Staff were lovely, efficient and friendly and gave the aprthotel a relaxed vibe. Decor and facilities excellent and room warm and spacious. Superb location with restaurants nearby and within easy walking distance of all the attractions.

The staff were exceptional, super friendly and welcoming, shared some great advices what to see and visit during our stay and overall were very helpful as we arrived way earlier than check-in time. Thankfully we could leave our bags and go explore around. The location was perfect for a first time visit to Edinburgh, plenty of places around to eat or have a drink, though I must admit that the apartment was too cozy to leave for long. Our apartment was just like in the photos, very clean and stylish. The beds were super comfortable too.

Unfortunately we couldn’t order any breakfast items from the kitchen as such service was unavailable during our stay, however, the breakfast buffet was lovely.

Great room with so many amenities. Loved having the small kitchen area and refrigerator/freezer (with ice cube tray!). The bed was extremely comfortable. The lobby was a nice space. Three castle view was very cool.

It took us two days to figure out how to work the air conditioning and close the “blinds” so the first two nights were quite noisy as we slept with the window open. Some sort on in room instructions would’ve been very helpful. More than two pillows for the king sized bed would’ve been good as well. The main entry door security was not working with key control at the time of our stay.

The location is perfect. Comfortable rooms, well equipped with everything you needed to semi make your own meals. All was great & staff were the nicest & most helpful. Staff at Wilde know how to treat their guest right. Amy with her big bright smile, daily greetings & eagarness to help and make guest feel at home. Stewart took the cake by booking us an Uber & paying for it so we would not miss our train, because it was snowing outside & the cab had not arrived. we offered to pay him back but he said just go," I do not want you to miss your train." We did not miss it, thanks to Stewart. I noticed Stewart making some tea for an old grandma, earlier at breakfast, at the same time, taking care of her grandson, also giving him a small jug of milk to carry back to his grandma so she could have it with her tea. Very sweet, all the while, talking to the young boy & asking him questions. This is type of hospitality is hard to find, Wilde either has chosen well or taught their staff extremely well. However it never felt, like it was put on, they genuinely cared. These two did not seem to be doing this as a job, they were enjoying caring for their guest, they were genuine & took time to get to know the guest they were serving at the hotel. Cheers to these two, so appreciated. We will want to come & stay at Wilde again & again. We did not get photos with these two delightful people so... Next time!!!

single beds were a tad bit small but truthfully, it was not in the least a bother, we slept well regardless so that was possibly the only thing to point a finger at but, not in the least worth the mention.

Wilde aparthotel on grassmarket is in a wonderful location for exploring both old town and new town, and perfect for the fringe. Just a minute walk from bars and restaurants yet in a quiet location. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and comfortable with an excellent shower. A full kitchen and lovely little extras such as milk, coasters and notepaper made a cosy room feel luxurious. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. We had a castle view which was a bonus. We made food use of the room when resting between fringe shows and had a fantastic stay and would book again in the future.

It would have been nice to have more coffee pods in the room for a four night stay. However staff did give us more when requested. The bed was against the wall on one side, meaning less easy access.

Lack of clear instruction in room- e.g. figuring out smart panels takes some time . Sofa bed unmade-it was unclear where bedding to be found. No phone support-only AI type support on Whatsapp. AI was misleading 1st night when we were trying to locate sofa bedding-AI support wasted 20 min late at night misdirecting us for bedding location, reassuring us it was being resolved. Problem was eventually solved much faster by going down to lobby and interacting with an actual human being. Castle view excellent-however there was ? bird dropping in the middle of the glass panel which somewhat spoiled the effect.

The lady that checked us in (Ava?) was extremely friendly and informative. Great way to start the stay. Room was clean and modern and included a Nespresso maker as well as a few complimentary sweets. Wifi worked well. The location was absolutely perfect. It has the feeling of being on a quiet street yet just 200 meters up the road you were in the heart of Old Town. You can see the castle from the hotel entrance and there is discounted parking a 2 minute walk from the hotel. It's easy for someone to state "I would stay here again", but in our case we actually did as three nights later we came back for the Edinburgh Tattoo.

Gorgeous, well equipped apartment. Comfortable bed and the sofa bed was as well. The sofa pulled out to two full-size singles, and bedding was provided for them. Lovely shower. Everything looked brand new, so it was well maintained. Fabulous staff - all of them, including the cleaning crew, who were so helpful. The continental breakfast had lots of choice and was good quality and fresh. The location was excellent. Literally, you looked up, and the castle was there. Parking a few hundred yards down the road on a large NCP car park, and we got a discount ticket that was very generous from the hotel. Excellent customer service throughout. Highly recommend.

Just an advidory really not a "don't like". There are no instructions for the fan heaters coffee machine or dishwasher. All of which I figured out, but I think some would struggle as they are good models and have options.:)

The hotel is in a fantastic spot just a short walk from Grassmarket and with easy access to a lot of the key Edinburgh sites. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the apartment was cosy and well appointed. It was great to have access to a guest laundry on the premises too. We opted for an apartment with a view of the castle and that was a nice touch and added to the experience. We had drinks and food in the lounge area of the hotel a couple of times which was nice - good pizzas! It was hard to choose the right place to stay in Edinburgh but I think the Wilde Hotel provided value for money and a great location.

The staff were absolutely lovely, incredibly welcoming and helpful. The rooms were nice, with very comfy beds and it felt clean when we came in and we could check in early by a couple of hours. There were cookies and flavoured water free and readily available when we were leaving or coming into the hotel which was always nice to have. The local area was great for drinks, food spots and overall atmosphere.

The little area downstairs where you can buy snacks and drinks was quite expensive, we just walked to a supermarket to get any snacks we wanted, a sainsburys local was about 5 minutes away. With the rooms, there were blackout blinds which were great, however a good amount of light still got into the room from underneath the doors due to the hallway lights always being on. With our room having a castle view, the street below could be quite noisy around the later hours but this didn't bother us too much.
