I liked the location. it is not as busy compared to the downtown area but is still close enough that you can walk to the touristy area. the staff were friendly, nice and accomodating.
the bathroom is a little too small for my liking. also, the place is located beside a restaurant. sometimes you can smell the smoke from the inside of the room.

1) Host sent me video instructions how to open building's door and apartment. Our checkin was after midnight, so it was very helpful! 2) There was a small booklet on the table with rules and tips (how to use electronic in the kitchen, air condition, where nearest markets/pharmacy, etc.). I rarely see hosts making helpful guidelines for travellers, it's impressive. 3) There were coffee capsules, washing powder and bathroom cosmetics. Thanks for that! 4) Washing machine has a dry function! 5) Location is good. 10-15 minutes for train stations Santos and Cais do Sodré (Cascais destination) 6) Air condition in the apartment. July in Lisbon is very hot!
1) Bed doesn't have headboard. It's a little bit uncomfortable. 2) Only 3 hangers in the closet. 3) Drying machine interface and instruction in the booklet are different. It's not even a minus because the booklet is very helpful – thanks again! It was my first time when I used drying machine so it took a time (and google as well) to find out how it works 😬

The apartment was modern, clean and spacious. Our hosts were very gracious and let us leave our luggage in the office and freshen up as we had arrived really early that morning from our home country.
I was a little disappointed that our apartment's living area didn't face the Parliament buildings. We had a view from one of the bedrooms but it would have been nice to face that way from the living area, particularly considering the price tag for the accommodation. Perhaps that should be made clear on the description on the booking form. I also would have expected a fourth chair in the living room. We are a family of 4 and there were only three comfortable armchairs in the living room so the fourth person had to sit on the hard dining room chair. There's enough space to add another armchair for families of four.

Great rooms, very clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Staff were amazing! Very responsive, kind and full of information on the city. Location is good, near some great restaurants and you can literally take a bus or tram from outside the door to get to almost anywhere in the city.
Nothing, all was great.

Hosts went out of their way to make the stay comfortable; Bed very comfortable; Rooms were very spacious and lots of natural light; Good kitchen with all cooking utensils, oven, microwave, induction hob large fridge freezer - very pleased with kitchen even though the coffee machine did flood once; The whole property is very clean; The property is secure with the main gate and the room door code locked; pre-registration was good; However, I had paid via Booking.com but the hotel pre-registration still asked for entering a card detail to guarantee the booking when it was already paid - minor issue and easily clarified; The hotel reception is available on WhatsAppp messaging communication (or a phone) from 8 am to 10 pm; Very good and secure luggage store; I had left my tourist guide book in a nearby coffee shop (Copenhagen Coffee Club) and Anna went there personally to get it from me whilst I was enjoying the sights of Belem Tower - little thing but shows the care they take of their guest. I am very pleased and I would stay here for my next visit to Lisbon. The place is on a main road so the taxi stops at the main gate and then elevator (lift) to your room - avoids the Alfama issues of having to take your luggage uphill or steps.
The location is not exactly central. For us this was ok as it meant that we could stroll to the nearest Metro or rail station enjoying this part of the city and the walk was about 20 min. There are also bus stops right outside the apartment. And then Uber or Bolt is priced very reasonably in Lisbon, a ride into the centre of Lisbon is less than 5 Euros and it becomes cheaper than bus ride when there is more than 1 person in the taxi. The upside of the locality is the restaurant which is 5 min walk - Pau de Canela, by a nice garden.

The apartment had everything that you would want, spacious and clean. Lovely location, great Italian restaurant down the road, supermarket close by and Tram 28 just down the road that takes you around town, better than the hop on hop off bus. Communication is excellent and friendly, met us at the door, and allowed really early check-in. Would highly recommend. Thank you. 🤗
All excellent.

Staff is very friendly and helpful . They really try to support us in every aspect. Christina ,Fernando helped us a lot to find out restaurants ,attractions, places to discover, tips about the city and answered all of our queries with patience and smiling face. They are really amazing. Location of the hotel is also great next to parliament building in Sao Bento. They are very nice cafes, restaurants and gelato shops nearby. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and with modern /new household equipment .Though we did not use them much apart from washing machine, they are all available. Overall we spent great time in the hotel.
Nothing much but can have few recommendations. For long term guests, they must offer more cleaning services , once a week is not enough for sure. In the room we stayed there was no shower cabin so the floor become wet most of the time after getting shower. It would be great also to put hanger for laundry as there is no place to hang them for drying.

We loved that the front desk staff let us in and shared the necessary codes to enter the building and our apartment. They were always available at the front desk and text for any questions we had. The apartment are expertly designed for efficiency and we had everything we needed, including a washer dryer. The neighborhood was great-excellent restaurant options. Don't miss the lovely park(jardim Fialho de Almeida) that is 5 min away and Nannarella's Gelato which is on the way to the garden.
We did not have a view, but the apartment facing behind was wonderfully quiet.

The room was newly renovated, very comfy, a lot of appliances that are usually not found in hotels, like Kettle and Microwave, which was very handy. Room service was also available for when you are too tired after the flight to eat out. So best of both words from hotels vs airbnbs. Didn't experience any issues with hot water or noise described in some other reviews. The area is relatively quiet, was able to sleep with window open.
Few minor gripes. Check in process was a bit unclear. I was not immediately greeted and they didn't respond to the messages. Although to be fair I arrived a bit earlier than the listed check in hours. Eventually I knocked on the door and there was someone to let me in. I feel like there should be a better way to do this. Something to be aware of after a long flight. Air conditioner stopped working in the bedroom on day one. Luckily, the weather was cold enough that opened window was enough too cool the room during the night.

Rua de Sao Bento (202) apartment was a very good place to spend a week. The location is not in the centre of everything (though opposite the impressive parliament building) but on the edge of the picturesque and characterful Bairro Alto area. Buses stop outside and the walk to the nearest subway station is not too bad even for an almost elderly couple! Good supermarket 5 mins walk away. The apartment itself had everything and more you'd need for a week. Very modern and tidy refurbishment including lift and night time security. The shower was good but more space for toiletries in the bathroom would be useful. Excellent quality TV with tons of English-speaking channels. All in all, well done Les Deux Mariettes and thanks for a fine stay.
I think, only the size of the bathroom in this studio apartment is worth worrying about, but it was perfectly adequate.
