Firstly the staff were wonderful the room was clean, charming & comfortable & the location is handy close to everything & this place has great potential tobe something special if renovated.

The room wasn't as nice as in the photos & was not the room I thought I had booked, I booked this room based on the photos but that's minor, It was more dated than expected, although the furnishings were newish. I didn't like that we had to pay to use the washing machine & dryer & that the dryer time is set short, so you would have to pay for another cycle to get your clothes dry. I just want to state that this option only comes after our stay at a different Asure motel, were the laundry facilities were free & it was less dated & I probably expecting it to be at the same standard, which did not match up in this case. In say all this it was still a nice comfortable place to stay.

The staff were very helpful. We were hiking a couple of the great walks and had gear delivered. The staff put it in our room when it arrived, which was very nice of them. They also kept our luggage while we were on the hike. The room is a nice large size. There was a pay washing machine available in the motel. It was close to walk to the CBD for meals, shopping, groceries. There was a well set up kitchen in the room.

We were on the main floor and could hear the guests above us using the toilet. Also the carpet could use a good cleaning.

We loved our stay, the room was very spacious, the kitchen well equipped and the shower is great! Everything was perfectly clean and the garden is beautiful. Easy communication, they replied my messages on Booking.com in a timely manner, and were so nice to attend my request to provide a baby's high chair, as we have a little one travelling with us, which put our mind at ease that he would have a proper and safe place to eat. We really appreciate that! Easy check-in and check-out, close to the lake and just a stroll to the eateries. I'd definitely recommend it to all my friends going to Te Anau 😍

The place was clean, organised, relatively modern compared to other motels I’ve been to. You can tell they have a good team working there who genuinely want to provide a decent place to stay. I booked it due to the cleanliness rating and I wasn’t disappointed. The heated beds were also a great addition, plenty of towels etc, 2 per person of towels and face washers, milk and a kitchenette with everything you need to make yourself dinner, more than just a kettle, toaster and microwave.

Nothing comes to mind, for what we paid I believe we had such a great time.

Staff was very helpful, gave us good tips for traveling in the area (to Milford Sound). Room is spacious, the ktichen well stocked; the stove top is a portable one but very effective. However there is no dishwasher. The windows open nicely front and back, therefore nice fresh air! There is a BBQ in the garden which we used very effectively. We stayed here 3 nights to explore the area. The glowworm cave (RealNZ) is a better experience than Waitomo caves in the (North Island). The guides are all young, energetic, and the price includes a ride on a boat across the lake (takes 25 minutes), and a presentation (with video) about the details of the physiology of the glow worms. A drive to Milford Sound takes about 2 hours of pure drive time, so if you include stop over for some nice sights, e.g. Mirror lake, budget 3 hours to arrive in time for a booking of a cruise.

Everything was good, no complaints really.

We stayed here twice for two nights each. First room was a King on the upper floor - very spacious, clean, comfortable and bed was fabulous. New clean and functional bathroom and a great shower. Had a lovely stay! Our second room a few days later was a Queen on the ground floor, it was an original/older style room set up for wheelchair access so with a big open ‘wet room’ shower. Room was small, kitchenette very small and bathroom old and grotty. Again, a nice comfortable bed. Room was small and dark however and would not wanted to have stayed any longer in this particular room. The owners were fabulous however, and very helpful, so would definitely stay again but request an upstairs room next time.

Very helpful and friendly owner and staff. Located within walking distance to shops, cafes, restaurants, supermarket, waterfront etc. Quiet location. Spacious, clean, comfortable room and well equiped.

The shower in my room was no better than a hosepipe at first BUT once the owners were aware of the issue they attended to it straight away and were also very kind to me for the inconvenience. It's always best to speak to owners directly and NOT put stuff on public pages first. So many are struggling still to maintain a profitable business, be kind and thoughtful, if they don't know about something, they don't know. Give them a chance to rectify any issues you may have before making it a public announcement. These guys did exactly that and all kudos to them.

We checked in late. The owner was super friendly. The heater was already turned on when we stepped into the room. It was cosy and nice to be out of the cold. We were surprised by the size of the room. Could easily hold up to 6 pax though there were only 4 of us. Location is central. Along the way to Milford Sound.

The taps. One hot tap and one cold tap. They are separated. So in cold winter night, u will either have to wash your hands under freezingly cold water or get your hands scalded by the hot water.

Friendly and accommodating staff - allowed us to leave our luggages to join a tour and come back in the afternoon for it after. Fairly close to town centre. Room was immaculate and spacious. Situated in a quiet street so you can get a good rest - outdoor patio faces a good greenery view so it is relaxing. The bathroom is clean and looks new. Complimentary tea/coffee (plus milk) was well appreciated. You’re getting your money’s worth staying here - at least in my experience, it feels that way.

None! Would definitely stay here again in the future when we get the chance to.

We liked staying here for 3 days - the new owners have been working towards updating everything - the bathroom was new and functional - the rest of the room was comfortable too. We had issues connecting with wifi (they only had it upgraded a week before) and the owner went above and beyond to get us online which was appreciated

Parking was a bit of a squeeze with some patrons being a bit stupid in their parking endeavours - and would park anywhere (not outside their room but ours) which was annoying - but in no way is this the Hotels fault
