My dad and I stayed at Hotel Verdandi Oslo for three nights in mid-January, and the experience was truly memorable. Despite an issue with room heating upon our arrival, the calm and accommodating staff, led by Irmi, swiftly resolved the matter by relocating us to another room down the hall. The hotel is ideally situated in Oslo’s urban core, surrounded by romantic snowfall during winter. Its location is unbeatable—just around the corner from the Oslo City Hall and within walking distance of major venues and attractions. One of the highlights of our stay was the enchanting sound of the carillon bells chiming, especially at night. The breakfast was marvellous, served in a spacious, well-lit, and beautifully decorated restaurant on the ground floor. Hotel Verdandi Oslo offers an ideal choice for couples and travellers seeking comfort, convenience, and exceptional service.

I originally made a booking from 16 to 18. Then on the 17 my boyfriend (2nd guest) asked to book another night, so 18 to 19. But something happened wrong they made it for 17 to 18, which was already payed for through booking.com app. So on the 18 we had 3 people comming to knock on our door for check out. We explained situation. Showed the payment and the original booking. We even said we only booked that extra night for the purpose of not checking out at 11:00 but we were going to leave at 16:00, so we werent even going to use the full extra night we paid for. They accepted. At 16:00 another person came to knock on our door for check out. We found this distasteful given that we did pay for another night so if we wanted we couldve stayed untill the next day.

The location is flawless - less than 150 feet from the harbor area for ferries and restaurants. This makes the Verdandi a perfect choice if you want to bi in the middle of things. The hotel is clean and the room was well-maintained.

There is no real on-site staff, so getting extra towels or toilet paper was difficult if you don't catch someone while they're cleaning rooms. We had no tepot in the room, although I think one was advertised, and a guy from the restaurant downstairs rustled one up, although no cups or utensils. We had to go buy our own mugs and coffee stuff to have it in the room. Also, while the windows were awesome, letting in lots of light and air, there is a bar right across the street that caters to college students. It is open until 3am with music and laughter bouncing off the walls and out the doors. Even with the windows closed we could hear the "thump thump" of the DJ all night long.

Very clean, comfortable and cousy (altough rooms are small). Very close to the town center.

Rooms are very small. The staff at the reception were very unprofessional. I am working for almost a decade in hospitality industry and not knowing terms of booking is unacceptable. On booking.com our room is described with breakfast included, that is one of the reason why I purchased it. When we arrived at the breakfast, we were met with receptionist telling us we didn’t pay for breakfast. Even after seeing my booking confirmation that clearly confirms my claims, she insisted on her point being unprofessional and even calling me rude for asking her for explanation. I believe that this hotel doesn’t need false advertising tactics, it’s just a breakfast, please state the price without any confusion. And educate and train your staff.

Everything was perfect, reception and bar staff were so welcoming and helpful. There was 1 female and I think 3 other males over the over all stay. Definitely represented the hotel well 👍 Location is perfect, so central!!!!! Convenient to everything by foot. The bar is a nice place to relax.

The only negative but was manageable was the size of the rooms 😳 but this is something that comes with being so central in the city. Just wake up earlier and take turns getting ready 😉 I would stay again here for definite!!!! The space in the bar was great this was perfect for meeting with friends.

Location is great! Real coty center close to everything walking distance!

I would prefer a daily rom cleaning service with new sheets and towels was not explained in the process of booking

Hotel Verdandi boasts the perfect location, situated right in the city center and conveniently close to the train station—ideal for exploring the area or catching connections. The breakfast was enjoyable, offering a good start to the day. The bed was functional but not particularly comfortable, which may affect your rest if you're a light sleeper. On the positive side, the automated check-in system worked flawlessly, making arrival hassle-free. Overall, while there are areas for improvement, the hotel's location and convenience make it a good option for short stays.

However, the room service could use improvement; it would be appreciated if the rooms were cleaned at least every second day, or at least the trash should be removed. Unfortunately, the check-out process presented challenges (the device did not work). This can be especially problematic if you require an early departure.

Loved the cleanliness and the finish in the bathroom. Was very modern and the shower was incredible. Also probably the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in :)

While super convenient, having no visible staff at all did detract from the experience somewhat. Also seemed like the bar beneath wasn’t particularly secure. Seemed like a lot of ‘non-guests’ used it and given its attached to the hotel with no staff/reception, that maybe this wasn’t as secure as it should have been

Great location, exceedingly clean and good facilities. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as we like to go out and explore and find local bakeries but, the buffet did look good. There is a bar/lounge on site which also looked great. The hotel was very close to the train station (National Theatre) and tram lines. When we were there, the Christmas markets were a 1 minute walk away and, the the waterfront was 1 minute in the opposite direction. It felt like we had everything on our doorstep. Check in was electronic, so we didn't really interact with any staff.

The room could have been a little warmer but there was a separate heater in there

This hotel is located very close to the central Oslo area and next to Aker Brygge. It was walking distance to several great restaurants and tram stations to take you elsewhere around the city. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The management and staff were available and friendly throughout the entire stay. The lounge downstairs was also very convenient for coffee, drinks, and water at any hour. I would definitely return to this hotel if I was in town again. It was well worth the price of the stay.
