I had a great experience at this hotel, thanks to the wonderful staff. The two guys and the lady at the front desk I met on August8th were friendly and welcoming, and they upgraded our rooms. The two ladies in the breakfast area "Especially the Moroccan lady" were also super nice and helpful. And I appreciated the help from the two guys on our last day, who assisted us with a late checkout by keeping two of our rooms available. "You can tell that I'm very bad with remembering names" The hotel's location is convenient, just a short walk from the train station. One downside was the neighborhood, which wasn't the best. I wish the hotel was located in a different area. But overall, a great experience thanks to the staff's warmth and kindness

I had a pleasant stay! The staff were very nice and welcoming. The bed was extremely comfortable with four fluffy pillows and even a pair of slippers provided, which was a lovely touch. Although the room was quite small, it was clean. The location is excellent — right next to the train station, bus, and tram stops, which made getting around super convenient. Great value overall!

The only downside was that the shower drain was very slow, which made it a bit inconvenient. But aside from that, everything else was wonderful!

The hotel's location is extremely convenient, we walked to and from the city centre every day, the railway station is also very close. The staff was polite and attentive at all times - I appreciated the nice touch with the hand written note and chocolates waiting for us at check-in or the pasta gift at check-out. The room was spacious, the bathroom was clean. There were a couple of minor inconveniences - the towels had an unpleasant smell, but we replaced them after the first night and the new set was alright. The duvet was dirty, so I was very mindful at night not to touch it. The sheets do not help as they do not fully cover it. Also, we did not understand at all the check in procedure - we were several times asked to send our passport copies upfront, we were even asked to do online check-in and again insert our passport details. When we arrived, we were asked for the documents again. The check-in procedure was supposed to be simplified, but was in fact really annoying to do it three times...Other than this, I believe the hotel is good value for money.

My 11 year old and I stayed at 'Joy' for three nights and it was lovely. The room was very comfortable and clean and had everything we needed - great shower!! We also had a nice view of Florence from our window. Breakfast was yummy and had a great selection and plenty of it - it set us up really well for the day. The breakfast staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome. The hotel is just across the road from the train station but our room was lovely and quiet. It's also very close to the city and all the sites - nothing was more than 20 mins away - and walking though Florence is just lovely. Google maps say much longer than it actually was to anywhere. The Duomo was about 10 mins and the Uffizi 15. There is a little supermarket just around the corner for snacks and bits that we needed. This Hotel is small and cosy, I would like to thank Christian, Ambra and Giaaa (sorry if spelt wrong!) for all their help with my questions and suggesting places to eat. And for putting up with my really bad attempt at Italian!! They really do go out of their way to help. I would definitely stay at this Hotel again as I would love to return to Florence to see all the bits we missed. Thank you Hotel Joy xxx

location was nice, 10-15 minutes walk from the main tourist attractions. a bit shaddy in the night, but it's like this near any train station in european cities. room was nice - we asked to be at the end of the hallway far from the elevator, which we definitely got that - thanks to Allessio and Mateo from reception for this. the bed was comfortable, and we received a nice welcome handwritten message and a special bowl for our dog. very thoughtful.

Unfortunately, the bathroom was not clean. there was mold everywhere, and i find it strange in a day and time where there are so many cleaning products, but yeah... also, even though we received the room we asked for (far away from the elevator and stairs, and also at the end of the hallway) unfortunately our door had 2 more doors next to each other, and the other guests were definitely not quite, which made our dog stressed and barked a few times.

It was, indeed, “joy” creating and fantastic after nearly 20 hours of traveling that day solo,3 countries within the week, and being displaced, treated like crap by some airlines and other hotels. The staff member when I arrived late night-I think named Michael (might be mistaken in my sleep deprivation) was extremely kind. This place had a shower so wonderful that I would say it was in the top 3 of hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The room was large and very nice compared to many at the same rate. Highly recommend!

Nothing negative to say.

Everything in the hotel was excellent, from the accommodation and breakfast to the staff. The hotel is very well located in relation to the city center, so you don’t need to use public transport at all. Also, the train station is just a 3-minute walk from the hotel, which is great if you’re arriving in Florence by train. Daniel was extremely helpful and kind, patiently answering all our questions. The other reception staff, whose names I unfortunately didn’t remember, were also very pleasant and accommodating. Next time I visit, I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

From the main train station it took us a 3mins walk to hotel, Once booked in we ask about food, they wrote down some restaurants for us, and they gave us a card to take to a recommended restaurant within waking distance, who gave us a discount. The city was lovely

We got bus tickets for the day?, bad news was we got in what can only be described as a cardboard box (small bus) we squeezed on just, but could not find the machine to activate the tickets, then next thing 3 bus inspectors squeezed on ask for our tickets, I showed them our tickets and explained we could not see the machine, it was there in the middle behind another person, he didn't accept this and fined us 40euros each, this put us off using the buses again in this town.

Super hotsl at a lokation. Super central and very quite as well. The nicest personall and super great cleaning. They kept making up the bed and bringing brand new cups, soap, towels and toiletpapir and all even though we didn't put the cleaning sign up and tried to make it clear (through the sign and specially assigned hangers) that we didn't need new stuff sins the 'old' was either unused or barely used..And we got a handwritten note with free stuff like cofee and pasta. So that is really going above and beyond! They also had tnd the best kindest service in thebar. Thank you Alex for being so kind. . The location made the trip 1000% better cause we could get home with shopping/to use the toilet or change so easily. Bonustip: Eat at the places between the hotel and the river (south) They had the best local restaurants and AMAZING bakeries.

Breakfirst is great but the rooms are very dull and you don't have anywhere to put your stuff that is not hangers. Also the light is impossible for makeup and the waterpresure is bad (like in the rest of town) so do bring a lot of hangers; your own makeuplights; makeupmirror; slippers; robe; iron and soaps. Besides from that, very very great I really recommend

Joy The hotel's proximity to the railway station solved the time problem.From check in to check out the front desk staff were exceptionally welcoming I was impressed with Mr Dariele and Mr Matteo. Mr D was very accommodating at check in and check out, we added some money to upgrade us to a larger room with a balcony and checked in early so we could rest early.Mr M made a very thoughtful greeting when we went to pick up our stowed luggage and was very polite and friendly.All in all a great experience!
