The location is convenient, easy to get by car. From the hotel you can walk through the marvelous village or Arbanasi. The architecture fits the region. Good restaurant and facilities like pool, sauna.

There can be private events in the restaurant so ask for rooms not close to that area if you come during weekend.

It was a pleasant 3 days stay, especially thanks to the staff who made us fell very welcome. The hotel is situated in a beautiful garden and the swimming pool is very nice. The breakfast is basic but OK.

The hotel is not a 4* for sure. The bed was not comfortable and in the bathroom the shower was on a wall, no bathtub or even a small tub. A little more attention to cleanliness would be advisable.

For the price, fitness and spa center and breakfast, we couldn't be happier! We saw all the negative reviews and decided to look at a room for ourselves before booking, and found the double room to be clean, spacious and comfortable. I'm sure people's experiences vary, but in general I think people giving such bad reviews aren't doing their research. No, it's not a 4star hotel and off-season it will be understaffed and some lights turned off. But for us it was a strong 3star and ALL the staff went above and beyond for us at every turn. We quite enjoyed the breakfast and spa. If there aren't a lot of other guests, you may need to give them 30m-1h warning before you want to use the spa. And if, like us, you cant figure out the coffee machine, don't worry! The power button is on the back towards the top 😂 also about the dirt road leading to the hotel, dont listen to Google maps, look at the map yourself and you will see there is a normal road leading into the grounds.

We might have complaints about small things if we overpaid or didn't look more carefully at pictures and reviews. But on booking we got a great deal, and the normal price isn't crazy high for 2 people, considering it's full package. Our shower head and holder were broken (room 202) but we didn't feel the need to bother anyone about it. It still worked fine and always hot. Something foreigners might not know about Bulgaria, "wet room" bathrooms meaning showers without cabin or curtain are common at all price levels. As are small 1-person blankets, even on a double bed. So if you're a couple, you will both have a small blanket instead of sharing a large one, and they can be small for bigger people.

Food. Breakfast had few choices, and what was offered was not good.

The Rachev Hotel Residence truly felt like a peaceful oasis, surrounded by lush greenery and stunning natural beauty. The crisp, clean air was so refreshing, and the tranquil forest just steps away made for the perfect getaway. The on-site restaurant served up absolutely delicious meals, and we loved exploring the grounds and taking leisurely walks through the trees. It was exactly the rejuvenating break I needed, and I can't wait to return soon. If you're looking for a serene escape in the heart of beautiful Bulgaria, I couldn't recommend the Rachev Hotel Residence more highly.

Nothing everything was perfect!

We stayed for a night, it is a nice location for a summer week-end. Big pool, we really enjoyed it, big garden and restaurant. The triple room is large and comfy, not modern, but ok.

The menu at the restaurant is limited, not much to choose from. The breakfast is not great and if it is crowded, you have to hurry to get something. Overall a good weekend getaway.

Location, quiet, swimming pool, proximity to Veliko Tarnovo

The extra bed was not comfortable having a mattress that felt springy and the shower didn't have a tub or even a rim to hold the water, so the whole bathroom got wet. They didn't have a rug at the entrance to the bathroom and we had to take the rug from the entrance to the room so as not to get the floor of the room wet. The next day, they brought us a bath mat.

Is like a resort where you have a pool, restaurant and bar. The rooms are very nice and clean, the pool is big and clean, the food is good and the personal is very lovely. Plenty of parking spaces near the hotel. I recommend this location.

The location is great and really easy to find. There is a private parking at the property. The rooms are well furnished however the towels were a bit old and not of the best quality. We enjoyed the breakfast and the food we ordered for dinner was very good.

The staff at the reception was quite unhelpful, we had a problem with the TV the first day and the answer we got after flagging it was “it’s because of the weather”. However, it was fixed the second day after raising the issue again. We were quite disappointed that our room did not have a balcony and there were tall bushes in front of our window so there was no daylight in the room. The towels and bed sheets were quite worn out.

The facilities are very good, with the rooms rising to our expectations. The complex also has an interior court with tables, trees & the pool, and you can just hang out outside to relax. The restaurant provides enough options & the breakfast was good. They are also accepting pets and we were happy to be able to bring also our dog on the trip.

It would be nice for the bathroom to have a shower cabin instead of all open space with all the facilities from the bathroom.
