One time we ordered room service: Clear recommendation for the burger and club sandwich, they were really delicious. We had only a 5 minute walk to get to Edinburgh Castle, so the location is superb. There was the opportunity to get our parking ticket scanned by the reception for a discount. The staff was very forthcoming and kind. Price was also affordable since we booked outside of the season. On top of that we booked the breakfast the night before on site, which resulted in a discount.

One night, right around midnight, we woke to a loud noise from what could've been metal wagons that were loaded into a lift near our room. This rattling continued for 10 to 15 minutes, no chance to get to sleep in that time or in the time shortly after.

Everything from arrival to checkout was extraordinarily pleasant. Freshly baked greeting cookies (which I must admit were the best I've ever had) also a very nice chocolate box for my beloved one for his 30th and romantic room setup with Castle view. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, always greeting you with warm smiles. The cleanliness level is absolutely immaculate and the breakfast...omg!! So fresh everything and so many choices for everyone tastes. Thank you from heart to all the staff and their hard work🙏 their effort could be seen and felt the entire stay. I'm definitely coming back and recommend you to everyone!

Hilton hotels never disappoint. Comfortable beds, linens, toiletries and service. Breakfast was accommodating to all diets and restrictions. Location was very central to everything the city has to offer. WiFi is strong for remote working and admin. Staff are accommodating and helpful. The area is quiet at night which is rare in city centre hotels. This hotel is walkable from train station even with a lot of luggage. There are fans and central heating. Rooms are large and have a desk for working. The facility is disability friendly (both of us have medical disabilities). There are lifts. The bathrooms are large and showers have handles for the differently abled.

The reception staff were excellent. The room was comfortable and the 2 double beds were appreciated. When booking for 2 adults the assumption is often that we're a couple so twin rooms are not offered. We were a mother and son group so the 2 double beds were great. The lovely cookie presented upon arrival was a bonus (and delicious). The location of the hotel suited our purposes well. The breakfast was very good, and again, the staff were attentive and professional. We had a drink in the bar at night and again - great staff. I'd stay here again.

Nothing - all was good.

The view from the room of Edinburgh castle was lovely ,although we had to pay for an upgrade to have a decent view, complimentary fruit basket and chocolates were a very nice touch also the hand written card celebrating our 45 wedding anniversary was lovely.

Chose to eat in Mondobo the on site restaurant which with hindsight was a mistake.Had to ask if the vegetable soup was a cold version as it was barely warm, next course was not much better, didn't make a fuss over main course but would not eat there again.

The staff were amazing and dealt with the issues we had like true professionals. Room was large and comfortable, location great. Facilities good.

Unfortunately there was a private party in the Sky Bar when we stayed. We could hear everything. Raised to staff who escalated and offered a room change we declined because we were already in bed. We had a disturbed night but the staff dealt with this impeccably and sorted a way to compensate us very promptly. Would stay again in the future. Thanks for being brilliant.

Absolute great location . Everything was in walking distance, staff were so friendly and polite. Food was fantastic. Will have no hesitation in booking again.

The room was well equipped and reasonably clean apart from the top of the headboard where there was a lot of dust. Not a complaint as thoroughly enjoyed my stay but could be a problem if someone has dust allergies

The location is impeccable it's less than 10 mins walk from the castle. Breakfast is lovely and the staff are really helpful when it comes to getting to local spots. The restaurant has an amazing selection and is incredibly filling.

There is a bit of internal noise pollution. We could hear people in the hallway but not to the point we couldn't sleep. Doesn't have a spa or swimming pool which is disappointing but we only really stayed there to sleep. My husband did have some problems with the shower being too hot, not sure if it's a pervasive issue though.

Party clothes were hung up for me although I was too early to check into my room. Reception staff courteous and knowledgeable. If you ever need to recommend a hairdresser to your guests - Medusa next door also fab. Probably the best scrambled egg I have ever eaten in a hotel.

Very, very small quibble - which didn't matter as it wasn't raining! Booked originally simply because attending party in SKYBar (which was fab!) and had hoped that would be possible to go from hotel to party without going outside - partly because of weather and also because was travelling alone and didn't really want to be outside in Edinburgh in the early hours of the morning. In the event - not a problem.

Warm welcome from helpful staff. Great room with a view of the castle. Room had good facilities and a great tv screen for watching the Euros! This was aquite a late booking due to unexpectedly needing to change a booking at another hotel. So pleased I did the location and hotel facilities suited our needs very well.
