressed me to the point that I chose to write a Google Review. Even though it was extremely late at night and I could tell the staff were slammed during Labor Day weekend, Lisa and Emre especially treated me and my family with empathy, patience, and efficiency in solving the predicaments I presented. I don’t expect things to be perfect off the bat because we are all human, but I do have high expectations regarding the effort staff put in to solve the presented problems. The general manager also did a fantastic job at handling my frustrations. He deescalated the situation and my frustrations while also keeping his calm when explaining his resolution. Also, the decor was very trendy and nice. The drink voucher to enjoy the new lounge was also a nice touch. However, the customer service is what stands out because that is what made my family’s stay here worthwhile.

Being transparent, the layout was the biggest problem. I would say that the mismatched design and confusing hallway system can be off-putting for patrons. I would say that blocking off certain areas that are unfinished or make the stay look less cohesive would leave a better impression on the customers because we wouldn’t no better. Even though this reduces the space, I feel like quality over quantity is what customers base their impressions on!

Location is great. The room was beautiful and clean. 2-room suite, which was a surprise. Staff was all friendly. The price per night was very good off-season. Kinda loved seeing various dogs around the property. Pet friendly.

Our fridge and microwave kept shorting out, which was frustrating. They did send people up right away to fix it twice, though. The shower was nice, but there are absolutely no shelves to put your soap, shaver, etc. on… made it a little hard to manage. Don’t love that they tack on $50 per NIGHT as a ‘hold’ charge for damage or incidentals that they refund back to you. I can see one charge of $50 per stay, but if you stay for a week, they’ll tack on $350 extra that you have to wait to get back. That’s pretty extreme. I’ve stayed at lots of hotels, and can’t remember ever seeing this. Also, Bar closes at 9:00 pm, which is pretty early for a hotel bar.

While undergoing renovation they really are doing the best with the space they have. Everything was clean and staff was helpful and enjoyable to interact with. It had a nice charm and we look forward to returning when all the work is done.

The pool, closed as it may be in the winter, has beautiful lights hung all around it. When they’re right outside your window and on all night, I did find it a little too bright. The only other thing was the doors closing the hallway were a little loud in the room. But maybe most people wouldn’t notice it.

Hotel was modern and furnishings were up to date and stylish. Room was clean and bedding was comfortable. Bathroom was also clean and up to date. Lobby was cute - there was retro seating and a water station. All up to date. Location was 5 minute drive from downtown Newport but parking was easy to find. Loved staying there and would recommend to friends.

Booking.com failed to mention that there was a fire in the hotel and was under renovation. Finding the entrance was hard, because the signs weren't lit. The first room smelled like chemicals, the second one we checked had a few things not working. Pool was a bit dirty, but it was early morning when we went out there. But because the staff (Johnathan) was extremely understanding and above and beyond helpful, we stayed. The manager on on staff the next morning was also extremely polite and helpful. We're considering going back to stay there once the renovation is completed. Just because of the great way we were treated.

We liked the free drink chips for the bar at check in. The food at the restaurant was very good. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

We only had one wine glass in the room. For a room with four people, we only had two sets of towels. Would of liked more light in the living room especially near the comfy chair to read by. The hot water in the shower took awhile to warm up.

Cloud soft bed, blackout screen, reusable water bottles, Roku Smart streaming television, comfortable couch and very artsy decor.

Poor water pressure in shower, no breakfast deal and internal phone didn't work! Also a little isolated from all the fun sites in the city centre!

Great welcome. The room was large, light and clean. The bed was great and we were given a suite so had a comfy couch as well. The hotel has a limited restaurant menu and a bar so you don’t need to go out if you don’t want to

It’s not within walking distance of downtown so if you want to go there and have a drink you’ll need a taxi.

Updates were nice and well done. Great value for Newport.

There was a lot of noise in the hallway. Not the hotels fault but doesn’t seem very sound proof.
