This was the only room of my trip that included a kettle which was a nice touch. It was also probably the nicest decor of the 4 places I stayed. Everything was in good working order and clean. And it might be a small thing, but I appreciated not having to hand-in and retrieve my key every time I went out.

The two big drawbacks of my stay were 1) the terrible WiFi (by far the worst of my trip), and 2) the flimsy drapes that didn't darken the room sufficiently at night.

The room is small but comfortable for one person. The temperature was comfortable even during the day. Light comes either from artificial lighting or from a single window in the shower room (which is not a big issue). The shower area is quite small and separated from the toilet by a folding plastic door (a "cheap and cheerful" design). The sink is located in the room, which is unusual, but it works fine. There is a hairdryer, a TV, and a large, comfortable bed. In the evenings, noise from outside can be bothersome as there are cafes or restaurants nearby. However, the noise usually subsides by midnight. The reception staff are polite and do what they can. Unfortunately, there is no laundry service available at the hotel.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is very conveniently close to the main train station (not the most beautiful part of Marseille though). The room was very clean and the bed was comfy. The internet worked well.

The door to my room (and also the neighbour's one) did not close easily; it had to be pulled very strongly and thus made noise. If people were getting in by night one was woken up by the door hit.

If you want a quick overnight stay 5 minutes from the station I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel. It's clean, quiet, friendly and safe. The beds are comfortable, the sheets and towels are good quality. It's also a reasonable 20 minute walk down to the Old Port.

Our room was tiny with no windows. The bathroom was really small with a sink outside in the room. The water from the shower flooded into the toilet area. But all this was a minor inconvenience. I would stay again, but only for a convenient overnight place near the station.

Basic room but very clean and comfortable. Walking distance to the port; good location, we walked everywhere. Allowed us to leave our bags at the hotel on the last day while we waited for our bus home. Always someone at reception which is great. Good value for money!

Small room but this is to be expected when staying in a dense city

down a quiet side street, a very short distance (uphill) from Gare St Charles and 15 minute gentle downhill walk to Vieux Port with numerous restaurants past shops and bars. safe and quiet inside, thin walls but we couldn’t hear anybody else and slept well. staff a little dour but perfectly helpful if speaking French.

rooms slightly on the small side, but recently refurbished and very clean. outlook onto enclosed courtyard unpleasant- this could be cleaned up every few months? had to hand keys in whenever we left hotel but ultimately this was a good security measure. limited breakfast offering but we went out for breakfast each morning which was fine.

Although the hotel was a 3*, it had great facilities and was very close to the metro station Saint Charles. The bedroom was clean with an ensuite bathroom! Breakfast was a real treat with a variety of foods to eat!

The location of the hotel wasn't great as the area looked very run down and there was a derelict building on the same road as the hotel!

The unlimited cups of coffee and the fresh croissants were worth the cost of the breakfast, but the croissants may be gone by the time late risers arrive. I also liked the fresh fruit and yoghurt.

Housekeeping staff could have been more attentive. They failed to refill shower gel and hand soap dispensers during our stay.

The location was excellent, just steps away from the main train station. The reception desk staff allowed us to stow our luggage till our check in time.

Its a basic hotel, but good value for money. The shower and toilet separation is not great so water spills over to the entire bathroom.
