15 minute walk down to the esplanade, shopping centre and tourist attractions. The property also has a restaurant attached, the Empire Grill, very expensive up market place but residents of Admiralty Inn get a 15% discount. We didn’t use it. There is a great pub, the Elephant & Castle, less than 10 mins walk up the road from the motel, specials on some nights and half size meals for seniors. Highly recommend that one!
Windows needed a good clean. The fridge defrosted and left a puddle of water on the bottom. Window looked out onto a path and garden area which was totally overgrown and untidy. They could make this area very accessible if was tidied up. The TV was far too high up the wall, gave us a pain in the neck to watch it.

Very accommodating manager.Rooms Very clean practical and affordable everything you need for a great few days stay Comfortable enough and very affordable. Good value for money amazing central location restaurant smells amazing. You must try it next time. Plenty of public transport nearby. Free breakfast at the church across the road 365 days a year. We'll definitely stay here again many times
Housekeeping entered my room early hours of the morning despite me having my do not disturb card on the door.. also had no car park accessible to my room. That's okay as I don't have a car. A little bit noisy but, nothing major

Directions for room entry provided via sms whilst travelling to site from Melbourne and proved to be spot on. ease of key access -perfect . staff very professional and friendly. room warm, comfortable and car park right out front for ease of load and unload golf clubs. must be about my fourth stay at this motel and i will certainly stay here again.
fridge in room could have functioned better, milk froze in fridge, turned it down and it seemed to perform better. maybe previous tenant mischievously turned it to full freeze mode.

James our host was lovely he asked if we needed anything else told us about booking dinner in the restaurant attached to the building which by the way is ten our of ten for quality the meals are superb. We are happy with our stay and highly recommend it to everyone. It's very quiet even the front room . It's also close to the Geelong football oval and the ciry. Oh and it has room service. You can order that cold beer or wine after a long drive.
We had to leave we wish we could have stayed longer but next time

My room was clean and had everything in it, enough for a single occupant for the entire time of my stay. It was near the main road with just a ten or maybe fifteen minute walk to town but also not far from the bus stop.
There was a bit of road noise, Mc Killop Street is very busy and there was an ambulance and fire station nearby, but, I found you did get used to it. Also, the train station was nearby too, sometimes you heard the odd train but being from Melbourne I am no stranger to traffic noise. Since my last visit here, many years ago, the motel has aged somewhat and in places does show it. The shower stall in places was looking old and parts of the room, bench top where you put your tray looked a little worse for wear.

The receptionists were all kind and attentive. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with lots of amenities. Parking was convenient and included in the price. I swam in the small outdoor pool which was nice.
There were a few accessibility issues. I didn't see any indication on their page that half the rooms are upstairs and there's no elevators. There is no nonslip mat in the bathroom and there's a little slant between the bathroom and the hallway which could cause some trouble for people with mobility issues. The pool doesn't have a handrail for the stairs and the doors sometimes need an extra push. Other than that, it was good! It would be nice to have a streaming service or on demand option for the TV, and despite a huge information packet in my room I couldn't find instructions on how to check out (you just drop your key in the box - so easy!) But overall very good.

Pros: + Value for money (when I booked around Christmas) + Close to city amenities. I didn't have a car so had to walk a bit. Otherwise its close to the pier. + Room was fairly clean. Why fairly? Check the cons section. + Bedding and pillows were nice and clean.
Cons: + Room had quite a strong smell of bleach. Took sometime to get used to it. Some may find it irritating. + The toilet was clean but we find some insects coming out. The shelf did contain an insect killer like it was expected. So be careful if you have children.

The staff were all lovely. We were a bit early to check in but we could store our items in the room. The bed was very soft and the shower wasn’t the most powerful but that was minor. The toaster and microwave in the room were really handy. Would stay again if we’re ever in Geelong in the future.

We chose Admiralty Inn because of the location to the CBD of Geelong and to the Port for boarding The Spirit of Tasmania. The room had everything you needed for a one night's stay and was great for a walk into town on the night, although the Inn did have it's own restaurant if you had wanted to eat there. We were located in the far corner of the Inn, which was quiet and away from the road noise of the main road outside.
Nothing.
