Quiet at night, huge rooms, especially the bathroom, had a coffee machine in room, comfortable bed, well equipped with lights, desk, coffee table high enough to use for dining plus actual dining table. On-site restaurant that does room service.

Bathroom sink was blocked and not fixed during our two night stay (it was the weekend however). No replacement coffee pods for day two. TV quite small for size of lounge. Could go with blackout blind over kitchen sink. Would prefer not to have to go into the bar to check in.

Very neat, clean and well looked after.

The only noise we heard was from the door moving sometimes. It was not a tight fit with the draught excludeder, and you could see a bead of light around the edge of the door. The chairs sounded loud on the kitchen floor, and we could hear the neighbouring room's chairs scrape across their floor too. Other than that, and the fridge being a little noisy, it was great, very neat, clean and well looked after.

We were impressed at the spaciousness of the studio unit, with clearly defined kitchen, sleeping and living areas and plenty of room. By accident, rather than design, NorthStar was immediately adjacent to a church where we were attending a weekend conference. We could walk there through the carpark. That was a bonus!

We love Oamaru, but the fluoridated water taste takes a bit of getting used to.

Massive room, nicely decorated, well kitted out and very comfortable. Great location for Whitestone Cheese deli and cafe which we also loved.

The bar didn't live up to the description, barely any NZ wines, let alone Otago when it claimed to source local. Too far out of town to comfortably walk and no public transport.

The room was as booked and had all amenities one will need. The extra seating area was nice to have as well as the separation between sleeping and living. Staff was very friendly and efficient, and the location was out of town and quiet

On check in the reception was closed and we had to ring the check in number that staff would attend.

Nice big room, comfy bed, load sof tv channels. Easy 5 minute drive to town centre

No hot water on morning of our check out. It could not be fixed so we had to wait for another room to be cleaned so we could shower. Annoying as wanted to be off and on the road. Reception did keep us updated whilst they were trying to get it sorted though

Having a restaurant at the property, ment we could get a meal without travelling further. Very helpful staff and so friendly

The sign on the bar door said it was open til late and I 100% understand not being busy and shutting early due to this but my partner and I came back about 8.30pm to go and have some drinks and games of pool only to find the doors locked. The staff member came out and said they were shutting. I think it would have been nice to have some forewarning as we had come back to the hotel early specifically to hang out in the bar.

The staff we're very accomodating and friendly The size of the unit was great it was very clean, and the bed was super comfy. We are very happy with this Motel and will happily return, highly recommended.
