The room was neat and clean. The windows could open to ventilate the room. The bathroom was perfectly utilated and the water pressure was great. When it comes to the breakfast, the food was excellent and diverse. One could choose any variety of dishes. The bar staid open even past breakfast, until 11 PM, which made it comfortable to lounge at the reception-restaurant area. The building is historical and it has goregeous decorations on the facade, and intricate carvings at the lounge area. It makes for a unique an interesting stay, especially for history/architecture lovers. The staff was so kind as to share an envelope with the history of the building at check-out.

I loved the staff and how friendly and accommodating they could be. The check-in period lasts until 11 PM, which makes late check-ins possible, especially if arriving by train and experiencing delays.

+The staff made everything possible for my stay to be pleasant, including the early check-in and changing the room since the top-floor room was very hot due to the heat wave, +33 C! +The breakfast was great - röstbif, salmon, fresh fruits, pastries - all of good quality +Value for money is very good

-As I mentioned, the rooms were hot and there was no conditioning (it was not promised either - I just myself did not pay attention; so the description of facilities was correct). I don't think it is a problem for most of the summer days but during the 33oC it was hot (as probably in all hotels without proper conditioning...) -The traffic on the neighboring street may impact the sleeps, especially if the windows are open.

The staff were all very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was wide ranging and the breads and pastries in particular were fantastic. The location in the old town is conveniently sited for accessing the shops and the train station is an easy walk about 7 minutes away. Our room on the fourth floor was clean throughout and, whilst a little basic, suited our needs perfectly. Nice bonuses were the free wi-fi and that all guests receive a complementary travel card for the region valid for the duration of the stay.

The only minor complaint is that tea/coffee making facilities weren't provided in the room by default, although we were given a kettle and some mugs when we asked. We had brought our own supplies of tea anyway just in case and bought a bottle of milk from the supermarket to store in the fridge so it wasn't really an issue once we had the kettle provided but may be something to take note of if that is important for you. The roof beam in our room (410) drops very low into an area close to one side of the bed, wasn't an issue for myself personally but could potentially be an issue for somebody with reduced mobility.

I really liked the location of the hotel; it is right in the center. The most important thing is that there is parking nearby, which is free at night. I also liked that there is a lot around — it’s the city center and there are many restaurants, so you can take a walk. Everything is very convenient. The hotel itself offers breakfast, which is very good. The staff is friendly, and the hotel has an elevator, even though it’s a very old building. The rooms are nice, with a great view from the window. Overall, it’s an excellent hotel.

There are some aspects that I personally did not like very much. The mattresses were not very comfortable for me, and the bedding quality was not great either. I mean the synthetic blankets and pillows, which were not very comfortable. Another small downside was that my room was not cleaned very well. I kept finding other people’s black hairs both in the shower and on the floor of the room.

Historic beautiful exterior with lovely historic dining area. Modern rooms—we were upgraded to the suite with views in three directions, although we actually booked the family room desiring the curved windows but they were taken. One of the best breakfasts we have ever had on our euro trips to over 30 cities. Close five minute walk to train station and only one minute to either old town or bus stop. Free Bodensee travel card given too.

That the family rooms we booked were not available (but then they upgraded us to the suite, which was very nice)

The hotel is super nice with a personality. And the breakfast was very, very good.

Parking process was a bit messy for us, as we were arriving in the middle of the night. We were with a roof box, so the close underground parking advised by the hotel was not an option. After some searching, we found an open air parking down the street, maybe 700 meters away.

The hotel is located just at the entrance of the old town. It is an historic building which has been internally very well restructured. The lobby is illuminated by the original windows and has a modern design. The room is quite large, fully furnished also for longer stays. The breakfast is huge with all options. Staff very friendly and helpful

Compared to the rest the bathroom seems to be a little too small. But for us was not an issue at all

The old world charm, the location, the Breakfast bar. The Ferry being only 5 minutes away by foot and the Altstadt with many Restaurants and Public Transportation -Free with the complimentary Konstanz City Card- at your door steps.

Tight bathroom. No parking on site and the recommendation of the Altstadt Parkhaus. You pay max - €24.- for half day parking already while others were only a five minute walk away and charged you the full day after you actually park there a full day.

Great location, very friendly reception, quiet room, we could keep our windows open at night. Breakfast was a fabulous buffet, highly recommend it. There was a safe place inside the hotel to store our bikes. Close to walk to the Lake. We biked to Mainau Island, not far at all. Definitely recommend visiting the island. Gorgeous gardens and park.

Everything about it was great

The hotel is really well located (in the old part of the town and not too far from the Bodensee). The room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. Personally, the best part of my stay was breakfast: the breakfast buffet has a large selection of both sweet and savoury foods, warm and cold foods, as well as various baked goods. Great way to start the day!

Unfortunately, given that the building is quite old, the walls are very thin and noise from the corridor or the street carries really easily into the room.
