From bottom to the top this place is amazing. Beautiful marble floors and walls with gold finishes. The staff were so nice and helpful. John checked us in and was so sweet. I had a personalized note in my room with some chocolate upon arrival. The room was a corner unit with a walk in shower it was nice and the attention to detail was noticed. The breakfast on the 16th floor was a beautiful bonus. The dining room was so nicely set up with huge windows that you get an amazing view of Halifax. Kudos to the chef because the breakfast was so delicious and plentiful. On Sunday the GM Nimfa came up (for breakfast) and spoke with every guest that was there. She is such a nice person who is so personable and takes pride in her hotel and staff. I will and have been recommending the Halofax Tower to anybody who will listen in PEI 😀 Thank you for an amazing experience. I will definitely be back.. Thank you Kate you were a pleasure as well

The breakfast was excellent lots of hot choices and I love how the dining room is on the top floor. This is our second time staying at the tower hotel and the customer service is exceptional. A nice addition this time was a buy one get one free ticket for drinks in the lounge. We really enjoyed taking advantage of this and I love how the facility is so nice and quiet. We had a room facing the street but didn't hear a thing.

The biggest complaint is the signage out front. We are familiar with it now but for first timers it would be great if there could be a sign outside the sliding doors letting people know that they have to go to the 3rd floor to find the hotel reception. When you first arrive all you see is the restaurant and the doors that open to the hotel portion look like an extension of the restaurant. It's not until you head to the elevators that you see the sign telling you to take the elevator to the 3rd floor for hotel reception.

-Very good continental breakfast. Lots of friendly staff around who make sure you're taken care of. -The biggest hotel room I've ever stayed in. -Complimentary parking. -Nice pool and hot tub. -Welcome chocolates and bottled water were a nice touch. -Stylish interior and high end finishes. -Close to highway made getting around easy.

-No soap in pool area showers or rules about showering before entering water. The chlorine smell was very strong and irritating which is often a sign of unclean pool water.

This is a beautiful and fresh hotel. The rooms are Massive and they have a beautiful lobby. The rooms are queen and the complimentary breakfast has everything you would want to eat in the morning. The staff are very helpful, especially Jeffrey at the Reception who assisted me checking in. I got a high floor with nice views and some welcome drinks. I am so glad I picked this hotel vs. The ones in downtown core. This is a bit far from the city centre, but still you have everything you would need close by. I have travelled a lot and stayed at different hotels, and for its price, this is one of the best. Will definitely stay again if I visit Halifax.

It’s a bit far from the downtown core, but most people visiting will be driving anyway so shouldn’t be an issue.

Breakfast was great. Lots to choose from. Very bright area on the 16th floor of the hotel. The pool was fantastic. Great for kids. Overall the hotel was extremely impressive. Would definitely stay there again.

Check in was late. I arrived at 2:40, check in was 3:00. I was told they were inspecting the rooms and check in would be shortly. No problem. At 3:00 I reminded front desk that I was still waiting but the room was still not ready. It was 3:13 when I given the key to check in. A little odd as it has never happened to me before.

The room was bright, clean and comfortable. It was quiet on the floor where I was staying, I did not hear a sound the whole night. Breakfast was hot, and fresh. I was on site for a conference on the second floor (Lakelands room, I think) and it was beautifully set up and a great temperature in that room.

It was a little confusing knowing which elevator took you to where but the signage was very helpful. As well, having the check in on the 3rd floor was a bit challenging in carrying baggage from the parking garage.

The location was perfect for us as far as being a little way away from the hectic downtown, so we didn’t have to hear lots of traffic was nice and quiet. The decor was lovely and well thought out. The bartender was super friendly and kept an exceptionally clean working area. The breakfast the next morning was beyond wonderful. Nice to see the owner working to greet and seat people and mingle amongst the guests. Very friendly and personable. Will highly recommend to friends for future travels. Definitely going to keep this in our top 5 places to stay when next we travel to Halifax. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

I wish there had of been a mat in the room as the hard floors were a little chilly and there just seemed to be a lot of empty floor space. Could have been a nice touch to the room. The bathroom sliding pocket door kept slamming and we were worried it would annoy the guest in the next room. Also tricky to work the lock on the door itself. The shower could have used a safety bar as well.

The elevator system was strange and because of it they were slow. One elevator went only went from floors 2-16 (which is where the breakfast is). So if you wanted to get the ground floor or parking you had to get on a different elevator. Some elevators required your key card in order to run and other’s didn’t. Also, in the breakfast room they could use another Keurig coffee machine as there was always a long line waiting to get a hot drink. Other than that the place is great!

I liked the hotel facilities, the gym, pool, hot tub. The restaurant, Le Rouge, has an excellent menu.

Depending on what you want to do and see, the location is a 15 minute drive from Halifax . The hotel is located in an industrial area...walking along the roads is difficult, there are no walking paths .. The quality of the breakfast did not reflect a 5-star hotel breakfast and could be improved. It is a 3-star hotel breakfast with the same boring items..., eggs, bacon, sausage, lots of sweet items etc...

The hotel is unusually spacious and clean, with huge rooms. We were particularly impressed by the friendliness of the staff. Breakfast on the 16th floor, was very good, with an airy atmosphere and lovely views. We were advised to get there early for the best selection. At 8am there was still plenty of hot and cold food. We usually stay in the city, so it was interesting to be at Bayer's Lake, but there's not much happening after 10pm, and we ended up going to bed earlier than usual.

I think the elevator system could be improved. I spent more time going up and down than I would have liked, and I wasn't alone. It would be helpful if there was an indication that the key card had been accepted, because it was impossible to tell.
