The bed was comfy and there were spare pillows available. Tea, coffee and milk provided in the room as well as a microwave and fridge which is something I would expect in a motel. The staff were friendly and would say hi when they saw you.

As my husband is 6'4" he had a little difficulty with the shower and toilet especially as the toilet floor was raised but he managed fine as he usually does with his height.

The motel was well situated and easy to find. Close to Caroline Bay and main Street.

The unit we had is more suited to a single traveler only staying one night. The bathroom/toilet area was so small you couldn't swing a cat or even yourself. The biggest problem we had was the internet. You would be in the middle of doing something and next you were offline. I don’t know if this was the same throughout the complex but certainly was in Unit 10

We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom unit which was much appreciated from the 1 bedroom room we had booked. No extra charged. Loved being able to have the dogs in the room with us. Room had everything we needed.

Overall we were really happy with the room, the service, the location, nothing unlikeable to report.

Wouldnt change anything... we didnt care about the view...we just wanted somewhere nice and quiet to chill out after our long drive from Picton. and we got just that... your welcoming staff were so friendly and helpful... I location was perfect...only a very short drive to the city centre and the other way to places like Pak n Save and Countdown.... Thank you so much Anchor Inn... we are difinately staying again.

Lovely place in a great location. Down from CHCH for the weekend and was greeted by friendly professional staff. Easy and quick access to the room with easy parking as requested. The room had what was promised and was well stocked with amenities.

The two things that could have made the stay better were 1. the main door was all fogged glass which was great for light during the day but at night it made it very hard to sleep with the outside light shining through all night. We were able to cover the majority with chairs and clothes, however, a curtain on the door would have been nice. 2. On Night two when I had a shower, I found the shower did not get very hot. The water pressure was low which I can work with but the very lukewarm water was a bit surprising.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Rooms were comfortable and basic but with the option to cook a meal with an electric hob. Location was convenient

Limited parking with someone using our designated carpark leaving us without one. Was a very busy stay with lots of people coming and going do noisy at times

Clean, tidy, comfortable beds. Lovely friendly staff with great knowledge about the fun stuff to do in the area

When the neighbours turned water on there was a massive noise in our room. It woke us up several times in the night. Noise from the road wasn’t great but that’s what you get on a main road so not the motels fault.

Motel was perfect for what we needed between trips on the boat , staff were super friendly and helpful and able to accommodate extra days we needed

The bathroom was to small and shower was not overly good could do with better shower head and pressure

I liked how room was heated ready for my arrival. Electric blanket was a bonus on a cold night too!

Road noise, but I am aware that all hotels on main street of Timaru have this issue with the boy racers and so putting earplugs in mediated that issue.
