Very beautiful room in a historic building, very spacious and impeccably clean. coffee, tea and water always available. The staff were all very professional, close, very welcoming and available for anything we needed. The lounge has an amazing restaurant with different dining rooms, all with impressive decoration and a beautiful garden in between that it is also a cozy and idyllic space for summer and spring. The restaurant staff, where they serve a delicious breakfast, has a 5 stars Service and tasting meals are a unique experience. Located in the best part of Rethymno down town in a beautiful historic city. Colours were something that Impress us a lot and the hotel new how to use them in a very apropriate way.

One of the most beautiful hotels in Greece. It was like living in a small palace!! Upon arrival they gave us an upgrade to a junior suite. The receptionist Nikos and Stelios were always there to solve all your problems and suggest places to visit or restaurants! The breakfast was amazing. The hotel has everything you need and its in the center of the old town. The car parking ( with an extra fee) makes your holiday easier!! We will surely go back there again sometime!!

Central location with 2 restaurants as the feature. Comfortable clean room with extraordinary staff. Breakfast garden was special. Off site paid parking just steps away. Cost 27 Euro/day

There needed to be better communication. Not possible to drive to hotel and drop bags. That is ok but we needed to know that in advance, location of their partner parking and cost. Lot is only a few steps away but coming into town with no idea is not a good situation. Rooms were a little odd due to the very central location. They work with what they have and make it very nice. For us, because of tight stairs and our age not the best choice. Staff handles all the heavy lifting but still a little difficult. No big deal if a few years younger and location is great.

The courtyard where breakfast was served was beautiful and a very relaxing location. I loved the long duration for breakfast - 08:30 - 11:30, allowed for lazy mornings when required The breakfast was excellent, huge and they catered beautifully for my gluten free needs. The gf bread was delicious. The staff were very friendly and exceptionally helpful. Loved the farewell gift. Thank you.

The jaccuzi on the roof was not working, being repaired. No balcony to sit out on, but we did know that , its just nice to sit on a balcony, but that was not a huge problem.

We loved everything about our stay. The staff were amazing - they couldn’t have done more to help us. It was my birthday and I felt I was treated like royalty! Complimentary welcome drinks and snacks, a room upgrade and a lovely gift as we left - wow. The rooms are stunning and super comfortable, the restaurant courtyard is an absolute delight and the hotel is in the heart of beautiful Rethymno. Really - the nicest place to stay ever! We would absolutely love to return.

We loved everything!

I can't imagine coming to Rethymnon and staying anywhere else but at Avli. I can't imagine a more beautiful way to start the day, than having their special breakfast in their dream restaurant that captures the essence of Crete. This is our second time here and we will definitely be back. Only blessings to all those who keep this place alive

Nothing everything was amazing

Beautiful rooms in a central location. The staff were very friendly. It’s very clear that customer experience is very important to them, the little touches make it so special. Breakfast in Avli’s beautiful garden every morning was amazing and more than set us up for a day of exploring. Their restaurants are both well worth trying too. Avli was a fantastic base to explore the Rethymnon area and have a touch of luxury to come back to after a long day.

They upgraded our room, we got welcome drinks and food in one of there restaurants that are also very good! Room was amazing. Customer service was the best I’ve ever seen. They even gave us complementary water, wine, beer, and salad. They brought all of our luggage to our room. The breakfast is phenomenal and is a multiple course breakfast. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. If you don’t book here your missing out!

Central and great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our ‘cookie’ room was spacious, comfortable and had all amenities necessary. The breakfast was delicious and had a wide variety. We also dined at the hotel’s restaurant Raki ba Raki which also served delicious Cretan cuisine. We truly enjoyed our stay.
