Loved the fact that my room had an attached washroom. It was a clean and warm room. Mattress was amazing and very comfortable to sleep.
No kitchen for heating food/drinking water or having a coffee with the room mates and chill in the hostel..would recommend to provide atleast a microwave and coffee/tea bags and some disposable utensils for residents in the sitting area.

I really loved the bedroom with bathroom inside of the room. The whole place is very nice.
Just missed shared kitchen, because Scotland is quite expensive for me and I would love to make my own food.

Great stay in a location that can't be beat. Spacious and naturally bright rooms with curtains on every bed (!!), lockers, a beautiful ensuite with big shower and shelving, and each bed had a lamp and power outlets. There's also a nice, clean common room, reliable WiFi, and a coffee dispenser downstairs which was appreciated. I stayed at a different hostel during my last visit to Glasgow and while both were cosy and comfortable, it was a much further walk from everything than Safestay was. This trip, I went to a show at the Kings Theatre and it was literally a 20 second walk from the door.
My bed (Room 201 Bed 6) wasn't super comfy as the mattress was quite worn. It also made loud noises when I shifted around or got into bed, which would have disturbed the other girls. I think some of the other beds had newer mattresses (had to feel the one below mine when I climbed under to search for my keycard that fell down lol)

The en-suite bathroom was appreciated
Non-Courtesy of other guests ((( but that's not the hostels fault . Wish other guests could just be a bit more considerate to other guests in the room. I experienced 1 guest who had a bad cold (may have been flu or covid for all I know) and snored heavily. Unfortunately this person was on the bunkbed above me and kept me awake most of the night and another guest kept using the main room light instead of the bed lamp provided. Guests should also realise other people in the room also need to use the bathroom, why and how does it take anyone to be in there for 1 hour is beyond me, and totally unacceptable. Stay in proper hotel if you need this. Totally inconsiderate.!

The location is great. Within the centre of Glasgow and a 10-15 minute walk to the two main train/bus station. Only a couple minute walk to Sauchiehall St, full of pubs, plenty of fast food, restuarants and big chained shops. The price was the highlight and it was warm, even in the winter. The bathrooms were clean as well
What's lacking compared to some hostels is an entertainment room, allthough there is a common area. Just with little amenities. 8 pound is a bit steep for a "continental breakfast" in my opinion so I never tried it. Some events would be nice. Carpets are a bit worn and dirty, could use with new ones The toilets should be equipped with a blow dryer if they are not going to provided any paper towels to dry your hands.

I really enjoyed the facilities having traveled around Scotland a lot, this is actually one of the best hostels I’ve visited. Really clean, fast service, nice people. I always choose to stay in a dorm with less beds (for example all female) and it’s super nice and spacious. The beds have curtains which is awesome after I’ve been to so many hostels that for some reason they have been removed. The one thing I didn’t like was that I had to pay £3,00 for storage. This is the first time I get charged for this, but the positive was that it was locked somewhere safe.

Convenient, close to the train station. Beds were comfy and easily accessible. Love the curtains and height of the bed, had great headroom. Individual plugs and light. Lounge was spacious and downstairs loos. WiFi was good. Tesco round the corner and laundrette at the petrol station. Right next to the King's theatre.
Paying for tea and coffee. Wrong to pay for luggage hold. Everything was extra. Got our booking wrong. Shower drain needs cleaning as blocked up. Tiles in my bathroom need updating as cracked and dangerous.

The the staff was great when we arrived. He made us very welcome. Answered all the questions I needed answered. Unfortunately I never asked his name. Then Harry the guy on during the night. Again was welcoming when we arrived back. In all very good great stay. Have stayed before and will continue to stay again and again
There wasn't really anything I didn't like. But it would of been good if we could of had another chair to use in the room while there as there was 3 of us. I know there was a communal hall. But we wanted to be in our room. I'm not saying you have to add another chair. But just a chair we could of used while there.

Very hospitable & responsive staff. Great location just a few minutes walk from Charing Cross Station, & a few more minutes (with a hill) to Central Station. Walking distance from Kelvingrove Gallery/Museum, Kelvingrove Park, Coop supermarket and many bars, restaurants (Baby Grand is great!) Beds are comfortable and private, with curtains & lockers (BYO lock). High ceilings & clean decor lines make the space feel big. The room I was in only had 6 people, with an ensuite, & there wasn’t even a wait to use the bathroom. If there was: there are extra toilets near Reception. Nice sized lounge with tables and chairs utilised by many people. Luggage storage was easy & secure.
There’s no kitchen, but you can use a kettle, cup & cutlery which the staff will wash for you.

Room was great, really large but still with lots of charm and nice view of the beautiful building opposite. We only had one night here on the way back to London, got in late and checked out early but the whole experience was great. Guy on the front desk was super nice and welcoming despite our very late check in. Was close enough to Glasgow central that we are able to walk. Bed was super comfy too so had a great sleep after a long travel day!
Shower was a little small and would be tricky to get into if you're a bigger person, and there was a bit of mildew in the grout etc. but everything else was super clean.
