Absolutely fab location! We wanted something out of the way and on this side of the island and this hotel provided that. The villa was great, private pool and they knew they were out of the way so provided a 5L bottle of water in the room you could buy for 70 baht. The communal pools are huge and loads of sun beds. The restaurant was lovely, we ate there for our evening meal and all enjoyed everything and it wasn’t overpriced.

It’s very very hilly! I would recommend a rucksack over a suitcase if you stay here. The breakfast wasn’t the best and if you want a croissant, they tried charging an extra 90 baht. Also I wouldn’t bother walking down to “the beach”. There’s hardly any beach, it’s super rocky and there’s no way you could lay towels down there. I wouldn’t waste the walk down like we did.

While the location is remote, it was exactly what we were looking for from a resort. The breakfast is one of the better we've had at hotels: well labeled and wide selection of items. We stayed a week and there were always new dishes to sample. There is a complimentary shuttle to/from the pier (twice daily). The hotel also picked us up when the ferry arrived. We most liked Tanote Beach, direct access from the hotel; the snorkeling is amazing, but it is quite crowded in the water. The hill from/to the resort is a doozy, but you can take your time still arrive within 5 minutes.

We used the complimentary shuttle to the pier one day and the scheduled return shuttle never showed up. We reached out via Whatsapp and were lied to once they replied (the lie: he's been there waiting since 4:30pm). It took an hour before the driver showed up; it's a 15 minute drive from the hotel to the pier. We understand things happen, but why not be truthful? It was very off-putting.

We loved that the hotel was only a ten minute drive to the main area but felt away from the back packer area and felt super chilled. Hotel were very helpful with arranging taxis, snorkelling trip which was the best we’ve done and picking up up! The pools were beautiful

Food could have been better and expected the room to be a bit nicer / brighter / more modern, nicer bathroom but on the whole was perfect for a few nights

This resort has all you need for a relaxing vacation! They offer you a shuttle from and to the pier which is already a good bargain, there is a pool with a gorgeous view, but most of all it is located over one of the best snorkeling spots on the island. The staff was friendly and very helpful

I suppose the TV wasn't working but it not a big deal if you have such a view from the balcony :)

Our main reason for visiting Tanote Bay was for the snorkeling. This did not disappoint. The pool is excellent and the dining staff are wonderful. Breakfast was delicious and the evening meals were excellent as well.

On arrival, no hearty welcome whatsoever. In fact, it was the same greeting one would expect if going to a hardware store. Please work on this! Guests should be welcomed as it sets the tone!!! The initial accommodation we had booked - two bed with private pool - was poorly advertised as the rooms were not connected. One was above the other with separate stair entrance making it absolutely unsuitable for family stays with young kids. The private pool itself was poorly maintained with tiles missing and this accommodation needs a lot of work done. The hotel did arrange different accommodation - which was fine - but it was disappointing not to have the accommodation we had booked 8 months previous. I'd suggest rewording your listing to ensure future disappointments are avoided.

This is an excellent choice for a jungle get away Staff are amazing, friendly and so helpful. The beach is a step downand uphill! But completely managed. The beach has amazing corals and fish. One of the best bays on the island on your doorstep. Great restaurants on beach,cheap and tasty. Toilets and mask hire etc. Beautiful infinite pools with jacuzzi. Views of jungle paradise...it real5 feels like you're in the middle of jungle! No other restaurants around. ( Everything closes about 9pm.but 4 of us had dinner every night,, plus cocktails,4 nights and Lunches. Total cost was acceptable. Beautiful rooms and lodges. Beds so comfortable. Highly recommend for a few nights on tao. Whole island is a hill. 2 hour crossing cam be bumpy! Ferry cost 5000bht return for 4. Taxi from hotel to other beaches easy plus free shuttle taxi 4 times a day great Loved it..

Resort dependant other that taxi to town. Definitely a party island but this resorts away from it all.

We loved everything about Tanote Villa. It was 5* hotel, we had a beautiful deluxe room with a pool access which was amazing. The room itself was huge, perfectly equipped, very relaxed. The hotel itself was beautiful, very well decorated. We loved the restaurant and the breakfast? Wow!!! One of the best we ever had with a breathtaking views. They offered gyoza and dim sum, egg as you wish, variety of Thai food and drinks. The location was excelent, just 5 mins walk to the beach with one of the best snorkeling spots in Thailand. 100%!!!

Fantastic jungle hotel. Feels luxurious. Great pools and location to the best snorkeling beach. Tried 3 bays and this beach was the best for coral and fish.. Lovely beach restaurants too. Quiet.,clean, friendly hotel,great twice a day shuttle bus to port or town. Restaurant was good,never had a complaint. Are in beach at lunch and cocktails and food at the open air restaurant. Watched a storm come in over bay through jungle.,breathtaking views. The staff were wonderful. Would help with everything we needed. They made the stay extra special!

Fantastic location in the cliff in the middle of the jungle, beautiful view, very nice and attentive staff, beautiful villas. Amazing experience overall!

Would be handy to have mirror in the room, was only available in the bathroom, which was also pretty dark. The path to the beach is beautiful, but has a lot of garbage/dump along the way. It might be not for the hotel to clean it, but would be great initiative to perhaps collect some money (crowd funding) to get this beautiful nature clean and preserved - I’m sure all tourists would support and contribute to it.

It’s a lovely location with great views over the sea. It’s a short walk down and back up to and from the beach but we enjoyed this. The beach is great with brilliant snorkelling and you can also do the short walk up the road behind the Hotel to the sun and moon restaurant with a great cooking school, views and delicious food. We stayed in a pool villa, the rooms were comfortable and our pool was very nice. The main pools are big and beautiful to look at. The breakfast / dinner area is nicely decorated.

It’s a hotel in the jungle so to be expected but there were big spiders in the room. The main pool had lots of chemicals in it, our room pool was fine though.
