The staff were lovely. We got lost , so we phoned the hotel and the two girls very kindly helped us. She used her satnav and she directed us straight to the door. The food in the Maridien was perfect. Location was perfect for us
Wanted a shower at 5pm and the water was cold. Even the water in the sink taps was lukewarm. The old window frames let in a draught in so many places, and i was cold. If i stayed here again in the winter I would just make sure i had a heavy jumper. And pick a different time for a shower. The water was very warm in the morning

The location was perfect, Close to everything in the town. The room, while a little dated was very clean and very comfortable . The staff were excellent, extremely nice and beyond helpful. The WIFI didn't work when we first moved into the room but as soon as I notified the staff they were on it and it was fixed and super fast the next day.
The room was too warm when the weather got warmer. Could have done with a fan. I felt the bed was a little uncomfortable but that's just me.

The location was great right next to everything we needed. Beds were sooo comfortable. Staff were lovely and so friendly went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed and were comfortable.
The room was lovely and traditional which we loved. Only thing was the lighten when doing makeup and we’re no where really suited to sit and get ready. The room was really warm during the night and radiator couldn’t be turned off.. struggled to sleep due to the heat, but this was the only down sides everything else was perfect.

The Ayr and Galloway hotel offers a pleasant stay in their comfortable hotel rooms. Our room was spotless, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. There was plenty of hot water for a relaxing shower. The staff were friendly and always ready to assist. The dining experience was tasty,.filling, with hearty bar food options available..we had a nice stay and would stay again.
Very pricey due to Ayr Races and we stayed for businesses.

The staff were fantastic. Helpful and friendly. The hotel has a nice air of traditional Scottish hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable and carefully modernised.
Sadly I got a room with a noisy neighbour that liked to make midnight phone calls. However, didn't hear anyone else in the corridor, so really I feel it was more the fault of the individual than the hotel.

Hotel is in a great location only 2 minutes from the train station. The cleanliness of the hotel is to a very high standard the bedding is immaculate. Very good variety for breakfast the full Scottish breakfast was excellent. Although if we were staying longer would have liked a choice of continental breakfast included on menu.
The mattress was a bit too hard

Staff that I met on arrival were very friendly and looked after me as I had travelled up from North Wales for a concert. Other choir members were staying at various different hotels in Ayr. On leaving the hotel the receptionist was apologising to me me about the noise from the young farmers on my arrival however I said they didn't bother me and if I wasn't so tired from my journey I would have happily joined in with them. Would definitely visit Ayr again
No complaints

The staff were really friendly, it was chilled out with old school vibes. Lovely meal and a drink, friendly people. The room had everything you need, I slept well. V helpful to have a dedicated motorbike parking place at the back of the hotel. The Meridian place next door did a great breakfast. The WiFi worked.
There was loud music from another nearby pub, but it stopped at midnight.

The room was clean, a good size and had everything we needed. The staff were great, particularly as I left my phone behind and it was posted back to me - thank you! We felt the room was very good value for money and although we didn’t have breakfast, we had a couple of drinks in the bar which was very friendly.
There was a lot of noise from outside at pub closing time. As it was a very warm evening, we had the windows open so it would have been quieter if we had closed them. We had trouble finding the car park so it might be worth giving the road name on your details, particularly as the postcode takes you to the front of the hotel and you can’t turn left to get to the car park as it’s a one-way street.
