Really nice hostel very close to train station. It was pretty close everywhere, you could even walk to the center (though that's like 30 mins by foot). The hostel is pretty luxurious for that type of acommodation, everything is very nice and clean. The pods create a feeling of your own room, they're very well thought through (there is light, a fan, shelves and pockets for things, it's tall enough to sit comfortably, and there is a built-in cushion in the headboard so you can sit there even more comfortably). There was AC in the room, kitchen was nice. Staff was very nice and helpful.

There was some small stuff (like communal bathrooms being only on one floor), but the main reason why I can't give full 10/10 was the water situation. I'm normally not picky and can drink tap water no problem, but it was impossible to get cold water anywhere in the building, it was always lukewarm at best, and combined with the not so great taste of Brisbane tap water - well it wasn't pleasant to drink. A filtered water station would make a huge difference.

Lylo was really clean, there was spaces for chill, a good kitchen, the rooms were comfortable with some privacy. Staff was friendly 👌

- The air conditioner is running all the day in the rooms (it feels very cold sometimes). It should only run the night because with 6 people the room warms up really fast. - Lack of sociability. Lylo has to find a solution for that, like organize welcome aperitifs at weekends for example. - Activities that are not carried out because of a lack of people (it’s damage because there is cool activities on the planning). Maybe make a list where people sign up for activities and encourage them to come along

This hostel is quite practical; the pods give you some level of privacy, the self check-in and check-out is handy, there are lockers in each room, and a bit of space to sit down. The mattress itself was quite comfortable, and it was clean and fresh upon arrival. The building is located close to the train station, the supermarket and some food options.

There are a few things that were affecting my sleep: - The doors are heavy and they self-close, without a slow down. This means the door banging noise from different rooms on the same level (and my own whenever someone would leave or come in) would be quite loud and disruptive. - The "fans" inside the pods do nothing other than create a bit of noise. We had aircon on, but if you do want to close your pod, you will get really warm due to a body heat trapped in. The fan will not help you in any way. - The human service was barely there. If they were, and I approached them, I felt like I was an inconvenience. Otherwise, they'd avoid any interaction. I called the number once to ask about the fans, and the person wasn't too interested to find any solution.

Check-in was quite easy through the automatic system. The pods are a great idea! It's so nice to have privacy and be able to separate yourself by closing the door if you wish - it didn't even feel like I was sharing with 5 other people. The pods contain two small shelves, a charging socket, some USB sockets, dimmable lights, and even an in-built fan. Towels were provided, as well as soap and body wash of the "thankyou." brand, which is good quality, so smelled really elegant. There are lockers in the room where you can store your belongings safely, as they can be locked using your key card, which is super convenient, and another great idea. The kitchen and the social areas on the rooftop are pleasant and comfortable. I really liked my stay here between the 6th and 12th October, so I returned for another four nights between the 14th and 18th. Would go back anytime if in Brisbane.

It would be good to have a laundry room, as it's a hassle having to take one's clothes to a public laundry facility. The lock of the unisex toilet on the 5th floor is funny and doesn't quite work, so it might be an idea to look into it. There is not a lot of room in the kitchen for storing food, so some creative solutions would be cool.

Staff were always friendly and helpful with check in and out, had charging facilities in the pods and gave towels/sheets, and everything was clean. Individual cupboards for luggage in room which gave a great amount of space. Also had additional luggage storage with staff for after check out too.

The internet struggled while I was there, it didn't impact too much as I was only there for 1 night. Individual cupboards for luggage was great in the rooms but it would have been nice if these were lockable individually (perhaps they are but I didn't quite work out how)

I like how well-designed the spaces were. The closed side of the pod is much more pleasant than an open bunkbed setup the addition of the bathroom in the room, The architectural first and third space were great and the staff were lovely.

The bin in the pod is underneath all of the towel hooks and no one wanted to hang the towel up there because it's sort of gross. I think of the Bin could be moved then people would have a place to put the towel but it was like the towels would be hanging on the ladder they would be hung on the bathroom they were being put on top of the cabinets they were on the balcony they were everywhere but the towel hooks

The location good. 3 minutes walk from Fortitude valley station. I left 5am for the airport . I share the bunk with 3 other females. The hotel is very clean as it opened less than 1month. Check in/out, locker.. all via an electronic card. There are burgers, Japanese, Vietnamese restaurants all around, chinatown too. I also walked to James Street for shopping and cafe chilling.

I wish the mattress is thicker than the sides of the cubicle I got scratched on my leg upon going into the bunk. So be careful Maybe a basket for used towels will be good. I do not know where to place my towel upon checking out

The room and bathroom are super clean. Kitchen and hangout spaces are loving places to feel the chill vibe. Fortitude Valley is a good place for young folks to hang out. There are some nice pubs around.

The temperature of an air conditioner is too low for me. Plus, the music played at Miss Lucy's Kitchen is too loud. Third, although the wooden room key is environmentally friendly, it would be better to have a protective cover. I was pricked by a wooden stab on the key.

Lylo is located very close to the train station, less than 5 minutes walk. Also very close to the shopping area. The Room is excellent and well-designed for comfort and security. The electrical outlets by each bed, and fan, the walls and door to each room and the locked lockers provided comfort and security for self and belongings. I loved the kitchen and all the provisions.

There wasn't enough soap/shampoo in the shower for everyone but I did not ask since I had brought some with me. Everything else was excellent!

So much to like... The kitchen is clean and a great space to cook, pods give you privacy when you sleep. The guests and staff are friendly. They have events like Yoga, movies etc. I enjoyed the poker night. I would recommend it for someone travelling to Brisbane. Fortitude Valley is also an interesting location.

I paid over $500 per week... Price goes up when there are events in town. Still, it was worth it.
