We had an amazing 5-night stay at Hotel Rural Brícia Du Mar in Ferragudo from July 26 to 31. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way — peaceful, charming, and very well maintained. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and beautifully decorated with a modern yet rustic touch. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, always greeting us with a smile and ready to assist with anything we needed. The location was ideal — just a short drive from the beach and local restaurants, yet quiet enough to relax away from the crowds. The pool area was a highlight: clean, serene, and perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the Algarve. Breakfast was delicious and varied every morning, featuring fresh local products and a relaxed atmosphere. We especially loved the attention to detail across the hotel — everything felt personal and thoughtfully arranged. Highly recommend this hidden gem for anyone looking for a relaxing and authentic Algarve experience. We will definitely return!

Both the staff and facilities were excellent. The gym and spa were great - we both had treatments in the latter carried out by the very professional staff. We had a pool facing room, which meant we were able to walk a few meters outside, and either sit on our patio area or lie on a sun bed in the leisure area surrounding the pool. Very convenient for popping back and forth to our room. We ate a couple of nights in the hotel restaurant. The quality was quite good and the prices, reasonable.

Echoing some other people’s comments… often the pool area music got overly loud, and was somewhat inappropriate ‘club dance’ oriented. At one point we had music through both the hotel PA system and a different genre from the poolside bar, at which point one of the other guests got up and pointed the speaker up in the air to reduce the noise. If you’re trying to read or relax you don’t need heavy bass, club music. That should be addressed. The dividing walls were not well soundproofed. We were fortunate to have an end room with no neighbours, so pretty quiet until the last night. When the next room did become occupied we could hear their conversations, which was a pity as the rooms themselves were very nice and well appointed. The kitchen area was particularly useful.

This is a new (2021) complex on a hill about 1 mile out of Ferragudo. Everything is brand new, and it is a very tranquil setting – the rooms all look out on a beautiful grassy lounge area under palm trees, with a large & small pool and bar. Did I mention it is tranquil!? The rooms are average size with all the modern amenities. The bathroom was a bit small, but well organized. The staff are exceptionally helpful, friendly, and most speak very good English…we had a couple of special requests and Victoria and Matheus went above and beyond with courtesy and professionalism!! The Breakfast is standard and freshly prepared, with several additions (e.g. sautee’d mushrooms, stewed tomatoes, sausage, beans). The best we’ve had in our 4 weeks all over Portugal! The big deal: Parking is free, with a garage and also outdoor parking, and the spaces are quite generously sized…thank you! Wifi/internet was good

Nothing…it was all excellent!

The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk to the Praia grande beach and bars and another few minutes to the restaurants in the square. The grounds are beautifully kept and the rooms clean and functional. Love you have a fridge and a kettle! We were greeted at breakfast by the lovely friendly Marco who was super kind to everyone and explained how breakfast works. It was buffet style with enough variety for most palettes, we didn’t eat in the other restaurants so can’t comment. We’ve always air only stayed 2 nights but all in all a great stay.

The entire stay far exceeded all of our expectations!! The employees are all extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating! The rooms are extremely spacious and very clean. The kitchenette is perfectly equipped. On our last evening we ate in the restaurant - excellent service and super tasty dishes! The location is also amazing - walking distance to three stunning beaches and also the cute town Ferragudo is just 10 min away. We had a blast and will definitely come back!! I loved this hotel! Beautiful property. I really love the layout of the rooms and the property in general. The rooms were clean and spacious. They had everything you needed in the room. I love the patios in front of the rooms, great for eating breakfast. The pool always had chairs for us to lounge on and the pool was great! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food and drinks at the pool bar were good too! Overall great!!

I wish breakfast was opened until at least 11:30am. People are on vacation and it’s not reasonable to expect them to be up so early. Pictures of the food at the pool bar. I didn’t realize the chicken sandwich was chicken salad not chicken cutlet.

This is a beautiful hotel with an excellent restaurant. We loved the patio outside our door, even though we didn’t use it much because the weather was a little cool. Same can be said for the pool, which was cold (we were there the end of February!). The bed was comfy, pillows were great, and the staff were particularly helpful. Parking was outside, but felt secure.

The bathroom was ridiculously small. The location is a bit far from the beach and Ferragudo, but if you have a car, it shouldn’t be a problem.

Well supplied and excellent choice breakfast, for those who do not like pot coffee machines the breakfast personnel were happy to make professional espressos free of charge, much recommended. Fantastic pool area, excellent underground parking garage.

Beds were rock-hard, we did experience some back/shoulder pains due to this. Bathrooms do not have a window, although the hotel is still new(2 years old) there is a definite whiff of mold whenever the fan has been off for a period of time. This is unfortunate since the fans are driven by the keycard being in the slot for electricity ie as soon as you take that with you, the fan in the bathroom shuts down.

Absolutely beautiful. So relaxing and the perfect spot to unwind. We stayed for 10 days and spent our time round the pool and walking into Ferragudo to explore it's beauty. The restaurant on site has an amazing variety and the food was delicious. We shall definitely be back. I had two massages and a facial in the spa which was one of the best I have ever been to. Such a fantastic experience. The comfy bed was incredible and the cleaners and staff were all so friendly. Can't wait to return!

Breakfast was poor, hot option cold 😞. Breakfast Room way too small for the amount of guests, had to queue some days, then very busy when inside no room between the tables. Pool bar closed 3 days out of the 5 we stayed....... Couldn't get a lunchtime snack, beer or cocktail.
