As I had read in other reviews, Sylvia the proprietor was wonderful. Her communication with me before the trip was excellent and continued to be during my stay. This hotel is an easy'ish (only because of the uneven pavement) walk from the Firenze train station. Despite how close it is, it was still a very quiet stay. Florence is such an easy town to walk in and you can get to everything from the B&B. There is a little Trattoria right across the street that was recommended by Sylvia and it was excellent for dinner.

The typical European shower is very teeny especially for shaving legs. But I managed. It wasn't a problem for me, but there is a step down into this room and a step up into the shower.

This is one of the most exceptional B&B’s that we have ever stayed at! The innkeeper, Silvia, is incredibly welcoming, helpful and prepares one of the best breakfasts we have had on our travels! She even delivers it at a time we selected each morning and prepares a cooked breakfast that we have chosen from an extensive menu! The inn is located in a great neighborhood that is within close walking distance to all the major sights!We look forward to staying at the inn again on our next trip to Florence!

There was nothing that we didn’t enjoy about the inn!

Well located a short walk from Santa Maria Novella station. Carrefour supermarket nearby, as well as a wide variety of restaurants. Our room was a good size, comfortable, tastefully decorated and with a pleasant courtyard outlook, and came with air-conditioning, a mini-fridge and tea/coffee facilities. The included breakfasts were superb, delivered to the room each morning at a time of our choosing in accordance with our selections the night before from an extensive menu that included ham, cheese and/or cooked eggs. Hostess Silvia was friendly, helpful and very well organised. A delightful stay.

There was almost nothing we didn't like save that a receptacle on the shower enclosure wall for soaps and shampoos would have been good.

The location is very nice. 2 minutes away from the train station, with many restaurants and shops around and a Carrefour Express around the corner. The breakfast is so nice! Silvia gives you a leaflet where you can tick the products you want for breakfast and the time you want this to be delivered in the room. Our room had a table and two chairs, so we could have breakfast very comfy. The range of options is endless: toasts, croissants, fruit, pancakes, cake, ham, Nutella, eggs… Awesome!! The room itself was very good too. Good size room with a nice heating that can keep the room warm even if it’s very cold outside

Our FAVOURITE stay of our whole Europe trip. What an amazing place this is. The host Silvia goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable during your stay and is so kind. The homemade breakfast each morning delivered to your room was a great touch and the room was spotless and well maintained each day of our stay. Honestly you just NEED to stay here. Location is also great, well within walking distance to everything but still in a quiet area. Highly highly recommend. Would defintely stay here again.

The hotel is very close to the train station and the city center; we were able to walk everywhere easily, the location was excellent. Silvia was very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. Our room was spacious and had a separate dressing room. It was also very clean. We were very comfortable with our small child — thank you!

The hair dryer in the room didn’t work very well. Other than that, there was nothing we didn’t like.

Great location only 5 minutes from the railway station & tram station (direct route to & from the airport via T2). We were welcomed by Sylvia a very friendly host. Our room was perfect for our 4 night stay. Sylvia brought us breakfast in our room each morning at a time to suit us - a really great selection of food for breakfast. Would highly recommend La Locandiera for a Florence city break.

Hospitality was great, Silvia is awesome! She was very friendly, cheerful, helpful, always responded quickly, and was attentive to our needs. Breakfasts were A++. Very well run B&B. Very close proximity to train station was great for travel days. Close enough to walk to all attractions.

Could use more places to put your stuff, like a dresser, more shelves, etc. in bedroom and a shelf or caddy in the shower, but all the positives about this place far outweigh this slight inconvenience.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The B&B is in an excellent location to explore Florence and Sylvia is a great host. Breakfast was quite good with cooked eggs and delicious croissants. The fruit served was apples and a kiwi fruit, some berries would have been nice.

I found the doona very warm, a lighter blanket would be good. We were in room 7 and the cistern in the adjoining room is very noisy if people use the bathroom early in the morning.

We had a lovely stay at La Locandiera. Sylvia is a fantastic host and made us feel very welcome. The room was a great size, plenty of space for the two of us and having the table to take breakfast at was very handy. The breakfast was really nice and was a great way to start our mornings. I would absolutely stay here again, the location was great, just a few minutes from the train station but very quiet at night.
