We first visited Maison Cabral in 2021 just out of Covid and were so happy to be able to return four years later. Susana and Alberto are such charming owners, full of excellent local recommendations and it always feels as though they can’t do enough for you. This time we stayed in the studio at the bottom of the garden and really enjoyed the privacy. Love the location too - can easily walk into the city but it is easy to stay away from the tourist madness and the local area has so many great neighbourhood cafes, restaurants and bars in its own right. We won’t wait ao long before returning next time!

Had a fabulous 3 night stay with my sisters at this lovely boutique hotel. Suzanne is the most helpful and welcoming host - nothing is too much for her and she offered so much information which was very welcome. So accomodating with our checkout too ❤️. Such a bubbly and lovely person! The room was lovely, roomy (duplex) and overlooked the pool. Cleaned daily, with exceptional standards and attention to detail. I personally couldnt fault it and would certainly love to return. Location was good. 15 minute walk to the main parts of Porto. Everything was easily accessible.

Fantastic 4 night stay in Maison Cabral. We had a room overlooking the pool with a small balcony. However we were offered an upgrade to a larger room for free if we wished. The best part of the stay was the hosts Susana & Alberto, such warm hosts always happy to provide recommendations and ask how your day was. When we arrived we were treated to a taste of 3 ports and Susana kindly organised a trip for us to Douro Valley. Accommodation was a beautiful 19th century house, very comfortable stay and wouldn’t stay anywhere else if we were to return (hopefully)x

We had a wonderful stay at Maison Cabral. The building itself is beautiful, with lovely architectural details and a calm, elegant atmosphere. Our room was bright and cleverly designed, with everything we needed and a little balcony overlooking the courtyard. But what really stood out was the exceptional hospitality from Alberto and Susana. They went out of their way to help us navigate a transportation issue due to a train strike, and their warmth and attentiveness made a real difference in our stay. This kind of care is rare and truly appreciated. If we ever return to Porto, we would absolutely stay here again.

It is a beautiful property in a fabulous location. It has so many lovely features and our room was spotless. Comfortable beds and amazing decor and facilities. The pool was fantastic and great to relax after a busy day. The hosts were amazing, really friendly and helpful. They stayed up to allow us a late check in when we arrived, when our flight was delayed. They were so helpful with places to go and information about the city and so friendly and welcoming. It felt like a home from home. We had an incredible stay.

Absolutely nothing. It was perfect.

Maison Cabral sits in the most perfect and quaint location... very close to everything you need.. from restaurants and bars to supermarkets and landmarks. Alberto and Susana were just wonderful and they took the best care of me during my babymoon. I am already planning a trip back!!!

Everything was great... unfortunately, I travelled at a time when the pool wasn't heated (I believe it's only heated during April and Nov.. please confirm with them) so I missed out on enjoying that. Looking forward to doing another trip when I can fully enjoy it as well.

We loved our stay at Maison Cabral, Alberto and Susana were amazing hosts and couldn't do enough for you. Upon arriving Alberto gave us so many recommendations for things to do, eat and visit. The room was perfect for me and my partner for our 5 day stay. During our stay Susana and Alberto were always available during the reception hours to ask if everything was okay and help out with any questions about the city or place we may have had. Very much looking forward to staying again in the future.

The only small thing is to keep in mind that the pool doesn't get sun until the afternoon, which we didn't mind. It meant we could explore the city in the morning and then come back for a lazy post-lunch bathe around the pool.

Maison Cabral is honestly one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. The welcome from Susana is worth staying here for alone. Our room was beautiful, we had a terrace room which overlooked the pool. Sadly we didn’t use it as it was too cold in March. Well will be back though to make the most of it in the future. Easy to get to from the airport via the tram and easy and pleasant stroll into Porto. 10/10 hotel which offered excellent value for money with the warmest welcome we have ever received. Everything was perfect

Susana was the best! As soon as we walked in, I felt like we were family. She gave us recommendations all around the city, gave us a tour of the facilites, and even shared samples of Port Wine while I room was getting ready (she also upgraded us to larger room when she noticed the time we were going to stay) She made this place the main reason why we would come back to this Hotel again! As for the location, so many things were walking distances and the whole city is easily accessible with an Uber/Bolt.

This place offers just the next level of hospitality! I've travelled a lot, but never ever met such friendly staff as here! You can ask them anything, they will give you the city map and provide you with the best restaurant recommendations (and there are several really good ones next to this maison both for breakfast and dinner) or will help you to book tours around Porto. My greatest appreciation to this amazing team! Really made my trip unforgettable and made me think, if I ever visit Porto again, that there would be no better place to stay. The house itself is stylish and beautiful. It is conveniently located in a nice, quite, residential part of the city, very close to Lapa metro station. The walking distance to the city center is quite manageable. There are two Pingo Doce supermarkets nearby, but if you don't have the time to go there and suddenly crave a snack/drink in the middle of the night - don't worry, the maison offers a variety of small bites in the common kitchen area as well as a selection of vines; just pay at the check out! I found this super useful instead of a standard minibar that typical hotels offer. There is also a microwave in this kitchen area, in case you might need it. You can also find there beach towels that you can use in the pool area. The room is exceptionally clean and has everything that is needed for a nice stay, including top quality bed sheets, Nespresso machine, cooking stuff, bathroom amenities, good AC, etc. And bonus - there are two cute cats in the maison that you can meet in the common/pool area. However, if you are allergic, just let the staff know and they will make sure you are not disturbed by them. Customer care is really at the highest possible level!

The only downside is the renovation works in the neighboring building that sometimes can disturb the peace and quiet in the pool area, but in the rooms you can't hear it. Of course, it is not the hotel's fault and eventually the works will be over, so don't let this fact prevent you from booking your stay. In the evenings and at night everything is very quiet, I've never slept better than here!
