Accommodation was great, clean and tidy, and quiet. Location was wonderful, just a short stroll into town. Kids also liked the local playground one black away

The pool and spa area could be really nice, however, the pool lacked any cover to keep it warm and there were tiles falling off when my kids grabbed the edge of the pool. The spa was 2/3 full. We stayed 3 nights and in those 3 nights I presume there was no maintenance checks on the pool or spa as the spa remained with a low water level. We booked this accommodation purely for the heated pool and spa, but I'll booking elsewhere now considering that perk was below par on upkeep.

While the check-in process was straightforward, I was disappointed by the lack of information provided about the amenities. It would have been helpful to have details on the swimming pool, spa area, and a town map with key locations like supermarkets. Instead, we were left to figure things out on our own as the lady on the front seemed a little preoccupied. The fridge consistently froze all our food, regardless of the setting, which was frustrating. For the price, I was also surprised to find no toiletries provided, only wall-mounted dispensers, which didn't include essentials like shampoo and conditioner.

Nice and close to everything and you get a Lakeview from the room and spa bath was great in the room to. The motel cats are a great bonus, one of them slept on our bed aswell. Amazing if you're a cat lover and are missing you're babies.

Well presented unit with good size rooms. Loved that the toilet and shower room were separate, They kept good contact and ensured bedding arrangement was suited to our needs. Receptionist was welcoming and attentive - she remembered us asking about the spar and pool and knew when we called for pool towels, what we would require. On check out she remembered our reason for staying and made us feel welcome guests. Enjoyed the Spa and pool was warm enough to stay in for quite a while in Mid October. Parking was free and easy to use. A easy walk to town too.

Reception staff upon arrival till departure day were very polite and easy to interact with.. Service to accommodate me off my last minute needs, the staff went and beyond to helping me..Am so grateful and appreciated her help. We loved and enjoyed our stay.! Will definitely 💯 recommend this hotel to my friends and families. Bonus part, Taupo Medical Centre across the road if you need any medical attention, very short distance walk to town centre, and again, short distance walk to the lake front Thank you Lake Taupo Motor Inn.

We again enjoyed our stay at the motel. Our room was upstairs with our own spa. It was well set out and clean. The bed was slightly hard for us but is because we have just purchased a new bed. The room was spacious and quiet. The car park was full with numerous cars and lots of children there for the Taupo Rugby tournament which is why we were there. We used the tea making facilities but did not need the motel equipment for meals. The view over the lake was lovely and having a small table and chairs on the balcony.

There was not anything that we did not like.

Clean! Comfortable, Relaxing, beautiful and welcoming reception, meticulous & friendly cleaning staff, Clean! Booked 4 nights, first night our trash bin was faulty so we called after hours, prompt responce, we recieved an apology and assurance, bin replaced next morning, we left in a rush, away all day, returned to beds made fresh, topped up tea coffeee etc booked another night & room (room with lakeview) we loved our last night in this room. We visit Taupo often & stayed many places but first time at the Lake Taupo Motor Inn, tis now our go to when visiting Taupo, highly recommend

The rooms were very clean and comfortable with plenty of space and privacy for guests. The motel is close to town and shops which was great. I would recommend..

A bit of confusion with getting the room with 2 double beds I had booked. The man at reception was a bit rude and he made me feel I was making an issue when I simply wanted to be put in the room I had booked. Apart from this everything was of a high standard.

We stayed at many hotels during our tour of New Zealand. Lake Taupo Motor Inn stands out as the best of the best. Why? Because it ticks all the boxes - friendly staff (they let us check-in early - really appreciated this), a quick and stress-free check-in, huge rooms (with a patio!), fantastic location - town center and the lake both a short walk away. Can park right up to your room, makes things much easier with heavy suitcases, And great value for money. It deserves all the stars.

Would have been good to have had breakfast facilities on-site - then there are many good places to eat breakfast in the town

Always consistently excellent. Brilliant friendly staff. Modern, clean, tidy rooms, just as pictured online. Free on-site parking. Excellent location to town, easy flat walking. Spa, pool, and BBQ are available.

Our first night, we had a very disruptive group in the room next door, which was unfortunate. Absolutely no reflection on the quality of the accommodation or the staff. I'm sure they felt just as frustrated and disappointed
