From our first website interaction to our final farewell on departure the level of communication with the hotel team was exceptional and a welcome change form other places we have stayed at. We arrived slightly earlier than predicted - this in the main was due to how easy and efficient, not to mention value for money, the Lisbon Metro is. The welcome we got from the reception team was very friendly, easy going and efficient. In fact every meeting with a member of the hotel team was a pleasure, from the lovely lady ensuring breakfast ran smoothly to all the team we met on reception at several points during the day. A special mention to the young lady who went out of her way to help us on the last day when our BA flights was cancelled and the BA App was less than efficient. A great hotel team, especially in a smaller hotel, is really important and this young team were exceptional. Also a special mention to the lovely Flavia. The hotel for us was ideally situated 10 mins walk from Baxia-Chiada Metro station, in an area with some great local restaurants and bars, being only 5 mins from the river front. The iconic 28 Tram runs 30 metres from the hotel door. The hotel was fully booked, 19 odd rooms, yet you hardly heard a sound from anywhere, so the sleep quality was superb. The charming courtyard, bijou swimming pool and library room were great areas to relax around and the breakfast buffet options were great and we wanted for nothing. All in all, this hotel was a great find and elevated our stay in Lisbon to another level

The location was great and easy to find from Baixa-Chiado station when travelling from the airport. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and bars, including 'Green St'. Pleasant 15 mins walk to main square. Room lovely, bed extremely comfortable,, good quality bedding and towels. Friendly professional service, breakfast was amazing. Nice to come back to each day, a little friendly and 'charming' refuge. Special thanks to Raphael, kind and genuine.

Although tea and coffee were available downstairs we thought that these facilities should be available in the bedroom which was surprising. The rooms have been carefully considered however a small chair or stool would be useful for clothes.

The highlight of our stay was the staff. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The location was very convenient. The breakfast room, living room and courtyard were all lovely places to sit and it was a nice place to return to after a busy day. Breakfast was excellent with a variety of options.

The building is old so it has very creaky floors. This made it difficult to sleep when people above us were up late into the night. If you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs. There were very few outlets and only 1 near the bed. Storage space was limited so with 2 people you had to live out of your suitcase.

I highly recommend this amazing place I love the entire place but for those with mobility issues like all of Lisbon it’s on a steep hill.the staff was super sweet with helping us with our bags . And it’s on the middle of the street(alleyway) it’s very safe ) to the right next to the house with the potted plants . Taxis come up to the hotel door. Very easy. Breakfast was amazing . Realy loved our stay! We arrived very early due our night flight. We could not go to our room yet. But they let us enjoy the breakfast for free that day, and contacted us on whatsapp when the room was ready. Breakfast was perfect! The people that worked there where super kind! Room was beautiful with lovely Rituals products! Room was a little small, but for a couple of day’s it does not matter when you only need the room to sleep and shower. Maybe only missed some extra place to hang like jacket. So not only a closet. And maybe a little fridge. Hope to be back some day when it’s hot enough to use the swiming pool! ;-)

Maybe place some names from the food at the breakfast. So people can see what’s in there and maybe some allergies. Like juice of the day, not only name it like that but also tell us what’s in it? :-) ofcourse you can ask, but not everyone likes to ask everything.

This gorgeous little gem was a home from home. Perfect location near enough to the main sights but not in the middle of it so lovely and peaceful when you just needed to chill. Lots of excellent independent restaurants, bars and shops all within walking distance as well as easy access to transport and sights, and as a bonus the 28 tram stop at the end of the road. The staff were adorable and so helpful. We loved them all but a special thank you to Jessica.

Really helpful staff, great English so no issues with language barrier. Happy to make recommendations based on what we wanted to do. Great location far enough to the hill to be quieter and not far from a tram so we didn't need to walk that far if we didn't want to. Great choice at breakfast and all fresh and lots of choice. Really lovely room with two balconies. Pretty comfy bed with nice pillows. Nice sofa and plenty of space around the bed.

Not a lot of space downstairs so if all the rooms were booked out might be a squeeze at breakfast and in some of the communal rooms.

We were received with love and attention! The best hotel reception I've ever had. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel has an informal attitude that makes it almost family-like. The room was spacious and very nicely decorated. The bathroom is also well designed and offers everything you need with Rituals bathroom supplies. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of food an all of great quality. We even received a personal note from the staff when we left. I can recommend the hotel for 100% and hope to come back!

Hard to say anything negative. We had some issues with the light switches, but really a minor problem.

It’s very central located in Barrio Alto and was very convenient for me, also got an upgrade to an even nicer room with a balcony and a view over Lisbon. The staff is super friendly and always there if you need them. Breakfast is nice with a lot of different options. I really didn’t worry about anything at all.

It was clean but could have been a bit cleaner especially the bathroom and the walls are very thin I heard my neighbours or understood almost every word what they said while lying in bed and trying to get some sleep at 11:30pm. But this was just the first night, the second one was quiet.

My flight was delayed by an hour, but when I arrived at the hotel, Rafael was waiting for me with a delicious glass of red wine at the reception, and helped with my suitcase. The check-in process was fast and efficient. I was delighted to find myself in a comfortable room overlooking the courtyard with a beautiful view of the swimming pool and garden. The breakfast was outstanding, featuring a variety of local fruits, freshly squeezed juices, and all the offerings you’d expect from a high-quality boutique hotel. The shower facilities were excellent, and my room was spotless every single day. The bed was made impeccably, and each day I had a lovely handwritten note with tips on where to go, along with a different treat. One day, it was port wine; another day, delicious custard tarts; and on the last day, I was surprised with some delightful chocolates. The hotel provided mineral water daily, and the reception lobby offered fruit-infused water and tea, such thoughtful touches! The service was impeccable, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. Special thanks to Rafael, Roberta, Beatriz and Hassan! I extended my stay by one day and made a last minute booking via Booking.com. The team handled everything seamlessly without making me feel awkward. They even allowed me to stay in the same room, which was amazing. This hotel exceeded all my expectations. I loved Lisbon, and my stay here was a big part of that. I can’t wait to return. Highly recommended! Fantastic customer Service, service was great!
