Hotel Rohan is close to all major sights in Strasbourg, except of course the EU institutions which are 3 km from the city center. The hotel offers cold, filtered water for free 24/7. Wifi was good.

I stayed for 4 nights and only once experienced staff saying “bonjour” as I entered the hotel. You enter facing the reception - quite close - so it would be good manners to say “hello” or “bonjour”. I found it impossible to communicate with housekeeping since they didn’t understand any English. More than once they didn’t replace used items such as coffie and milk.

I had stayed there before so I knew it was going to be good. In fact, it was better: the elevator was larger! the breakfast spread also was much larger with a wonderful variety of tasty options; the staff very competent and helpful, taking time out to find answers to my questions. Their suggestions for restaurants in the neighborhood turned out to be excellent - local delicacies and reasonable prices. About the beds and bathrooms: Americans tend to want everything larger in France, especially beds and bathrooms. I can always tell that a review complaining about small sizes was written by an American. Although I'm a size 14-16, the facilities were comfortable and definitely not cramped or too small for me. The price per night incl. breakfast is definitely competitive, especially considering the location, so close to the cathedral and at least four museums.

Unfortunately, the hotel did not have control over the weather but they made up for it by loaning me a gigantic umbrella in a major down pour at dinner time.

We loved our stay at Le Rohan in Strasbourg! The location is perfect—right next to the cathedral and within easy walking distance to everything. Our room was perfect for two people, very clean, quiet, and air-conditioned, and it was refreshed daily to perfection. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel truly welcome. Breakfast each morning was delicious and a great start to the day. Absolutely a 5-star experience—we’ll definitely stay here again!

Welcoming reception staff who were always pleasant. Excellent location only a few steps from the cathedral and near lots of bars and restaurants. Room was a bit on the small size( called a comfort room on the description) but was OK. but the bathroom was a good size. We liked the fact that the radiator meant we could control heating manually and keep the bathroom warm. Kettle and coffee machine gave us a choice of drinks. Staff were more than happy to replenish coffee pods, tea bags and also provided fresh milk, with a choice of warm or cold. God wi-fi. Clean. Bed was large and very comfortable. Nice bar and reception areas.

Safety deposit box was broken, although we were given the option of storing valuables in the general safe. Water pressure in the shower was poor.

Just the perfect spot for being close to the main sights of Strasbourg. It is perfectly located in relation to the cathedral, yet surprisingly not at all noisy in our room. The staff were most obliging, the breakfast was ample, though I guess after a few days it might be nice to have some variation in the hot dishes for breakfast. Having said that, the next few places we stayed at only offered cold cuts and cheeses in the savoury department, so cannot complain. Incidentally, if you are a fan of flea markets, the Saturday market is just a couple of minutes walk from the back entrance to the hotel. There were lots of artisan food items on sale nearby too.

I booked this for the proximity to the Xmas markets and you cannot be disappointed with less than 50 meters!!! Hotel was great and the room perfect The price was very good compared to others around for and found it cheaper than some on the outside of the island Book it early or miss out Good staging post for day trips

Excellent location, central to all sight seeing and near to many restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean - would certainly return to stay if I went to Strasbourg again. Absolutely nothing to complain about. Excellent value for money.

Some people might be bothered by the cathedral bells but they did not bother me. The cafe in the hotel served only middle-eastern snacks, which was unexpected so I always chose to go elsewhere.

Good quality hotel right in the centre of Strasbourg. Clean, friendly staff, modern spacious lobby annex breakfast room. All good!

Be aware that the small double room is really small. If you're travelling alone, you can create more space by moving the bed to the side. Breakfast was good but a bit of variation could further improve the experience.

Location is on a street that leading to the Cathedral in about 150 meter. A lot of shops and eateries are around. It is clean, Elevator, water system and room condition are working well, despite that it is in an old building. Staff are all helpful and knowledgable on travel information and tried to go extra miles when answering questions, especially Jeffrey who spent extra effort to fix my cellphone and help me to find and book a tour.

The hotel has the best location. It is 5min from the cathedral and easy to walk to all the sights and shops. The rooms are a bit small but manageable. They are very clean. There is a small lift that is helpful if you are on the top floors. The beds are comfy and king size.

The breakfast was not that good.
