The hotel is a lovely old building that has been updated for comfort without spoiling its character or making it unaffordable. It has a friendly, unpretentious, family orientation. The bistro has plenty of choices to meet most tastes. There are numerous pleasant smaller rooms for a quiet drink, a tv lounge for guests as well as our clean, roomy, unfussy and comfortable room. The bistro was thankfully NOT NOISY and the location in beautiful Wentworth Falls excellent. It was quiet in our room despite being located on the main road.

We like the vibe especially since it was built in 1800s and yet was properly maintained. Although there was no toilet in our room, we were fortunate that it seems we were the only guests using the shared bathroom. Also, we were allowed to extend our check out time to 11am

The info that we do not have toilet inside our room was in fine print so we just learned about this upon arrival. My understanding of shared bathroom was for our room given that there are 4 of us sharing the room. It was inconvenient going to the toilet esp in the wee hours of the day.

The cleanliness, comfort and tv room upstairs were lovely. Somewhere to relax and watch a big screen, without disturbing other guests.

I did not know that ensuite rooms were available and when I booked was given a small room without ensuite and had to use main bathroom. We were located next door, but still had to carry clothes etc and go out of our room to main bathroom. I would have preferred an ensuite room if I had known about it for convenience.

Lovely bathroom and a good sized bed, reasonably sound proof (though I am a good sleeper so not the best judge), and selection of teas and even some books available in a little library area. Across the road to some lovely cafes and the train station.

A little hard to find staff and how to get in - go around to the steps so you don't have to go through the restaurant. Also, you have to lug your luggage up stairs but the staff do offer to help.

Grand old hotel! Loved the idea of staying above the dining area. All very convenient. Unfortunately I didn’t notice it was a double bed when I booked, and found it very small to sleep in. Bathroom was very nice. Staff lovely, considering we checked in, in the middle of Mother’s Day and extremely busy.

The small double bed. We had dinner as well and didn’t like the positioning of our table. In an alcove and one of us had to sit with our back to main dining area, and all I could see was the window looking out to darkness. Great food however.

Character, convenience, appointments, quiet, generous room with new ensuite. Good restaurant for dinner.

Cavity wall vents pushed old dust into room when very windy outside. Also a cold draft from them, (tho’ aircon still kept room comfy.). Suspect that other rooms with windows facing Great Western H’way traffic would be noisy. Ours was quiet. The non-ensuite rooms have original pub’s shared bathrooms which are v clean but not renovated.

The bed was still equipped for winter with a (very uncomfortable) electric blanket and a doona even though it was the height of summer. (They were removed after we requested this.) The bathroom was very nice, but the floor was not clean.

Beautiful place, staff so friendly. Bathroom was beautiful. The rooms were so comfortable, it was so nice to stay here.

The roads were a little loud but not a major problem at all, I didn't realise it was a shared bathroom but that was my bad, I never thought I'd enjoy staying at a place with a shared bathroom however I would stay here again as it was just such an amazing place to stay.

Loved the large luxurious bathroom with double vanity and wonderful shower with excellent water pressure. The bed was comfortable and the dressing area was a nice touch although a little cramped and basic.

The room was a little bit plain and sparse. No artwork on the walls and no luxurious touches. Aside from the bed and side tables, there was no other cabinetry or soft chair or cushions. The bar sized fridge was unceremoniously plonked near to the power point, under the wall-mounted TV. All of this is definitely not a major problem, just a bit disappointing.

Really nice hotel just off the highway in Wentworth falls. Great location for exploring the area or working. I stayed here for two nights and was really pleased with the comfort of the room, the friendliness of the staff and the delicious food at the restaurant (try the pie of the day!). My colleague has dietary requirements and they were able to modify the menu so he could safely eat. I was pretty tired from work and this comfortable and friendly place was just what I needed. Overall a lovely spot.
