The staff was very friendly and gave me directions and recommendations. Overall, everything was super clean and organized. It was my first hostel experience, but they made it easy for me. The breakfast is alright but the view you see and the people you meet while you eat it are lovely. The big hill it’s on is a pretty challenging hike, but it’s worth it for the views and helps you burn off all the cheese you eat in old town Annecy.

The beds and pillows were pretty uncomfortable, but I didn’t expect a lot of comfort from an affordable hostel, so I wasn’t disappointed. There also weren’t really any power outlets located right beside the beds, so it was difficult to relax in my bed and use my phone when it was charging.

Beautiful view, beds were super comfy, and unlike most hostels, this one had some sort of screen that actually completely blocked the light, which I really appreciated. There's an outdoor eating space, perfect for enjoying the view of the lake while you have your breakfast. Never had a hostel with such a nice view.

No wifi other than in the common areas, which isn't the worst, but I'd never seen that before. It's located on top of a hill, so you get a good workout to get home each night (or take the bus up), but on the flip side you get a super nice view of the lake.

October 2024 I absolutely loved walking down the hill to get to the lake just listening to music and vibing. There is a bus station directly in front of the hostel also named after it. The air up there is something else! Super fresh! As a vegan the breakfast options were pretty okay. Pretty clean overall especially the bathrooms!

NO LOCKERS ! There are just drawers under the bed like the Ikea ones. Thankfully nothing happened but it would have been nice to have one. There are very small ones for locking stuff away but mine was broken. The steep Hill can be exhausting especially if you're carrying heavy things. The faucets need to be fixed.

There is No WiFi in the rooms, only in the Common area. Located on a hill so it's a bit exhausting to Walk but manageable for sure!

I liked the style of the bed (even though I bumped my head) because even if it doesn't have curtains it still gives a little privacy. I particularly like the coffee machine at breakfast because it gives variety of options, there's also one accessible 24/7 in the main hall where you have to put money in.

The hostel is a 25-30 mins walk from old town/station, expect hilly climbs or steps, the "short cut" way to reach the hostel through residential area is steep. The pillow needs updating, wifi is only available in the main hall & in the library, for some reason the shower in our room stinks like urine.

Cheap but confortable environment to stay. Very helpful for a solo traveler. Kitchen is useful, but there is no shared ingredients so you need to have them on your own. Facilities are basic but useful enough. Beds are confortable. Nice people around. Walkable from tourist spots but located on a steep hill.

The shower is very poor quality… water is not very warm.

Cozy and nice hostel, I like the fact it's near a forest. You can have breakfast with a nice view of the mountains and the lake, but the breakfast provided by the hostel is not very good so I'd suggest you make your own at the kitchen. The hostel is clean and has good infrastructure, the staff is pretty friendly as well. A good place to stay, would come back.

The bathrooms could improve. The toilets are separated from the showers and there's no sink in the toilet room, so after you've "done your thing" you have to walk back to your room or somewhere else to wash your hands. The shower itself is just acceptable, I don't like the fact you have to keep pushing a button to have some water and also doesn't have temperature regulation (but it is warm so is comfortable and okay).

Though not in the immediate centre of the city, I found the hostel to be in a lovely quiet area with great views east over the lake and to the mountains rising above, from where I could watch hot air balloons drift across high above the lake, as the sun also began to appear. The kitchen cooking facilities were very good as was breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. The four-bed dormitory, which had an ensuite, felt a little cramped but the beds were comfy and everything was tidy and clean. I would have no hesitation in staying in this hostel if I am again in Annecy.

The location is a bit tricky. Buses cut early in the afternoon and getting there by walk take some effort (really stiff hills)

Great location with a fantastic view, lovely people and facilities. Comfortable beds, lounging areas and round the clock security. Really good value for money especially in such a pricey place like Annecy. Recommend this place.

The pillows were not great and need changing, there is no air conditioning in the rooms so can get quite hot especially with other people there. No sinks in the toilets and no soap in the rooms (where the sinks are). Showers are fixed to the wall and only have one temperature setting. (These are only minor details though, which didn't have much effect on our trip). Wifi did not work in room.
