My daughter and I had the privilege of staying at Antico Dimora for five nights. We consider it a privilege because it is such an amazing place, filled with the authentic history of the palace and its period and yet, married to all the modern amenities and comforts of modern living. Cristina took great care and love in restoring her ancestral home and one cannot but feel welcomed and at home in this enchanted place. We thank her and her amazing team for their hospitality, their great attention to every detail and their warmth. I cannot close without also complementing their onsite restaurant. It is lovely and the food and wine selections were excellent.

There truly was not anything the we did not like.

Breakfast was very good. The location was great. However I am an 80 year old lady and my room was on the third floor with no elevator. Also, the room I was given had a bed on a second elevated level in the suite with the bathroom on the first level. This is impossible to navigate. The owner gave me another room, but only for two nights. I had paid for three nights. The room she gave me was only available for those two. I had to leave the hotel and check into another hotel. I would hope to be reimbursed for the lost night since it was the fault of the owner.

The suite that we had on the fourth floor was just beautiful and very high end and comfortable! The staff including the owner Christina were all wonderful and very friendly as well as helpful!

There is no elevator so we had to walk up four flights to our room numerous times a day! No ice available on the floors so you again have to walk up and down stairs to request anything that you need! Also no phones in the rooms or anywhere in the hotel to contact staff or anyone else that you may need to call! Hot breakfast choices were quite limited BUT there were was always freshly made that day delicious cakes, cookies and muffins to enjoy!

Extremely spacious, elegant room. Super clean. Was nice to relax at night with a bit of Netflix (didn't realise it was available - a nice surprise). The staff were all so cheery and helpful, (Anna booked us an early morning taxie to the airport). Breakfast was excellent, I loved the quirky china plates! Don't think twice - book this place!

Nothing! The only things to mention are positives they don't really emphasise , such as location - an easy walk down from the train station ( we took a taxi unnecessarily). Yes, there are steep stairs, but if you ate as much tiramisu as me, they help compensate.

Everything. I have stayed in luxury hotels all over the world and in my humble opinion, this is one of the finest. The attention to detail is exceptional, investment has been substantial, and the welcome and service is authentic as is possible to find. We will return without any doubt. The bed linen is finest quality, guest amenities are high end. Breakfast was just lovely, in such a nice setting. This was a fleeting visit, next time will be a much longer weekend. I hadn’t appreciated that Desenzano was such a lovely place. Overall, this beautiful 5 bedroom luxury boutique hotel is highly recommended

Yes, it is a historic building without an elevator, but seriously, anyone trying to install one would be mad, it would totally destroy the character of the building. The staircase is beautiful in itself, take it easy and enjoy the artifacts along the way. There wasn’t a single thing I didn’t adore about this hotel.

Beautiful room with wonderfully luxurious fixtures and furnishings. Location in the very centre of town could not have been better -literally 3 minutes from everything. Fabulous breakfasts and wonderful service from Anna and Christina. Just perfect!

At 78 and 70, the stairs were a little daunting - a lift would obviously have helped but as we were staying in a small but luxurious boutique property, we were happy to make the climb.

Great design details, very comfortable bed, great location right in town next to a bunch of restaurants, delicious breakfast (not included in stay but the omelette was AMAZING and other pastries were also delicious

Location is difficult for those not renting a car and wanting to rely on the train. Taxis do not answer your call and you will end up sprinting up the hill with your things if you don’t plan accordingly! Plan to walk or have transportation set up to the train station or next location. Car rentals would be much easier

The rooms look absolutely fantastic. It feels like we were in a castle. The hotel is also greatly located at the very center of Desenzano del garda. Finally, the owner Christina as well as Anna are very helpful and very sweet. My wife and I were on our honey moon and they offered us an aperitivo, that is very sweet and in accordance with their great kindness. The care of the owner for her hotel is very visible, by taking care of the furnitures and by the fact that they invited a duo to play jazz during diner. I believe the hotel is worth the price.

Small con, even if the breakfast is quite high level, I believe most visitors would appreciate to have more choice on sight.

Location. Walk out of the door onto plaza walked down the path your at the bus stop and ferry port. The room was exactly how I imagined lovely details felt authentically Italian.

No coffee machine for the cost of the room would be a bit of luxury. It felt missing a few touches to be a perfect stay. Having the breakfast 3 tier stand could have been optional we were given it each of the three mornings but didn’t touch the items and it felt the hotel could save itself making them up to potentially waste food. I found one day we only ate one croissant off it and all rest of the buns and cakes we didn’t eat.

I booked this incredible place for a vacation with my girlfriend and our kitten, and it went above and beyond our expectations. It's hard to put into words just how wonderful our experience was. From the gracious owner to the attentive housekeeping staff, everyone made us feel truly special. The place was immaculate, and they even went the extra mile by providing our cat with his own bed, food and water bowls, a special litter box, and a small gift. Both the breakfast and dinner were delicious. Highly recommend!
