It was so quiet and semi rural. I did not want to be in the middle of the city. David was the most congenial host and he had great instincts about when people wanted to talk and when they wanted to be left alone, breakfast was offered every day. I’m sure it was delicious. I just don’t eat breakfast. The room was spacious, beautifully appointed and the bathroom shower was very large. There was an outdoor patio that I did not use, but it was nice to know that I could have.

Off the beaten path. Quiet and good stay. Great host and we chatted with stories to share during breakfast. David made breakfast which was included. Had a simple home made breakfast made to order. He is an elderly gentleman running the place himself. He is a Falconer. Ask him about falcons!
Shared toilet as this is a host. Good during our stay as the other couple sharing was nice clean and quiet.

I saw a post before we arrived from someone who pulled up outside and didn't like the look of the place and drove off. What a gem of a place they missed. Dave is a brilliant host, spending time to chat if you want or giving you space and privacy if you want. This is his home and it is obvious he takes pride in it (although the grounds at the front and rear are left to grow as nature intended). His home was spotlessly clean, the bedroom we had (with its own bathroom) was large, the bedding and towels also spotlessly clean. The bed was the comfiest we have stayed in. We are from the UK and had been travelling across the US for 2 months and it was great to hear some of Dave's stories and those of other travellers who stayed whilst we were there. We arrived after a long, hot, drive. What a surprise to be offered a couple of cool beers to help us settle in. There is a patio area at the rear where you can sit out under the stars and chat with other guests. Dave had plenty of tips of sites to see, places to eat and places to shop. We will definitely stay here again if we come to Flagstaff and will certainly recommend it to our friends. Without doubt this was the best pace we stayed at out over 20 places we stayed. Whilst we stayed for the most part in Motels we also stayed in some very nice hotels and Dave's beat them all both in cleanliness and friendliness. The only negative was that we only stayed 2 nights. We would have liked to have stayed longer but our travel plans didn't allow this

This is the kind of place where you feel at home right away and that people who enjoy meeting other people will like.David lives with his old cared for dog in a big comfortable house and he likes having guests.he is a bird lover who lived in many places in USA and we did a lot of talking.so different from impersonal hotels.we will remember sharing the kitchen and his making delicious fruit pancakes with real maple syrup in his sleepers.just like staying at your uncle home
Not Making his guests remember not to forget beer and food in his fridge!! It was our fault of course, but not important!

My main purpose for staying at this property was a place to sleep and wash myself while I was recreating in the Flagstaff and Grand Canyon area. The bed was clean and comfortable, and the shower was clean and very pleasant to use with plenty of hot water. The accommodations are far better than can be found at a hostel for very similar rates. David is a great host, and I would happily stay here again!

The garden is a magic place and the house is spotlessly clean! The host invited us to leave the shoes at the entrance which is something I really appreciated. Also it has a lovely natural light and if you’re looking for a place to relax, this is just for you. The host also offered to make us breakfast and was a lovely person to talk to.
I can’t think of anything. It’s a little distant from Flagstaff city center but that’s why we chose it.

My husband and I stayed at David's property during our road trip through Arizona and Utah. It was the perfect location to visit Sedona AND the Petrified Forest! We got the master bedroom which was nice and clean and with garden view. The house is very nicely decorated! The house is in a very quiet neighborhood and other guests in other rooms behaved very respectfully. On request the host will make you a breakfast. We will come back.
N/A! Everything was great!

The host was very flexible on breakfast options, I had eggs on a toasted bagel, but there were many options available. The place is back from the main road so is quiet, it was easy to find and generally the host was just very easy going while I was staying there.
Loved everything, had no issues.

This is the perfect retreat for people looking for peace and rest. The house is absolutely gorgeous, spacious, clean, silent and confortable. The host is a quiet, peaceful, kind and intelligent man that makes you feel at home.
I can’t make any negative remarks about this place.

David was a great host, place was great value for money and perfect for what we needed. Location was great, slightly outside of flagstaff but had beautiful views.
Was exactly what we were expecting and great value for money, FYI, it's more akin to a homestay than hotel so if u want a hotel set up... book a hotel!
