I live in Capitol Hill; just about 7 minutes away from The Holiday Chalet Hotel. When I was “in between” places I would stay here quite regularly . From the very first moment I walked in this place, It felt like home. The staff is amazing. The place is always clean and comfortable. When reading the other reviews of this establishment, a common thing I see is that people seem to find the address to be a bit unsavory (Colfax Ave). I find that it only adds to the charm of this fascinating place. The house has a very interesting and rich history; one which I encourage anyone who is reading this review to read about (I’ll include a link at the bottom). Colfax Avenue was quite a fashionable address when this house (originally, a single-family home) was built. This is NOT just a building or a structure. It is a living breathing thing with a rich, and beautiful history; this is something that can be felt as soon as you walk through the doors. My point is, I now have an apartment close by, but I still come here a couple of days out of the month just because I LOVE it here SO MUCH. For anyone who is planning a trip to Denver, be it for business or pleasure, I IMPLORE YOU to try The Holiday Chalet Hotel. Every room is unique and charming its own way, with every detail perfectly thought out. Located in the rich and diverse Cap Hill neighborhood and just a short walk from downtown Denver, The Holiday Chalet Hotel is perfectly situated if you ask me. You will NOT get More Bang for Your Buck ANYWHERE else nor will you get the charm and lack of pretense this place has to offer. FYI- The Chalet welcomes all well-behaved pets! My cat, Emily May, also loves this place.

I have ZERO complaints about this property!

TV remote was easy. Shower and surroundings were immaculate. Comfy bed and pillows. Curtains blocked all unwanted light. I found the room pleasantly un-modernized. Temperature controls easy .

Sketchy non-customers loitering outside upon my arrival. Information necessary for entry not provided prior to arrival. Kids downstairs couldn't help. Received email after I left message, no return call stating email sent. No on-site assistance. I'd stay again now I know how it operates.

It's really cute! A true Victorian mansion with authentic details. Even has a really nice garden next to it. The reading nook was a very nice touch. The staff were very kind and let us put our bags in the basement until we could check in so we could walk around the city.

The neighborhood is a bit sketchy, although the location itself is fine. It was hard to find good parking at first, but no big deal. The front door was a bit tricky (just a note: push, then pull once you put your code in).

The Holiday Chalet is a hidden gem. The suites are really cool . . . old Victorian styles. High ceilings. Gorgeous decor. This is right on Colfax. Easy access. Plenty of on-street parking. We will be back.

There is no front desk, but you get a code for entry that works for the external door and your room door at check-in. That was a little surprised, but it worked out just fine.

I liked the location- It was close to the Colfax Marathon; this allowed us to walk from the race to Chalet after it concluded. It was a cute suite with a kitchen. We had a sunroom upfront for viewing and relaxing. Denver has a substantial unhoused problem like many cities, which created a lot of foot traffic, but we did not have any issues with anyone. This neighborhood is within walking distance of many unique restaurants and stores.

We really enjoyed our stay! The place has a more old-fashioned vibe, so if you’re expecting something grand, it might not meet your expectations. However, it was exactly what we needed, and we liked it a lot. The host was amazing—very kind, helpful, and always quick to respond. He really went out of his way to assist us. Would definitely recommend!

The awesome mobile only deal for 44% off the regular price was a hands down bargain to say the least. We had been wanting to stay here for awhile now and the mobile only deal sealed the deal while we were looking for a new place to stay for the night. I was sent very detailed check-in and parking information via text and email, which was extremely useful, especially since the staff were gone for the evening upon our arrival.

The room was clean for the most part, although our bedding had a distinct not so fresh scent to it.

LOVED the room. Staff does an amazing job. LOVED how easy it was to get in. No check-in process; simply an e-mailed code. Phenomenal! Everything was well thought out and I’m an instant fan of this hotel. I will definitely be staying here again.

The location of the hotel is on a shady street in a shady part of town, but that’s not something the hotel can control. The only possible criticism I can come up with is the door to my suite (Albert). It took a little bit of strength to open/close the door as it appears as though it’s been painted multiple times over the years and it sticks. But that’s it! Everything else was perfect!!

it was kitty-korner from the shuttle pick-up spot for a concert @ redrocks. I was able to park on High St & hang put at a coffee shop until check in. A little issue with the room door was quickly addressed by an on-site staff person, the bathroom was perfectly functional so I was able to prep in about an hour then go meet my friend & head to the show. The walk back after was easy and i slept well.

The 4pm check-in time was cutting it a little close, but it all worked out fine.

This is my absolute FAVORITE hotel in Denver… possibly my favorite hotel ANYWHERE! You ABSOLUTELY CANNOT beat the price for what walk into here. What a JEWEL this place is. As far as the aesthetic, EVERY LITTLE detail is so perfectly thought out! I have had the pleasure of staying in several of the rooms and each one is just perfect in its own way. All the beds, this far, have been SUPER comfortable. I just feel right at home when I’m at Chalet!
