Fabulous pool and hot pools, lovely and helpful staff, clean rooms and comfortable bed

The cost for the pools could be a bit lower for people paying for accommodation. It wasn't very clear that it wasn't included in the cost of the accommodation and added a substantial cost to our stay, especially as my child wanted to go everyday and go on the slides.

We liked the location and the fact that th3 mineral pools were available too was a bonus. It was a beautiful place , staff were very helpful, and it had a cool air pad which the kids loved. I did enjoy communal access to bathrooms and toilets though unisex can be scary for some and could maybe be split into male and female but overall it was good as the showers all had individual areas. Lovely place though

I felt that the cooking facilities were ok but it does not have frying pans to use. I did see electric ones but could not see where the cords were. Bbq area has no lights so if cooking after 5pm you can not see. Beds were ok bunk beds that are built in wall creek and all alot so did not suit children over the age of 11 and the weight of 50+kg

Amazing Location, very friendly staff, despite being very busy, always answered questions with a smile! I forgot to get the young lady's name who checked us in, she was amazing!

We were in Chalet 6B, would be nice to have a verandah to dry clothes etc. No option inside the chalet as well. There should be a limit on # of people allowed for the pools... it was crammed...not really as relaxing as the photos depict!

We stayed in the deluxe lodge. The space was very suitable for my family. The open space living was able to cater to all three families that stayed over the weekend in the neighbouring suites. It provided us with everything we needed. I loved that there was daily services if needed, fresh towels daily and top ups on tea sugar and coffee. The warming floors were so comforting as I was the cook over the weekend. The firm beds were so comfy and the balcony was perfect big space for our big family to all come together and share a meal as one thank you Debretts

The only dislike was not being able to read the dials for the oven so wasn’t able to complete my baking I had prepared to do other than that everything was perfect

A room with a water jug and a bottle of milk was appreciated. Bed was comfy. I didn't realise I booked a room without an attached toilet and bathroom. But, in the end it wasn't too much hassle to walk across the road to the facilities. It would have been an issue if it was raining but it was just a typical frosty cool winter's morning so no major deal. The lovely staff when we booked in was a God-send after a long flight and then the drive from Auckland. I wish I had known the hot pools were closed due to a major weather incident during the week so we didn't get the hot soak we were after, but they suggested Wairakei Terraces and it was a brilliant suggestion and the best place for the hot soak. I'd stay here again in the summertime.

A walk to the toilet in the middle of the night.

We loved staying here it was only for a night, but it had everything we needed and would stay again in a heart beat. It made my daughter’s year having a bunk and the paper on the toilet (like Bluey) she still talks about it to this day. We have recommended it to others. We also loved the pool facilities, each pool was a different temperature which was nice to be able to pick from, that’s where we spent most of the next day. We can’t wait to visit again and hopefully our daughter can play on the playground and get a chance on the blob since unfortunelty the weather wasn’t nice when we visited. The staff were lovely and respectful we felt so welcomed even with the late check in they were extremely informative and answered all our questions and it made our stay more pleasant knowing we were taken care of.

The oven had cheese left like it was grilled inside.

I loved everything, the beds were so soft and cozy. It was the best sleep I have had in a long time, waking up in a quiet environment, everyone kept to themselves so it was very private for us. The space was space was nice and comforting, looked like it was newly renovated which I loved the most, Showers pressure was awesome! The service was great and the reception ladies were very knowledgeable of the property and everything and worked really quickly to tend to me never left me waiting around like most receptionists do. I loved the atmosphere.

I think I just didn't like the size of towel. I am a big girl and the towels were pretty small but that was all ok cause I bought a spare. So no dramas It was perfect size for my hair haha.

The cabin was lovely and definitely did us for the one night. Came with a little fridge as well which was a great touch. The toilet/shower block was very clean and the showers had great pressure. The kitchen area looked absolutely massive with loads of amenities. We also had a discounted rate to use the Spa below the resort which was cool.

Our cabin was joined onto another cabin that had one of those conjoining doors. The door was obviously locked from both sides but when the couple in the other cabin were leaving at 6 in the morning, they were being incredibly loud and we could hear everything through the door. Also the tumble dryers are awful. We did 2 cycles are our clothes we’re still pretty drenched.

The reception staff were super friendly and very accommodating and helpful. Our cabin had it's own kitchen and toilet/shower which were really clean, and the beds were comfy. The discount to pools was appreciated!! The renovations didn't have an impact on our visit.

It would be awesome if there was an evening rate available for people staying in the holiday park, so they could enjoy an hour or so at the end of the day. When people arrive to check in late afternoon, it's not worth paying the day rate for just an hour......but a soak would have been lovely after a long drive! We did enjoy a lot of time at the pools the next day though :)

Great little cottage with a nice porch, amenities and hot pools nearby. Rooms were clean and comfortable and we were delighted to find a laundry machine in the bathroom and drying rack supplied. There was a pleasant view from the porch with tropical looking plants around. We really enjoyed our time at this motel.

The cottage was part of the spa resort but unfortunately that did not include admission into the hot pools. There is an extra charge to go into the hot pools which, in my opinion, should be included in the stay (pool admission is discounted though).
