Amazing stay, spotlessly clean room, very comfortable bed, slept amazingly well, shower was amazing, host was lovely and told us everything we needed to know, he collected us from the airport and arranged for a taxi to collect us for an early flight the next morning, restaurants and pubs just a short walk away, the pan Asian restaurant was gorgeous, they have no alcohol licence though, so can only serve soft drinks, partner just nipped to the off licence up the road and purchased a bottle of wine, restaurant provided glasses, would highly recommend the The Lawn Guest House.

Great location which is within walking distance from Horley train station and restaurants; friendly and helpful host who was accommodating to guest needs; clean and well-decorated room; high level of cleanliness throughout. Aware that there is airport transport service which is a nice touch. Breakfast, if elected, was freshly prepared of your choice of eggs and toast with a solid amount of coffee; in addition to fruits, cereals and small pastries. The dining room was very well laid out and clean with ample natural light which provided for the perfect start of a day.

We had a warm welcome from the owner. The room was nice and had an extra bed as well as a double. There was a nice big bathroom with a bath, which I like to have. The location was very quiet and the folder in the room explained the history of the house. It was a very short walk to the amenities of Horley. We had dinner at a local restaurant which was good. I walked into the town centre in the morning . It was only a few miles from the wedding we were attending so that was very convenient. We had breakfast which was very good, as well as cereal, yoghurt etc there was also eggs on toast which suited us. We would stay there again if we needed a hotel near Gatwick as it is very close.

Lovely property, had character, fireplace in the bedroom, I found it to be very peaceful. The location was very handy for restaurants, Horley train station. The owner Quasim was quick to answer a question I had, greeted me when I arrived and took my case up to the room. There is a nice continental breakfast available at £8.00, it also included cooked eggs, I had the scrambled eggs, also available were fried eggs. Also toast and tea and coffee, juices etc. Another bonus a nice tea tray in the bedroom! Tea and coffee plus hot chocolate and biscuites.

This I feel is personal choice, the bed was too firm for me and the pillows were pretty flat. The bed was nice and fresh, but I’m used to memory foam! That’s just my preference.

Quasim, the host, was absolutely outstanding! His warm smile will immediately captivate you. He was very personable, professional, and more! He helped me to extend my time when I needed to and charged what was needed so that I had a place to stay until my flight. The breakfast was delicious. Her personally served the guests. He made me delicious eggs and toast. The cleaning service was incredible. The house was lovely. It was spacious and had a homey feel. Quasim was understanding and patient with me. He remained flexible. He even called a local leisure center to help me to get a work out in. He took me to the airport (for an additional charge) in a lovely Mercedes Sprinter van! You must stay here! Tremendous value!

The location was perfect! We landed at Heathrow Airport, but needed to connect through Gatwick Airport for a flight within 48 hours of our arrival in the UK. It couldn't have been easier. We took a bus trip from Heathrow Airport to Gatwick Airport, where our host picked us up. The Guest House was very comfortable, charming, and had some modern amenities. It was a short walk from the town/city of Horley, with restaurants and pubs. We were also close enough to walk to the train station, which gives you access to many UK cities. We went to Brighton for the day. The stay was comfortable. The location was excellent, quiet and peaceful, and the price was right!

The stay was great, but if we had to mention a negative, it would be that there was no air-conditioning, and we were on the first floor, so it was a bit unusual for us to keep the windows open without any screens while we slept. Our shower overflowed, but they fixed it immediately.

I stayed in the downstairs bedroom which was lovely and spacious and thankfully no stairs to drag my luggage up. Very well decorated and modern and clean bathroom & bedroom. Communication was excellent all through the booking process. When I arrived at the Horley train station I asked the owner if he could pick me up which he did. Thank goodness because it is not a comfortable walk if you’re carrying a suitcase. You would likely damage your suitcase if you chose to walk from Horley train station to the location.

The airport shuttle is only available from 9am. The cost of a taxi or Uber to Gatwick airport is about £18-19

Quasim was very welcoming. The location in relation to Gatwick airport is excellent and convenient and the free parking is a bonus. The property is clean and presentable and also very well placed for various restaurants and pubs in the area

I don’t know if this was unique to our room, but there was a continuous drumming sound, similar to a helicopter circling above the room which intensified considerably when the shower was used. We assumed this may be to do with water pressure or a maybe a pump running and because my wife is a light sleeper, she did find the noise unfortunately gave her a disturbed night.

Beautiful property, tucked away on a quiet street, homely, and comfortable, yet only a stones throw away from Gatwick. This was the best choice! So much better than staying at a cold, impersonal (not to mention overpriced) airport hotel. The Lawn Guesthouse feels like a home, and was just what we needed for a good nights rest after a long drive and before an early flight. The shower was amazing, the room spacious and beautifully decorated, we loved the complimentary tea and coffee (essential when you have a 5am start), communication was great and everything was spotlessly clean. Honestly couldn’t recommend enough. We took the train to Gatwick the next day which was maybe a 5-7 min walk, and one stop away.

The lawn guest house is a short walk from Horley train station so really easy to get to and to continue travelling on from. The property is beautifully maintained and presented on a quiet road. Easy short walk to many different places to eat. We didn't need parking but that is available on the driveway and looks spacious and secure. The owner, Quasim met us upon arrival and it's obvious that he cares passionately about his business. The décor was modern and tasteful, great bathrooms (we booked 2 rooms) and well equipped rooms. As we had time on our side on departure day, we went out for a cooked breakfast and Quasim generously allowed us to leave our bags at the guest house. Travel for my family of 5 to Gatwick airport was organised by Quasim so as with all elements during our short stay, we were extremely impressed with The Lawn Guest House and would absolutely recommend it for a short (or longer stay) in this area. As a convenient place to stay prior to a flight from Gatwick airport, I'd have no hesitation in booking here. Its clean, friendly and very well run, a great small business.

Not that it would deter us from staying here in the future but we would try to seek out a room with a king or super king sized bed. We had a double which was very comfortable, but a king would have been perfect.
