Great location 10 min walk from the centre , got my 20 min walk from Haymarket from airport shuttle bus easy to find with google maps. The room was smaller as I thought but according to time I spent in enough. The bathroom and bed were made every day, also the instant coffee was filled to have enough for all days, comfy bed with heating on. Very appreciated the power station for the USB for my phone as I forgot the UK adaptor. I had no breakfast, can´t tell, there´s a supermarket just couple of minutes away to buy some sandwiches for the early day tour.
I couldn´t pay CASH at the property , only credit card. I was told the lift is out of order by arrival but it was not working 6 days - I was staying at the top floor. I felt disturbing the neighbour building which was islamic mosque but it´s something that hotel can´t solve probably .

The hotel was previously the maternity hospital where I was born. This was why we chose to stay here. When I told the reception staff this, they were kind enough to print me a booklet all about it's history . Really appreciated that. Staff were all friendly and welcoming. There was always someone on reception to speak to. The hotel was everything we were expecting, and it smells lovely, too. Good location to all the places we wanted to visit . Great amenities in the room. Coffee machine, bath robes, and a fridge stocked with welcome drinks and chocolate. The bed was super comfortable.. Radiators in the room made it easy to dry our clothes after we got caught in heavy rain. A fantastic 2 night stay. Would definitely recommend it.
There was nothing to dislike.

The staff are wonderful, the manager Mr William, his daughter Zoe on reception and sometimes in the café and the tireless Mrs Karen who attended to us at breakfast is a sweet person. The quality of the breakfast is excellent. The room we stayed in was spacious, the bed was very large and comfortable and there were 2 tables, one for work and the other for meals. There was a fridge and 2 waters and 2 chocolates every day. In general, the hotel's staff, room and breakfast made a positive difference.
The only downside is that there is no car park and I got a fine when I stopped in front of the hotel, even though I followed the instructions to stop when there was only one yellow line on the ground, never two. The hotel is within walking distance of the attractions, but there are others much closer.

The room was comfortable and well laid out. There was tea and coffee and plenty of wardrobe space. Bathroom was modern with bath and shower. Staff were friendly and helpful and gave a good dinner recommendation. We had cold buffet breakfast with cheeses, fruit, croissants, col meat, juices, and cereals. There were a bus stop across the road to take you to the Royal Mile and Princes Street and other parts of the city.
The breakfast juice was ok, but then we've been to very few hotels with any better! Croissants very doughy the first morning, but were fine on day 2 and 3. The shower was difficult to operate but worked well once you figured out how to do it.

Very convenient location, close to the City center, bus stop number five 2 minutes up. Very kind and polite staff. They helped solve the problem with returning my things that I forgot in another Glasgow hotel. Spacious room with windows and a comfortable bed, with heating that you can adjust yourself, clean and tidy, there is a coffee machine, kettle and everything you need to make coffee and tea, two bottles of sparkling and still water, 2 bottles of Pepsi, chocolate in the fridge! Very quiet, we were able to get a good night's sleep! Breakfasts were delicious and everything was freshly cooked to order! Thank you very much for the pleasant experience!
I liked everything, no complaints.

The location of the hotel is perfect, it is close to the attentions in the old town, there are also convenient public transport connections to all parts of the city. The staff was very helpful and friendly. As we had breakfast included and had to leave very early, they offered to make some cold breakfast for us to take away, which was very nice. The building is old and impressive. It is not noisy, one can have a good rest at night. The breakfast was varied and very delicious.
My only recollection is to have some disposable slippers, everything else is provided.

The room was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. The room came with many extras, such as Nespresso coffee machine, though many other hotels do have coffee machines, seldom will you find such a standard.
Some people may find this an issue, but not us, the TV was not large and entertainment in the room/hotel was not apt for young children. Moreover, if you want to stay a bit in bed, the noise coming from the corridor may distract you a bit.

Great location. Such kind and helpful reception members! I would also like to mention Neil from maintenence for the help with the room's safe and for his kind note :) I felt safe to stay there, the doors of the hotel only opens after the reception checked who enters- it was very importent for me to feel this safe as a solo traveler. Would come back.
Sometimes the clean person didnt change the towels and coffee set after their morning clean, but oh well.

Location was very good, I was withen walking distance of the old and new town. I was on the ground floor close to reception, dining room and bar which for a single women made me fell safe and the staff was lovely. This was one of the first hotels that nothing seem to be too much trouble. (every request for extra teabags and milk was given with a smile) Bed was comfy.Bathroom was roomy and shower hot. Breakfast good choice and I got to try Haggis.
Due to the nature of old buildings in Edingburgh, I was below ground level, almost like a moat which made the room dark and warm. But the room had plenty of lights and the double glazing inner window could be opened. I would use the room again if alone, but I will be back next year with my partner and so will request a upper room.

The hotel was in a lovely old building with lots of character. The bedrooms were quite spacious, very clean, nicely furnished in muted colours and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom ( with a shower over the bath ) was modern and clean. There is a lift, which is useful with suitcases, and the entrance to the hotel is secure with a 24 hr buzzer system. Breakfast was really delicious with lots of choices available and the hot cooked breakfast was to order ( so none of the congealed breakfast buffets you get in some hotels !!) . The staff were all very friendly and helpful . The very centre of Edinburgh is a 15 min walk but the 27 bus stop is near the hotel and will take you to the centre. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay and, if you don’t like the big modern hotels and want something with character but still extremely comfortable and offers quality amenities then this comes highly recommended .
Everything was great.
