Room was beautiful, after coming from Melbourne this was a very pleasant welcome home, my partner and I were surprised by just how nice it was. Room and bathroom were very big and spacious and the bed was so comfortable compared to most hotels. We didn’t meet any staff because we arrived late at night but they made sure to give us lots of direction and information on how to access our key and they had the lamps on and heater on in our room which was lovely. Dare I say it this room was much nicer than where we stayed in Melbourne and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and I would be delighted to stay here again. The staff also didn’t hesitate to let us have a later checkout free of charge 😊 all and all was a lovely experience.

I found this place by accident really and during a last minute trip for work, upon arrival I had a nice chat with the lovely lady at the front desk in the awesome old building that sits behind the Areca complex, the room was warm, quiet, clean and modern but tastefully decorated with warm furnishings. A large bathroom and shower were very convenient, I think I had the standard room, which had an outlook over the city, which was quite nice. A good smart TV was handy to watch my current series on Amazon Prime before sleep. I slept like a log on the big comfy bed and the entire night was very quiet. Parking is ample, I have a large work ute and it fitted in underneath without issue, it's all rather compact when parking in the city but this hotel has made well with the space they have. There are thoughtful elements in the rooms like a few mints, decent coffee and tea and even make up removing items for the ladies, you can see some thought has gone into making people comfortable. I will definitely stay here again. The folks who run this place have come to Australia to live and doing their best to make tourists welcome. They succeeded with my stay for sure.
I really couldn't think of anything that could have been better with my stay.

Great location, easy to get keys and return. We had a huge flight delay but was relieved that with easy instructions, we got the keys and went into room easy. Was clean and had a good view
Shower smelled a little like drain water each time you use it. Mattress very soft and side table was so close, each time i turned i hit my elbow on the corner and mind u it was glass so it hurts. Parking is challenging for people not comfortable to drive, so take it slow and easy.

The rooms are well appointed and are generous in size. The views from the rooms are excellent as the hotel is perched on a hill. There is a large shower head, and plenty of hot water. The WiFi is consistent. The bed linen is good quality. There are plenty of car park spaces (I parked under cover, under the building, which was easy to access).
The mattress was a little soft for me, but that is a personal choice. There is a central atrium, which is double height, where there is a common seating area. Unfortunately, all the finishes in this area are hard surfaces, so the sound reverberates and travels to the rooms. I am not sure if the noise source was other visitors or the cleaners talking loudly and vacuuming, but on a Sunday morning it would be reasonable to allow visitors staying in the hotel some quiet in the morning.

The lady at the reception was lovely. I'd booked 1 room to stay in Launceston before heading home after a week in the Tassie wilderness. At the last minute my teenage daughter came along with me. I realized 1hr out from Launceston that we both needed a bit of space after the week together. I rang, explained the situation. They didn't usually book so last minute but cause I already had a booking the receptionist was brilliant and had the extra room cleaned with only a 15min wait for my daughters room. Anyone with a teenage daughter can understand why sometimes a little of ones own space can make a big difference. Our holiday ended with a stress free mum and daughter and that's priceless. Thank you again. Oh and the rooms were spotless, the bed super comfy. Great stay
It's minor but there isn't a elevator. It's only 2 levels and me, who's luggage is always heavy, it was a bit of a struggle. The receptionist did ask if we needed help and that was great.

Location is pretty good. Close to the markets and the city park, lot of restaurants around. Hotel is clean, functionally good, with most necessary amenities. Enough parking space, with easy checkin and checkout. The view of the city from the room is quite amazing. Value for money too.
A restaurant on site would perhaps provide additional convenience for breakfast or dinner, especially late in the evenings when it is cold and one is tired/unwilling to step out. No major kitchen equipment in room to cook light meals. (For us though - this didn't pose a practical hassle since we were out anyway and there are a bunch of eateries at walking distance)

The location and the price. The rooms are large.
We stayed here in 2021 and our room was excellent. We found the pillows to be very uncomfortable and thin this time. They need changing. We did not sleep well because of it. The view from our window was also not as good as our first visit as we just looked out over a roof and a lot of mess down below from the neighbours. Obviously it was not the fault of the hotel, but it did turn us off possibly booking again.

It was a comfortable stay, very quiet, clean smaller Motel.Opening window, which was great for fresh air. Slept very well in the comfy bed.Lovely views! Great reception when we arrived.
Very steep driveway ( but that's Launceston and saw many steep driveways while there. It did freak me out a bit as it was wet when we arrived) and a bit of a difficult driveway to get in & out of, but we managed in the end! Would have liked a toaster in the room if the motel doesn't offer breakfast service or have a restaurant. We had to drive to find a cafe, nothing we could see close by to walk to. I did realise it didn't have a toaster before I booked but when your away for a little while it gets costly buying 3 meals a day & sometimes just want a lazy morning without having to go out. This is just a suggestion not a complaint.🙂

Everything about our stay was fantastic. The hotel is conveniently located within a 10–15 minute walk to the heart of the city, making it easy to explore on foot. Our room offered a lovely view, was clean and well-presented, and included all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Excellent value for money – we would definitely stay here again!
Nothing to report.

Very friendly and competent staff at the reception. Our room was very clean and the bathroom was nice.
Be aware that the hotel is perched on a hill and that the access road is very steep if you have a passenger vehicle with not a lot of clearance. The pillows were too high for our liking. The air conditioning unit in our room was located right above the doorway and not very effective.
