quick check-in / check-out, 24h open reception, very helpful and welcoming staff, small touches like overall cosy interior design, compact and clean room with provided TV, hairdryer, two towels, hand soap; sink with mirror above and full length mirror on the door in the room; location close to the bus stop ( both going to the hotel and from the hotel ); vending machine with canned soda and small snacks, coffee machine, additionally possibility to make some instant coffee on the way to rooms; shared bathroom is clean, hair and body wash provided.

The only downside for some people might be lack of an elevator or having a shared one bathroom that is on the 4th floor as well, got the impression that corridors at some points might be a bit too narrow for some bigger luggage.

I stayed in an en-suite single room. Quite small indeed, but perfectly clean. For me, the most important things are that the hotel is central, clean, and safe, and St David’s really ticks all those boxes. Simple yet thoughtfully decorated, it’s far from a dull tired-looking hotel. You can tell they put effort into it, and the staff, from reception to housekeeping, are incredibly friendly and helpful. I also appreciated the tea and coffee self service kitchenette corner, which is nicely kept and always clean.

The doors have an automatic closing system, which causes them to shut quite forcefully and make noise that you can hear from other rooms. I think this is for fire safety reasons, but they could perhaps be adjusted slightly.

We loved this location!! The room was very comfortable. Staff was great. We are desert dwellers from California and that the room had no a/c was fine with us as we are “heat tolerant” kinda like cacti. I actually prefer sleeping warmer in the ambient temperature… so I loved it!! But for others if there is a heatwave it may be a problem. Lovely place and great restaurants nearby and the Paddington Station so close we had access to all of London.

The hotel is compact but comfortable, beautifully decorated with a taste. It's one of the best value hotels in the area, not expensive and you have the basic to stay for few nights as a tourist. Really nice pictures on the wall, coffee, tea, cold and fizzy water for free non-stop. The superior room was comfortable and had all the necessary facilities. On the second floor it was quiet and we had a great sleep, no crazy guests in the other rooms. The staff member was great, all of them were very kind and attentive. Sometimes I felt I just want to stay and chat with them or felt like I knew them from somewhere. They gave me a home feeling.

The bed is a bit small but is comfy.

From the moment we entered we felt welcomed. We were early and our bags were left and we wandered the city which was right at our door. When we returned our luggage was already in our room. The location is around the corner from Paddington station but yet in a quiet street with a lovely public garden opposite. Quiet. There is the underground underneath where the occasional train rumbles for a few seconds but it’s the same as a car driving past (even less). But never during sleeping times. Room was quite roomy and yes no air con but the open window was perfect and there was a fan if we needed it. Will definitely come back and highly recommend. If you want total quiet and aircon stay in a faceless hotel room with no character for more £££.

I would have liked some train / bus maps or attraction brochures. There is tea coffee facilities but a breakfast option would be nice. But lots of restaurants nearby.

Very clean and attractively decorated hotel with super friendly staff. Beds were comfortable and room was on the small size but that was expected. Very pretty view of the park from our room at the front of the hotel. Electric kettle station near our room made it especially nice to have a quick cup of instant coffee to start the morning.

While I did expect to hear the sound and rumble of the underground I was more surprised by the late night sounds of passersby which I wasn't really expecting. I should have expected that since it is so close to pubs, restaurants and the railway station.

The room (and bathroom) had a really good size and were conveniently located on the ground floor. Additionally, free drinking water (even sparkling) was available so we did not need to buy any water.

No new towels were provided throughout the stay and the rooms were not cleaned throughout the duration of the stay as well.

Fantastic stay extremely close to Paddington Station with plenty of food options nearby. The room, although compact, was clean and serviced daily, which we really appreciated. When reception saw the luggage we had with us, we were offered a ground floor room and storage if we wished due to the room size which we were extremely grateful for. Yes, you can hear the trains passing below, but given the location near the tracks, it’s to be expected and our sleep wasn't disturbed at all. Having so many train and underground lines a two minute walk from the hotel made it incredibly easy to get around the city which makes it a great compromise. Great value for a central London base.

Hotel: The team were a real highlight. There was a younger lady on the front desk that was extremely helpful, kind and welcoming. She really added to our experience here. The main lobby has a water refill station in it too which was super handy. Location: The hotel is in the perfect location for getting around London. It was so central with tube lines right around the corner, and perfect for walking to places too. Rooms: The rooms we chose was compact but stylish and comfortable. They served their purpose perfectly! They were clean, comfy and had everything we needed.

The only downside to this hotel is that it's a bit nosy. There is a bit of street noise and you can hear the underground trains but they stop through the night so it's not too bad. Overall, worth it for the location, comfort and price of this hotel!

Having to collect luggage by 6pm which cut our time in "London" by 2 hours and meant we had 2 hours to kill at Paddington Station. When we returned to collect our luggage I did question why the "6 o'clock" curfew and the (lovely) guy couldn't give a answer to why we were told that by someone else in the morning. He did give some explanation but it didn't add up. Not 100% sure I'd stay again if this is the case.... See what I did there 😁 In hindsight I should have asked in the morning, when she said please collect by 6, what they would have done with them???? Put them out on the pavement 🤔 Just a strange thing, when everything else has been perfect.
