We loved everything about Priory Inn. There was a warm welcome from Rob when we arrived, and he helped take our bags to our rooms. The rooms were lovely - big, comfortable beds, pretty cushions and bed covers, a very generous tea/coffee selection with real coffee bags (normal and decaf) instead of the sad little instant sachets you usually get; two packs of biscuits, herb and breakfast teas. The shower was good, a non-slip mat provided, and the toiletries were of a good quality. We loved that they had glass flasks of water in a chiller by reception, so that you could always get cold water to drink. This seemed more environmentally friendly than providing plastic bottles. Towels were large and fluffy. Each room had an iron, ironing board, and hairdryer. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order and was very tasty. They catered for gluten free diets and could provide oat milk in place of dairy. We ate dinner at the hotel on our second night, and it was excellent - and there was a great choice. Staff were friendly and extremely professional. Becky deserves a mention here - she even remembered that one of us liked oat milk, was gluten free, and liked Earl Grey tea, and she was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Another thing we loved was the lavender and herb planting in the beer garden. It is very clear that Natalie and Matt have invested hugely in building this delightful hotel/restaurant/pub. It’s a real gem in a lovely part of the country. We would definitely stay again.

We love staying here. The staff are incredibly kind and friendly. The breakfast is delicious and everything is just the way you would want it. High quality teas & coffees in the very spacious room. It's the perfect location for Tetbury and the Cotswolds in general. I know from past experience that the food in the restaurant is exceptionally good as well.
The only slight downside for us was that they finished serving food at 3pm on Sunday, which is probably great for most people but we prefer to eat around 6. This seems to be the norm locally though for Sunday lunch & plenty of other good eateries to walk to locally, so it wasn't a major problem. When we have eaten their Sunday roast previously, it was absolutely delicious.

Fantastic location, Tetbury is magical. Priory Inn exceeded our expectations. Large room, very comfortable bed, exceptionally clean and well kept, iron and hairdryer was a bonus. Staff were welcoming, polite, attentive to detail, efficient, professional and went over and above to ensure we were comfortable and happy. We had two breakfasts and one evening meal. All were exceptional, great value for money, and freshly cooked. Inside dining areas are gorgeous, spacious and relaxing. Outside gardens and sitting areas are just beautiful. So pretty when lit up in the evening. We will definitely return as the whole experience was perfect.

Everything was great. The staff were attentive and friendly and did their utmost to make our stay enjoyable. The food was high quality, cooked to perfection, and presented well. There is a good drinks menu and lots of different gins to try. Nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom was a good size, and the bed was comfortable with good quality linen sheets and duvet cover. The location is perfect to get to see more of the cotswolds, and the town centre of Tetbury is within walking distance. Was great to have parking, too.
The only fault was that the bathroom was too cramped. Not big enough to accommodate a bath comfortably.also, no hooks for towels or robes.

great location and plenty of parking on site which was important for us. The main shopping areas started just around the corner, a very short walk away. the bar/ eating area was lovely, big open fire, lots of different seating. breakfasts were more than adequate with most ingredients sourced locally, really tasty fresh eggs. The bedroom was warm (we had to turn down the radiator) and there was no annoying air con, you can actually open the windows.
the bathrooms were small. but that's not something that could be changed. It's an old building, not a characterless new build!

We loved staying at the Priory, from the moment we arrived we were made very welcome. Natalie and her team were excellent and made sure we had everything we needed and nothing was too much trouble. It was extremely hot and Natalie found a fan to keep our young Grandson cool. The family room was ideal and our double room very comfortable and clean. The atmosphere made us feel right at home. We will be back!

Both Managers were excellent . Very personable , explained everything fully and so polite . Both of them where excellent at their jobs and you could tell staff had been taught properly and they were all very polite too. Room was spotless as was the whole of the public areas . Evening menu was excellent . Good choice at breakfast too. Compliments to the chef . All in all a very pleasant experience and one was made to feel most welcome . Thank you .
There was nothing we didn’t like .

Lovely staff. Good room, clean. Comfortable bed. Good tea, coffee supplies, nice biscuits, water etc. Good hot shower. Manager went the extra mile to help make sure I had extra fruit at breakfast to keep on track with Slimming World. Food in the restaurant is excellent, we have eaten here several times and this is why we decided to stay.
Shower design meant it was very hard to avoid flooding the bathroom. We had to use a towel and the bath mat to build a dam. At the back of the building the noise of glass bottles being binned was quite loud after closing time.

The whole establishment was beautiful. There’s an open pit fire in the centre of the pub which would be lovely in the winter. The interior of the pub is very rustic but has a modern touch on it. Rooms are nice enough with a comfy bed. We went at the height of the heatwave in July ‘25 and there was cold refillable bottles in the reception fridge for guests to use, also there was a fan in the room which helped a lot. Staff were very pleasant and welcoming :)

It's the 2nd time for us to stay at the Priory Inn and it was just as good as our previous stay. The hotel is situated in Tetbury and it's a great base to explore the Cotswolds. The National Arboretum is about 3 miles away and Highgrove is about a ten minute drive. On arrival at the hotel, reception may not be manned but just go through the bar there's always someone to help. The staff are really great here, nothing is too much trouble and they'll give you great ideas of where to visit. The bedrooms are clean, comfortable with ample towels and toiletries and a lovely selection of tea/coffee and biscuits. There is also an iron ironing board and hairdryer in the room. The food at this hotel is simply fabulous. We had Sunday lunch on this visit and it was just delicious. We both had the 2 meat selection, lamb and roast belly pork (the crackling was done to perfection), roast potatoes, roast carrots and beetroot and a huge Yorkshire filled with crispy kale and a little jug of gravy. It was all well seasoned, and piping hot. Breakfast is another delight with an excellent choice of hot meals and cereals and toast. We had the Full English, with perfectly poached eggs on sourdough bread, sausage, bacon, beans, tomato, mushroom and a hash brown. It's the quality of the produce that they use coupled with a great chef that makes this food so good All in all I would highly recommend the Priory Inn as a lovely place to stay with excellent food we'll certainly be returning
