We booked Flora House due to it's location to the Denver Botanical Gardens as we were attending a wedding there. It is a 15 minute walk from the Botanical gardens and not far to downtown Denver. At the end of the road is the acclaimed Pete's Diner if you want lunch or more than the very nice continental breakfast on offer at Flora House. A block away is the acclaimed Liks Ice Cream. It is a beautifully converted Victorian house with a large open plan breakfast and lounge area downstairs. We stayed in the Iris Suite which was at the top of the house and really lovely with a very big and comfortable king sized bed, ensuite shower room, lounge and kitchen area and a separate single room off to the side. Despite being in town it was very quiet. We had a hire car and were able to park in the drive/car park but if it had been full, there was plenty of space on the street for free and safe parking. Dusty and Nicky were amazing hosts - really welcoming and helpful. Dusty also gave us a code for free tickets into the Botanical Gardens for a visit before the wedding. If we go back to Denver we will definitely stay there again!

We stayed for two nights at this lovely guesthouse. Our room (Stargazing) was very spacious and has a beautiful ceiling! As a self-checkin hotel, we received all the necessary information in advance, so we could directly go to our room. The breakfast was really nice and comes with fresh berries and fruits, cereals (they even had plain oat flakes) cake and bread. Everyday, they provide also a special dish. The neighborhood was to us a little suspicious. Although, the owner assured us it was save to go out, even at night. There are some restaurants just close by. If there was something to complain about this lovely place then the fact that the AC couldn’t be handled by the guests. It was set to 70° and blew 24 hours.

The house was charming and our rooms were beautiful and nicely updated. The layouts of the rooms we were in were perfect for our large family. The patio area was very nice and we loved having access to the hot tub. Off street parking was nice. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Stairs and floors were very creaky (to be expected in a house this old), so when our upstairs neighbor came in late at night we were woken up by them moving around their room. Earplugs and a sound machine were provided to help with noise however.

When we arrived at the lovely old mansion from the 19th century we had a warm and friendly welcome. The house is perfectly refurbished and furnished. Every detail in this house is fine and suitable. We used the private car park at the front. To our surprise we got an upgrade for a suite which we loved and enjoyed so much. It was a quiet stay close to the col fax mainstreet. There you can find restaurants, cafes or bars. In the evening you can go out for a drink on foot. We really enjoyed the hearty breakfast in a bright room which never was crowded or loud. After we entered the house we used to remove our shoes as requested. In summary a fantastic stay for which we say "Thank you very much"

No complaints!

I loved staying at Flora house. It was like staying at home with lots of perks! Breakfast, shared large outdoor space, snacks, tea, yoga mats and nice hosts. The beds were very comfortable. I loved the neighborhood and walked around a lot- coffee shops, Cheseman park, Botanical Gardens etc.

The only thing I would prefer was a bit less heat. I just opened the window so it was fine just the baseline was a bit hot for me.

Me and my friend booked flora house for our stay while visiting Denver to catch a concert at red rocks and let me tell you this place was beyond perfect! The stay itself is so cute and comfortable, all the little touches around the place truly made it spectacular! They’re also right across from a bar that does shuttle pick up/drop off for red rocks!

It is an old building so you do hear creaking in the floors but as far as noise control it’s actually pretty good!

We stayed at the Flora House for just one night and wish it had been longer! Every room of the house, from the dining and lounge areas to the bedrooms, are decorated with such elegance and intention. I was especially impressed by the additional services offered, such as s’mores supplies and pre-packed picnic baskets. I’d love to stay here again and take advantage of these extras. Highly recommend this home for a couple seeking a romantic getaway

Flora House is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, it's evident that the owner has poured their heart and soul into every detail. The Orchid Suite, where we stayed, was not only beautiful but incredibly comfortable, providing the perfect retreat after a long day. The hot tub was an absolute highlight, offering a luxurious way to unwind and relax. Jen and the staff were incredibly kind and went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic stay, offering wonderful options and extras that truly elevated our experience. It was a delightful getaway that left us feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Flora House is definitely a place we'll be returning to again and again.

Absolutely nothing was undesirable!

Flora House rooms are cozy and quiet, and have comfy beds and pillows, and updated fixtures. The common area is wonderful to hang out in, not cold or echoey like similar B&B's in Denver.

We experienced a snafu in communication between Bookings.com and the Flora House, so that our door codes expired one night/day early and locked us out. The Flora House folks were super responsive and gave us alternative door codes, so all ended well.

Definitely a nice B&B close to lots of green area, the Botanical Gardens, shopping and restaurants. We would definitely stay again. I had stitches so couldn’t enjoy the hot tub and s’mores on the patio but just another reason to come back. We liked that there were yoga mats for use in our room. We didn’t get to try the breakfast but I’m sure it was wonderful.

The property was great, it is a little close to Colfax and some homeless asked us for money but the property can’t help that!
