Excellent location, walking distance to many of the major attractions. Very comfortable large room. Very good breakfast and bar area. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

Current work on the new metro line close to the hotel did create traffic congestion.

Location, location location! You can walk to every major attraction from here. ( there are some hills though! ) Beautiful room looking out to the Douro and Cathedral. Spacious and soft bed. Amazing shower too. All the comforts of home. Breakfast daily was included and set us up for the day. Staff were engaging and helpful on every level!

Renovations in the square outside and around the Säo Bento ( for past 4 years) mean that accessing the car area for dropping off bags can be a little difficult, but the concierge sort things out pretty efficiently and they park your car for the period you’re staying in Porto.. you don’t need a car at all!

The hotel is well maintained, feels quality as soon as you enter, spacious room, staff at front desk a bit naive but the concierge services were fantastic. The linens - oh the linens. The bedding was amazingly comfortable and cozy. Turn down service a bonus. The room was always well attended to. Food in the bar and breakfast was delightful.

It couldn’t be helped but the construction was a bit distracting. Will be wonderful when all is complete!

All staff: Raquel on reception was simply adorable, Ana also..the guys at the Concierge, helping us with our restaurant bookings and the parking of the car. The cleaning staff, although we never saw them, their presence was undoubtedly there. Location, very accessible. Close to all major attractions. Great room. Even though we were facing the construction.

MAYBE, Breakfast could be more interesting,although the continental spread was reasonable. Lighting in the room was not enough, and we're oddly placed, but there were plenty of power sockets, including USB ports for charging.

The location of the hotel is perfect. The management at the reception is very hospital. Thank you so much for lots of unpredictable presents for us. The room was very cozy.

The service, room, facilities and location were so good that I have to give this hotel a very positive review despite the fact that there is extensive and noisy Metro construction going on outside. This of course is not the hotel's fault and they did everything they could to make us comfortable. Fortunately the construction was mostly not going on while we were sleeping. If you are able to get a courtyard view (instead of a street view), then you will not be very inconvenienced by the construction. After-hours and on Sunday we opened our wonderful Juliet-balcony doors wide and it was lovely. The breakfast restaurant is lovely and the service very good. The breakfast choices are also very good. Also the hotel itself is really lovely, inside and out.

Well of course, it would have been better with no construction outside. Apart from that, I can't think of anything they could do better.

Very good location and very clean with very friendly and helpful staff. Beds were extremely comfortable, the bar waiter was very friendly and there was some live music on Saturday evening.

Breakfast was good but missed out slightly on the 5 star standards. The a la carte dishes were pre-prepared and were served almost cold. The sweet breads were placed out from beginning of breakfast and were hard and stale by 10am. Omelettes were made fresh however and were very good. The construction outside was not loud at the weekend however on Monday morning it shook the entire hotel.

Unfortunately, there was construction happening right infront of the hotel. But nothing can be done about that, probably in some months it will be resolved.

Shower could have been a little better, water pressure was weak

We loved the central location of the hotel. The staff were very kind , courteous and attentive to our needs. There were small nice touches that the staff had done throughout our stay.
