I recently stayed at Hostal Laura for a week's holiday with my husband. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. They were extremely friendly and went out of their way to be helpful, offering great advice on local attractions and dining options. The hotel itself is impeccably maintained—everything was sparkling clean, from the rooms to the common areas. The location is unbeatable, situated right in the heart of Madrid. You're just steps away from fantastic restaurants, shops, and all the major sights, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The building also features a lift. Overall, it was a very nice experience, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Madrid.

First of all, I highly recommend this hotel. This is a 2 stars but more of a 3 stars hotel. I was checking it out as I have a hiking/travel business and was looking for a place to stay with my clients when I travel to Spain. - The staff are wonderful, Inna in particular is extremely nice, smily, welcoming and helpful. The gentleman at night was nice too and the cleaning staff were very lovely. - I travel once or twice per month around the world and this was probably the cleanest hotel I have been to. - The shower is extremely powerful - Aircon/ heating were working great - It is right in the city centre and surrounded by train stations - Room decoration was great - Fast Internet connection - Supermarket in the next street and off licence next to the front door - You can leave your luggage with them if you arrive before checking time, Inna also ensure that you know that you can use the toilet if needed. Overall a wonderful stay. I will go back with my clients.

- Well, I am a light sleeper and it could get really noisy even though we were away from the reception, we slept with the window open and could hear the lift overnight so bring earplugs. My partner did not get bothered. Just a suggestion - The TV has a lot of channels but all Spanish, it might be good to have a few in English, French, and maybe German for tourists.

We were messaged in advance by the hotel with how to get there which was very handy. The hotel itself is in Central location. Bars and restaurants near by. We were greeted by a friendly man on reception at check in who showed us to our room. We had free tea and coffee and free champagne ( Ching Ching) and chocolates . The room was very clean and very well designed for a small room ( that you would expect in central Madrid) and amazing Artwork throughout the building. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We would stay again definitely.

Noised travelled from other rooms but it wasn’t a major problem. Could have done with a couple more hooks in the room itself.

The location is super central, couldn't have been better.It is accessible to everything. The room size was fine and comfortable, had a nice little balcony. The hotel cleanliness was very good. The staff, especially Inna was very helpful supportive and resourceful. Will definitely book again when going to Madrid, and I recommend it to everyone.

Only that sometimes you get noise from neighbours rooms, but wasn't a big turnoff. The hotel is on a main street, sometimes you get police sirens, but it was fine, didn't bother us.

Excellent location right on Gran Via, comfortable beds, good value for money. I was in the city for a trade show at Feria Madrid, and with metro stations right on the doorstep it was really easy to travel to/from every day. Friendly staff. Would've been nice to have some kind of breakfast option, but with Starbucks downstairs and plenty of other options, it didn't really matter too much.

I can see why some people might find it a little noisy, as whilst they've definitely made some efforts the rooms are not completely soundproof. And Gran Via is a busy place. It was no issue for me as I'm not a light sleeper. Would've also been nice to have some English language channels on the TV, but not a huge issue.

The reception (Inna) was great, the location is fantastic, and the room itself was fine for our purposes. I traveled with a friend. There was one large bed and a smaller bed in the room. Everything was in good order and comfortable for a night's stay. If you are on a limited budget, the cost / benefit can't be beat.

We knew we weren't staying in a luxury hotel, so there's not much we didn't like. Our expectations were in line with the reality. The showerhead was placed a little high up, so that was a stretch. I don't think my shorter friend would've reached it.

Very nice Hostel. Excellent location close to the Metro station and a 24 hours supermarket. The room is big and nicely decorated. Very clean. There is a small fridge with water for the guests and coffee and tea making facilities. I stayed in a single room with a spacious bed and window facing a very quiet backyard. I received a message before I arrived with detailed explanation of how to get to the place by metro from the airport and it helped me so much, thank you very much for this service

It is a shame that some guests do not respect the hostel policy that prohibits smoking in the rooms and you can fill the smell of cigarettes in the corridor that enters the room (especially at night). Maybe if the managers of the place will severely fined these guests it will be stoped

Our room was clean, well-decorated, comfortable, with lots of natural light, and well-stocked with coffee and tea. The receptionist sent us very clear and detailed instructions on how to find and access the hostel (it was easy). The receptionist was very friendly and helpful during our stay. Although the walls are a bit thin, we found it overall very quiet at night. We had requested an interior room, and had gotten one. Nice! Great location for seeing the center of Madrid. Reasonably priced. We would stay here again.

Very kind and helpful staff, we were offered to change the room due to outside noise. Location is perfect if you want to stay in the city centre and have everything in walking distance.

The place is in general quite loud (in our experience it’s normal in Spain, but we are very noise sensitive) - we first were in a room facing the street which was very loud, then we moved to the other one facing the backyard and while it was quieter outside we heard people in neighbouring room.

Definitely, this is the best place to stay in Madrid! First of all the building is located on the beautiful Gran Via, very close to the Callao metro station (2-3 minutes walk). Rooms are small but very comfortable, lovely decorated, sheets are white like snow, comfortable bed and pillows. It's one of the cleanest place I've ever stayed! Cleaning is done every day! Staff is very nice and always eager to help you. As we've been there on Valentine's Day ... after cleaning we've found the room nice decorated and got a small gift and a card wishing Happy Valentine's Day! I like people doing small thing to make your stay very pleasant. I recommend this place as it has all you need ... close to Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Plaza Espana, Plaza Cibeles ... all at a walking distance. Tapas bars, restaurants, cafeterias, stores ... all around you. Thank you Hostal Lauria for our pleasant stay, for sure on our next visit will choose you once again!
