Right from the moment we checked in, our hosts were really friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was really good. As well as being - overall - really tasty, the food components themselves were great quality: i.e. 'real' bread, as opposed to that mass produced stuff you get in most other places and a real variety of fresh fruit. In addition, our hosts were always keen to know what we would like more - or less - of, the next morning: they really were very keen to please. This is something one definitely does not get in 'chain' hotels and was - by us - very much appreciated. Our room was very pleasant and always cleaned each day, to a very high standard. As the hotel is situated in a residential area, we enjoyed a quiet, peaceful stay - especially my husband, who is a 'light' sleeper. We also particularly liked the rear garden: a pleasant, tranquil place to sit, in between our sight-seeing excursions....Oh, and it's located within easy walking distance from the beach and local restaurants.

Nothing at all, really! (I'm 'prompted to write '2 or 3 sentences by the 'bot', so I'd better comply!!) So, to reiterate, there was nothing we didn't like!

Chaston Manor hotel is without a doubt one of my favourite hotels on the Island. The level of service you receive here is absolutely exceptional. The owners of the hotel are incredibly welcoming and accommodating to their guests; nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable with various options available for everyone from solo travellers to family groups. Breakfast here is an absolute must as well - freshly prepared to order using locally sourced ingredients, it is served with genuine care and attention. Whilst the hotel is on a fairly busy road (for the Island at least) you are not bothered by traffic noise. Additionally, you are only about a 10 minute walk from one of the most iconic beaches on the Island, with good road links to nearby Shanklin, Ryde and Ventnor.

The breakfast was fantastic! The staff very all very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble! Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

The shower didn’t maintain its heat! Kept going hot and cold, however it didn’t stop me using it! I’m guessing as it’s a larger building it’s harder to maintain its heat due to people turning on taps around the building. It wasn’t a cause for complaint at all.

Easy parking on site. Owners very friendly and helpful. Although we didn't need it as such, our ground floor room was obviously set up to cater for wheelchairs or people with limited mobility (ie wider than normal doorways, walk in shower with foldaway seat etc.) Excellent breakfasts (need to be ordered the night before so everything is ready.) 10-15 minute walk to sea front.

Nothing really. Some local IOW beer in the bar would be nice.

My stay here was perfect - the owners were very friendly and welcoming and certainly know how to run a hotel! My room had everything I needed and breakfast arrangements were very organised. The area is quiet but is only 5-10 mins walk from the seafront and restaurants there. I arrived by bike and was provided with a safe place to store it overnight which was much appreciated. The price for my (single) room with breakfast was very good value.

Excellent location and host. Place was much better then booking.com pictures. Very clean property. More then expected. Fine detailing of amenities in room. Host very kind. My nephew got ankle sprain he not only bought ice cube but left the ice maker on throughout if its needed at night time. Breakfast was amazing

Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and the variety and quality of breakfasts at Chaston Manor prepared by Callum or Trudi were outstanding. Also, Callum was the perfect host, very helpful and knowledgeable, great sense of humour, and nothing was too much trouble, which was remarkable, especially as for a couple of days he was working alone. I would definitely stay there again and recommend Chaston Manor to other people.

There was nothing that I didn't like.

Stayed just the one night for work. On Arrival i was shown around (lounge , TV room , Dining area , Outside , My room.) Found the building to be very clean. I had a single room and it was spot on. TV, Coffee/Tea (with milk and sugar which some places forget about) On suite shower. Breakfast was great. Full English is a gut buster. Recommended.

The hotel owners were friendly, attentive and caring. The facilities were just what you would want for any length of stay. Unbelievably clean, generous complimentary tea coffee making supplies. Excellent full English breakfast. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely return. Far exceeds anywhere else I have previously stayed at on the Isle of Wight. Thank you.

There was nothing I didn't like.

From the reception to leaving everything was excellent. I travelled by bicycle and they locked it away in a shed each night. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them. Staff were great. Breakfasts were really good and well cooked. You need a good appetite to manage the full English but you can order exactly what you want. There is a great choice. Really great value for money.

For me it was perfect. I had a single room which for some may have been a little small but it was clean and had everything I needed.
