The hotel is located in a quiet part of the city, only a short (and very cheap) uber ride into the busy city. There are great local cafes and bakeries only minutes walk from the hotel. The interiors of the rooms have been tastefully selected and the rooms were kept immaculately clean. The rooms are spacious and the penthouse was a very comfortable space for a family of 5 inclusive of a kitchen, balcony and a washing machine. Breakfast is served from a cafe only 3 doors down from the hotel or you can opt to have it delivered to your room. The breakfast menu options are plentiful. The staff were happy to help (especially Nicole, Pedro & Louie). There is a concierge available at the front desk 24/7. Entry to the hotel (after dark) is secure with entry via your room key only. The location is safe, however don't leave your bags unattended anywhere as pickpockets and thieves will be tempted regardless of where you stay. The Verse Hotel was our favourite apartment/hotel in Europe. We would definitely recommend!

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the hotel’s impeccable condition. The facilities were exceptionally well-maintained, and every corner reflected a genuine commitment to quality. The staff could not have been more welcoming—friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. Our room was spacious, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. The location is truly ideal—perfectly situated to enjoy the best of the area while still offering peace and quiet. Breakfast was a highlight of our stay. We loved the option of having it served in-room for a cozy start to the day, as well as enjoying a delicious bite at the neighboring restaurant, Hello Kristof, which were absolutely delicious. Overall, this was a perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and great taste—we can’t wait to return!

If we had to note one opportunity for improvement, it would be that our particular style of room had a bathtub-only design without a walk-in shower option. Near the end of our trip, I was informed that some room styles do include a walk-in shower, which is great to know for future stays. Overall, a wonderful stay that we would gladly repeat!

We recently stayed at The Verse and were thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. The apartments themselves are beautifully designed – spacious, incredibly comfortable, and filled with thoughtful, stylish touches that truly make you feel at home. The attention to detail in the furniture and decor is outstanding, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The property as a whole is stunning, with a friendly and attentive staff that made us feel genuinely welcome. We were traveling with our dog, and it was a lovely surprise to find that they had prepared a little welcome kit for him as well – a thoughtful touch that shows they care about all their guests!

One thing to note about breakfast – it’s served at the nearby Hello Kristoff, a fantastic choice. The food is excellent, the brunch options are particularly impressive, and the overall value for money is hard to beat. I’d highly recommend walking over for breakfast, as it adds to the experience. On the other hand, the in-room breakfast delivery option, while convenient, didn’t quite live up to the same standard. The selection was very weak, especially when compared to the quality and vibe of Hello Kristoff. Unless The Verse makes some improvements to their in-house breakfast offering, I’d suggest skipping the room delivery and enjoying the full experience at the café instead.

The hotel exceeded all expectations. The staff were super friendly and always smiling. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The location was incredible, right in the middle of the city, and the room was very nicely decorated and fully equipped.

Everything was an absolute gem. The only thing I can comment on was the breakfast at the neighboring cafe Hello Kristof. While it was good, it can get quite repetitive because the menu is very limited, especially the eggs. You can only order them with hollandaise sauce, anything else, you would need to pay.

Bright new, well kept, fantastic location in front of historic 28E. Excellent staff, always available for support and help - going the extra mile. Specific thanks to Luis for his availability! The apartments towards the courtyard are extremely quiet, not facing the bustling of the street. Breakfast in the room was good, thanks to the fully equipped kitchen - we were also able to adapt our request depending on what we liked the most thanks to the digital concierge. We will be back!

Everything was excellent. The room was very clean, very comfortable and well appointed with all things we needed for a family of 4. It is beautifully decorated and the staff were helpful and friendly. The daily breakfast was generous and was more food than we could eat in one sitting. The cocktail bar was fun and made excellent cocktails. We would recommend The Verse without hesitation.

We had a fantastic stay at The Verse. The apartment was superb—beautifully decorated with high-quality finishes and equipped with every amenity you could need. Its location in the heart of Lisbon couldn’t have been better, with charming cafés and great restaurants just a short walk away. The staff were incredibly attentive and always ready to help with anything we needed. I would highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful hotel with some lovely design touches throughout. Really great location with some cool cafe’s and bars around. Felt very welcomed and also had a great chat with the bartender over some lovely cocktails. He was a real character and shared some cool stories about the cocktails he creates. The staff also recommended a Fado show for us to see which turned out to be really great.

Fantastic central (but not too central) location - in a lovely area just West of the main centre. All staff were incredibly friendly, and obviously proud of the new hotel they were a part of creating. Great cocktails in the lobby bar.

Bathroom needs a walk-in / stand-up shower - but the bathtub was very luxurious.

Really loved the Victorian-style building and the cozy lounge bar with signature cocktails. Our room was spotless—props to housekeeping! The neighborhood has a nice, traditional feel with lots of services nearby. Although it can get a bit busy, the soundproof windows kept things quiet. Having breakfast delivered to our apartment was a great touch. The staff gave us awesome tips for exploring the city. 10/10, will definitely be back!
