I loved my own private courtyard garden. The suite looked contemporary and inviting. The fittings are of very good quality. It doesn't look cheap or dated and I was proud to invite a friend over. I am moderately fit. It was an easy 20-minute stroll to town in each direction, and to the lake-front.

My single bed was strangely on a slope. I'm a side-sleeper. One side felt uphill. The other side felt downhill and I used a spare pillow to chock myself up to a more level position. The next night I switched to the other single bed in the room. It was better but I had the same issue. I wonder if they are two singles that can be joined to make a queen bed and that somehow this undermined the bed structure. My toilet only flushed occasionally. It took several to many attempts each time. By the end of my stay I realised it would flush eventually but getting to that realisation was a bit worrisome!

At the BeachTree Motel by the lake so blue, We found a retreat both cozy and true. With an “open-plan bathroom” bold yet sweet, Perfect for couples—no need to retreat. Just down the road, “Master Indian”shines, With generous portions and rich designs. The mango lassi, a towering glass, But every dish was pure first-class. Our balcony view of the lake so wide, With kitchen and fridge neatly supplied. Cleaners each morning kept things bright, Making our stay feel fresh and light. We used the laundry, spotless and grand, And hit the driving range -clubs in hand. The “island target” was hard to claim, But oh, what fun in every game! The BeachTree Motel a perfect stay, We’d come back here any day.

The bed was the most comfortable we have slept in in a motel/hotel - and we have stayed loads of places! And the quality of the fittings was excellent. Nice to have a table and comfy chairs as well.

The location of the room unfortunately allowed for no privacy at all, with the sliding door leading directly out onto the driveway, and there were no sheer curtains to maintain privacy when curtains were open. The sliding doors to close of the bathroom from the bedroom didn't close properly so there was a direct view from the bed to the toilet - zero privacy! This is the only thing that would stop me staying at the property again. There need to be locks or something on those doors to maintain privacy. But these are really easy fixes for the property.

I loved all the different seating/gathering areas. We followed either sun or shelter when it got breezy with our wine and nibbles. Really impressed.

I booked from the photos on booking.com which showed a lovely patio with 2 chairs through the room’s French doors. The room we got didn’t have that. It did have a grassy area opposite but I particularly wanted the patio and assumed all the downstairs rooms would have that. Took us a little while to find those rooms but it was good to know they did actually exist.

The room was great, beds comfy and the spa bath lovely. Location was perfect for us - about 8 mins walk to the lakefront. Didn't walk into town but Te Heu Heu Street went straight into town and had a roundabout at the bottom to turn right onto the busiest street - always a bonus. Had a minor issue with someone putting a child lock on the microwave, and the gent came very quickly to sort it out.

The weather? Haha, not under their control. Very unpredictable but still managed to do some exciting stuff in the area. When the sun was out it was stunning.

Staying at Beechtree Motel was an absolute delight, primarily due to the unparalleled comfort of their beds. No matter how exhausted we were from our day's activities, the moment we sank into those beds, sleep came effortlessly. The mattresses seemed to cradle every contour of our bodies, providing the perfect balance of support and softness. Moreover, the rooms were impeccably clean, with a freshness that greeted us upon entry. The attention to detail in cleanliness extended beyond just the visible surfaces; every corner and nook exuded a sense of meticulous care. From the crisp linens to the spotless bathroom, every aspect of our room at Beechtree Motel contributed to a truly restful and enjoyable stay. We will surely be coming back to stay with you guys.

Nothing at all

The gentleman on reception was very friendly and helpful. The location is great. A 10 minute walk into town. There is a fantastic cafe, a takeaway and a supermarket over the road and a 5 minutes walk to the lake. There is parking with shade in a pretty outside area that has tables and chairs. The room was immaculate. It is a good size with everything you need. The bathroom is a good size with a lovely spa bath. It was very quiet and I had a great sleep on the comfortable bed.

Good sized room with all the amenities for a comfortable stay. The location was central and worked well for the purpose of our visit. The owner was quick to acknowledge the minor issues we pointed out and was able to resolve them.

The fact that housekeeping entered our room in our absence with the Do Not Disturb sign hanging on our door was not appreciated. Even though that was to sort out the issues we pointed out - we would have appreciated a heads up or a phone call to say they were accessing our room in our absence.

Location is fabulous, walking distance to almost everything, great 4 square, takeaways & Cafe across the street. Lake at the end of the street. The most comfortable bed ever and we had a lovely private courtyard to sit outside. Our 3rd stay here and we will be back.

The servicing of our room was a bit hit and miss. It was a busy time of the year so may have been a staff issue. Would not stop us staying again

The best part about staying here is the spa baths that look out into the bedroom. Always a highlight of our stay. Beds are super comfy and massive! the room is always well presented and the sachet and bottles of body wash smell delicious.

There were a few leaks dripping from the roof into the carpark creating puddles. There wasn’t a light switch for the outside lights to the balcony, so it was hard to get to sleep early. We saw a trash bag in an outside sitting area garden that appeared to have soiled toilet paper coming out of it. All the laundry bags loaded up by the door access to rooms was unpleasant to keep walking past. Didn’t experience these things on our first visit however.
