We arrived at around 1.30pm to the hotel, the lady at reception was amazing and let us know that if we wait another 30 mins we could have early check in , or we can simply store our luggage and come back at 3pm. Unfortunately i didn't catch her name but she made us feel so welcome and special , even recommended us some restaurants and places to go ,gave us all the information we needed and was ever so friendly yet professional . The room was wonderful , bathroom was excellent and well equipped with towels, shower and hair wash , basically anything you need (plus a hair dryer). The bed was very large and comfortable , honestly nothing to fault . Sadly the TV wasn't a smart TV however we managed to connect the phone to Bluetooth and that's all we needed , only fault is no mini fridge but come on now , for the price and location the place was amazing without it . Definitely would return

I recently had an exceptional stay at this hotel, where the staff truly excelled. I left a note with a special request, and they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, particularly Sam at reception, who made my daughter feel incredibly special. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and boasts an ideal location in the heart of Manchester, close to all amenities. The staff provided excellent recommendations for local attractions and activities, enhancing our visit. With the tram right at our doorstep and fantastic restaurants nearby, I will definitely choose this hotel for all future visits to Manchester 🐝

Everything about our stay was excellent. This is a well run hotel. The staff were very accommodating and the rooms were extremely comfortable. The lobby area was also extremely comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed our entire stay and will definitely go again. Its very central, short walk to both trams and trains as well as shops and restaurants.

I have nothing to add here. Just on the questions above: Did the price you paid match the expectations you had when you booked? I said No, because I hadn't expected it to be as nice for that price. Ive paid a hell of a lot more elsewhere for a terrible experience.

The closeness to the city centre and transport accessibility. Once in hotel, provided with room card; check in booking was easy. The room was clean, essentials like hairdryer and towels were provided. The bed itself was comfortable to sleep in, durable mattress with clean sheets. Entertainment like television in room is provided. The chosen floor, second floor, front facing room for a Queen size is decent for solo and couple travellers. Heating can altered using a digital thermostat. Provided with balcony with safety door adjustment (as it’s high rise build). Staff are polite when support is needed.

I wish the room provided a chiller for drinks as cold drinks like orange juice, when open needs to stay refrigerated (I don’t necessarily expect a drinking service). Not a criticism: but next time I will engage with the bar and dining area that the hotel provides [Only stayed for two nights].

Room is elegant, spacious, quiet, well equipped, and cosy. A good night's sleep is guaranteed. Powerful shower and toiletries available in the bathroom. Great location for city amenities. Near to Oxford Road train station and trams at St Peters Square at the front of the hotel. Staff welcoming and friendly. Lovely, relaxing bar and restaurant area, with great views of the city, and decent prices for drinks and food. Decor and seating areas are beautiful. Plenty of lifts, so no need to wait to get to your floor. WIFI free. Always a pleasure to stay at Motel One. Late checkout at 12pm too.

Would be good to have glasses as well as the plastic cups in the room, and smart tv.

Lovely, friendly staff, and the bed was SO comfy! The room was really clean, had everything you would need, and was really quiet (we stayed on a Saturday night). There was security in the evening which put me at ease, and check in/out was smooth.

I think it could be cheaper. I have stayed here a number of times and the prices have rose dramatically since I first stayed. I have stayed at various Motel One hotels for Warehouse Projects over a couple of years (this being peak times and on weekends) and would never pay more than £100/night. This time it was 75% more compared to a couple years ago. I know prices have risen within all industries, but this seems extreme - however, this is a normal price for a hotel in Manchester, so not a mark down as such to Motel One, just disappointing that the industry is having a bit of a laugh with people, but then again, I still paid it 😂 It was for a special occasion but I couldn’t warrant the price point otherwise, as nice as the hotel is

Loved the comfy bed, helpful staff and the breakfast was only a continental but very good. The bar area is bigger than it looks from reception take a look yourself

I would of liked a cooked breakfast but I also understand this then leaves room for error and extra staffing etc which would have dampened the experience if it was wrong..... so I do not think they should change this. If you want a hot breakfast go eat out ... your in manchester after all - otherwise not much of a view from the window but a great base. This being said I wasn't too interested in looking outside was too busy getting ready or sleeping . You can head to cloud 23 or 20 stories for a great view of the city if a view is what you want

Staff were super friendly and helpful. You could tell they got on well with each other too which was nice. The bed was so comfy, had a great night's sleep. Couldn't hear any noise from outside despite being right in the city centre. Everywhere was spotless. Facilities really good. Excellent attention to detail. Breakfast is beautiful. Its continental. So much selection from cereals, fruit, cheeses, meats, yoghurt, pastries, eggs, breads, etc Location is perfect too with tram stop right outside the hotel so quick access to all surrounding areas including ao arena and coop live if going to a concert which we did. Would stay here again without hesitation when visiting manchester in the future.

Rooms are slightly smaller than I’m used to, but there was ample room for two tall adults! King size bed was comfortable and bathroom was nice. Check in was swift and friendly and the location was within walking distance of most places we needed to be! Budget hotel, but nicer than some 4 star hotels we’ve stayed at. We didn’t have breakfast there, but there’s plenty of breakfast spots nearby.

A couple more hangers would have been good. An extractor fan in the bathroom to help with steam. An iron and board in the room would have been better. Perhaps some complimentary bottles of water. Bit of noise from other rooms in the middle of the night, but it was Saturday night, so to be expected.
